The Wilderness of Cyphrus is an endless sea of tall grass that rolls just like the oceans themselves. Geysers kiss the sky with their steamy breath, and mysterious craters create microworlds all their own. But above all danger lives here in the tall grass in the form of fierce wild creatures; elegant serpents that swim through the land like whales through the ocean and fierce packs of glassbeaks that hunt in packs which are only kept at bay by fires. Traverse it carefully, with a guide if possible, for those that venture alone endanger themselves in countless ways.

The day was still yet young, the golden light still filtering in through the dark, when Ragnor decided to explore beyond the grounds of the Sanctuary, away from so much life that haunted him with memories. In missing so much of what he'd lost, he'd awakened a unwanted desire, and worse yet, he remembered clearly how he had gave into the desire so long ago. He would not, could not break against such temptation again, and so he moved away from the place with all speed, determined to master his desire before he returned.

* * * * *

On and on he went, deep into the tall grasses of that so characterized this strange land outside of Riverfall. Over time he'd managed to get used to the sight of it, stretching as far as his eyes could wander, but still he couldn't help but to notice how different it was from his home city of Avanthal. How did one navigate after all in this vast, seemingly endless plane that lacked any such distinguishing landmarks. Sama'el seemed to find his way with ease around here, but he was of these grasses, and likely lived nearby the Sanctuary to Ragnor's own best guess.

A stirring in the grass next to him broke his concentration from his thoughts, and not even really thinking about it, he moved into the creature's path. The hare ran on haphazardly for a few more steps before Ragnor managed to assume complete control, simply content to let it sit still there for a moment while he gathered his thoughts.

What was he doing?

He'd come out here to get control over such desires, and in the moments of coming across another life form he'd submitted so easily. Worst of all was that he'd wanted it, wanted to feel such control over life, even though it came with none of the sensation. It troubled him deeply to find such desires in his heart, and even more so now that he felt like he was losing control over himself. What was to stop he from possessing a person next? What was to stop him from hurting someone again? Why hadn't he released control over this creature?

Because secretly he liked it

The truth of the notion stung him, shocking his reserved sensibilities so he did the only thing he knew what to do in such a moment. He pushed away the nagging thoughts that clouded his mind by instead focusing on controlling this creature whom's ungainly form would be more than enough of a challenge. Willing the creatures muscles to react to his present possession, his soulmist generated spastic movements from the creatures limbs as he worked through the process of seeing what moved which. He'd never possessed a four legged creature before, and having to account for balance after so long was more than troublesome, his 'movements' causing the hare to haphazardly crawl, doing more shaking than moving forward.

After several moments of this, he willed the creature to stop moving, more than a bit frustrated with himself, in part because he couldn't get the hare to move like he wanted, though largely because he was ashamed at his current indulgence, at his ignorance of reason. What would his wife think of his actions? What of his children, or Kavala for that matter?

Remembering them gave him strength, and with a concentrated effort of will, he released the creature to go about its own movements once more. He had a ways to go before he mastered this desire, he realized, and soberly he moved onwards deeper into the grasses, his determination fading into desperation as he struggled to retain whom he was. For he would never be safe to be around unless he came to terms with what he not so secretly wanted.

OOCSorry for replying late. I usually try to answer right away they post the thread!

After she gave a thought about her new life style she was ready to escape from the city once more for the day. She put on her cloak and she was quickly going out, Leth was just about to change role with Syna. She was more like running than walking. She didn't want to anyone see her when the Sun hits Eida with her light. She was running and end of the bridge she stopped to get some breath.

As she looked at the sky, Syna was already there. She changed her form, she was once again a symenestra. Her eyes became sensitive to the light. She had to rub it and turned away from Syna. She went along the brigde out to the wilderness. The tall grass, she lied down there. She was rather take a nap than go hunting.

And she was unaware what danger could get her. She thought she will just rest in here peace. The grass was becoming warmer and Eida was hot too as the sun touched her skin. She slowly closed her eyes and tried to forget the world around her. She was about to fell asleep when she heard noises. She quickly get up and looked around."Is someone there?" she asked right away.

For several moments, Ragnor couldn't help but to float their puzzled at the voice that came from the grass, though which direction he didn't quite recognize as he puzzled over how might they have known he was here. He did lack a physical form after all, so unnecessary noise was usually not an issue for him, so how, and more importantly what was this person doing this far out in the grass?

