He was about to lose it completely as the dark memory played itself over and over. A strain on his mind that it can no longer take, it had nearly consumed his being until came the stinging sensation from the meeting between Fallon's open hand and Kreig's cheek. Finding his head turning to a different direction with eyes filled with shock, before finding himself being hugged by Fallon. His shocked eyes dripping with tears and looked more tired than ever before, a puffy sensation forming beneath.
He sobbed and sniffled as he rested his head against her shoulder, his eyes buried while her arms held him gently with one hand caressing his hair. He found himself rocking slightly as she hushed him, trying to comfort the brawler whi felt like he'd been reduced to that timy innocent child who used to follow his mum around the big bad city. He wished that embrace lasted an eternity longer....
But then she pulled away, her hands rested on his shoulders as she looked down....
He could barely believe the words he was hearing, but he had too. He had to believe each and every one of them was true. He was not some cold-hearted monstera and that the sins he committed had been atoned for.
She called him a savior, he had saved her life.... but he didn't quite feel that. He simply felt he saved her from the troubles he made. But he knew better to disagree and slowly nodded.. he had to .... those were her words and had to.
All he truly knew was that a great weight had been lightened considerably..... Perhaps sleep could finally be found?
"I will not dare forget"