The rabbit, thats how.

He chuckled softly to himself when he realized such an obvious answer, hardly believing how he'd missed that. That only left the question of why this person out in the grass, and not so far from the Sanctuary at that. Though he thought little of that at the current moment, more curious than anything at this stranger in the wilds. Obviously they had to be quite experienced roughing it out here amongst the tall golden grass, for he'd heard of fierce predators roaming within the sea, as well as seen much destruction since he came to reside here. Such was the unpleasantness that came with such wild territory after all, not that he had much to worry about.

"Aye, I mean you no harm, just wandering the grasses" Ragnor started rather hesitantly before concentrating on coalescing his soulmist into a more solid looking form. He decidedly did not give too much attention to detail as he was already feeling quite taxed from his possession of the rabbit, and didn't want to stress his soulmist further. When his image finally came to solidify he was wearing a plain grey shirt with tan breeches, though anyone who got a good look at him would notice that something was off about the clothing's apportionment, one leg a bit too long on the breeches and so on, because this was a form he was only most recently working on from his recollections. It brought him back to his days at sea, and that managed to soothe him somewhat but his memory was not quite as accurate as the reality at sea was he'd come to expect.

Those were contemplations for another time though, Ragnor knew as he willed himself forward through the grass, attempting to catch a glimpse of whomever he'd managed to stumble across.

OOCWow "only" one month.... Forgive me! :paranoid:

She looked at her next and she was shocked. Something she didn't expect, a ghost. But a symenestra wasn't expected near Riverfall either. She stood up quickly, and shook her head if she was seeing right. And she was. She didn't want to be rude, but somebody who escaped from Dira must have problems. But she wasn't sure what to do. Help him move on? Or just simply talk?

Eida couldn't see very well, but he saw the ghost looked more solid than the one she has met before. Her hands slowly were going closer to him. It was cold around them and as her hands were going closer it was colder and colder. She touched him with only her fingers and immediately pulled it back. Like an ice. She felt she shouldn't do this again, it might be rude, or make him angry.

She then tried to smile, which showed her fangs a bit. "I'm sorry..." The first words came out of her mouth. She didn't know why she felt so strange. It was something unusual. "My name is Eida, daughter of Leth. What.. what happened with you?"

To risk it all.. for what? (Eida)

For several moments, he was rendered speechless by his surprise at finding the woman. He wondered instantly if she was like him, ghostly pale as she was and in alone in such a dangerous place as this. Then she moved, and quickly disproved his hopeful notion, for he could properly see that she was solid, with all the movements he scarcely remembered now, like blinking. That only unsettled him further, for now he was torn between wondering what he should do, and how exactly she came to be out here.

She reacted before he could bring himself to, her lithe hand reaching out ever so slowly towards him, and strangely he found himself apprehensive. Perhaps it had been the taxing experience of possession that had him so off balance, but he couldn't bring himself to place just what about this woman kept him frozen in place, and speechless for that matter. Was it her striking purple eyes, or her touch too fair skin. Or maybe it was the long, black claws on the end of each finger, reaching out towards him menacingly. What manner of creature was she!?

Something invaded his soulmist, pricking at his inner being, and reflexively he blinked backwards a few feet. He completely lost the composure of his materialized image with that erratic movement, but he was hardly paying attention to how wispy he appeared. The woman had touched him, and in a manner of speaking, he felt it! Maybe not quite like he had in life, but still it was something.

He blinked again, this time back were he was, enough perhaps in time to catch a glimpse her fanged smile that would only serve to further creep him out, though to him unused to such emotions, it just felt like a welling sense of unease at the whole situation even as he was telling himself he had nothing to fear from this creature of flesh and blood, and to the relief of the budding feelings within him, she spoke, in common even!

"Ragnor" Ragnor answered distractedly, still overwhelmed by her appearance and even more so by her question. He wasn't comfortable talking about his death with his family, let alone with strangers that looked oddly similar to the monsters in childhood tales. and wouldn't have even given her his name, but he was far to distracted to reason the implications of such a thing at this moment. Still despite all appearances the woman spoke, and acted rather pleasantly, if not rather friendly. Kavala had given him a chance..

"Tis a tale I'd prefer not to burden your mind with.." He hesitated for a moment before adding "but if you'll tell me how you came to be out here, I will tell you if you would still like to know"
