Known as the Celestial Seat, Nyka is a religious city in Northern Sylira. Ruled by four demigods and traversed by a large crevice, the monk-city is both mystical and dangerous. [Lore]

Savio couldn’t help but to cock his head slightly in confusion when the other man started to get undressed so that he too just wore pants. Perhaps he wished to use himself as a living dummy? The idea was almost comical if he hadn’t been more concerned for hurting his new acquaintance. At least he seemed more than willing to help, and Savio appreciated that.
Savio dropped down into the stance Ximal had taught him, trying to get a proper feel of his body. His knees bent slightly, bringing his center of balance lower to the ground. He raised his arms and held them in a defensive position in front of his face and upper chest, but rather than clinching his hands into fists he opted to keep them open. He began to focus on his limbs and the feeling of how they moved. He needed to be looser, more flexible but still maintain balance and stability.
“Just let me warm up real quick and then we can move on to the creative part.” Savio said as he regulated his breathing. He took a deep, cleansing breath before practicing basic punches and kicks. His movements slow at first but they quickly gained speed the more he repeated the maneuvers.
Once he was comfortable with the basics, he stopped his practice and walked over to his wooden gladius and started drawing simple stick figure men in the sand. Each stick figure performing a few new moves he had imagined while daydreaming in his room or from dreams. The first one was of one using its arms to swing his legs out in a circular motion so that both legs could perform several kicks in a short amount of time. The next little picture in the sand was the figure being flung backwards and using the momentum to proplem themselves like a spring to create a living javelin. The final doodle depicted a strange combination of dancing moves, punches, and kicks.
“I thought of these earlier, but I havnt had the chance to put them to practice. They seem to work in theory, but I don’t know how they will turn out if I did them physically.” Savio studied the pictured a little longer, hoping that Aider could make heads or tails of what he had tried to draw.

Aider nodded, remaining quiet as he had nothing interesting to say as he watched Savio begin to do his warm up. A slight breeze blew through the man in training moved in a way Aider had not seen before. He wondered if it was derived from a version of the monks training or something that his teacher had seen from traveling. Or maybe even something his teacher had invented. He pondered the thought as it went through his mind. The sun shining down on them as he was snapped back into reality, when Savio had spoken. He moved over to expect the drawings, the first was a spinning kick of some sort, the second.... well frankly he had no idea and the third. "Is that a dance?" he asked, turn his head towards Savio. "Do you plan on dancing them into submission? Or is it for more cunning reasons.... Maybe to distract your enemy while you look for his weak points?" he asked in a semi-sarcastic way. He chuckled to himself as he scratched his chin waiting for Savio to continue.
Hey all, just wanted to say I am sorry for any delays and failed promises. I am getting ready for a huge trip out of the country as well as taking on a lot of extra shifts at work. The creative side of my brain hasn't been active as of late.

Savio rolled his eyes at Aider’s comment. “The point of the dancing is to keep moving to avoid hits. It’s more difficult to hit a moving target than a still one. I had seen some buskers in Herring Square the other day doing an interesting dance and it inspired me.”
Savio then pointed to the middle sketch with his wooden gladius. “This one is meant as a counter attack. You know, if someone hits you or pushes you backwards. If it works out how I imagine it, you should be able to move with the force of motion and use it to my advantage, pushing myself off of the ground with my hands to propel my legs back to my opponent to deliver a hard blow to his stomach or chest.”
Finally he moved the wooden training sword to the other drawing in the sand. “And this one is something a bit simpler. I learned an acrobatic movement back in Syliras.” Savio backed away from his drawings and sat his gladius aside so that his hands were free. He then turned so that he had plenty of room ahead of him and behind him. “I am going to try this one first.”
He then took a deep breath before taking off in a sprint. Once at a proper speed Savio sprung into a vault, falling onto his hands and using the momentum and power to swing his legs around in and attempt to kick. It would have worked if he had planned for the amount of power that went into his motions, but he only ended up losing his balance. He went face first into the sand and successfully got a mouth full of it.
He pushed himself off from the ground and attempted to spit out the sand and wipe is face. “Well, that didn’t go quite as planned.” He murmured sourly in between coughs and spitting.

"That would make sense"he said waving his hand in the air. "But don't you think that's a bit much? Wouldn't you use more energy doing that?" he asked. Before he got an answer Savio was describing his second picture. Aider imagined it, trying to think If it was possible. He had seen people do crazier things, but to launch ones self with just his hands, he shrugged. "Okay, but are you sure..." he stopped mid sentence as he noticed Savio had moved, taking off in a full sprint he watched the man do his technique. Then he watched him plummet to the ground eating sand. He put his hand over his mouth hiding the small chuckle that he couldn't keep in. "Are you okay" he asked.

Savio finished wiping his face as he walked back over to Aider to grab his water bag and pour some water into mouth to rinse out some of the grit and spat that out too. Most of it was out, but he could still feel it on his tongue and in his teeth. He smirked at Aider while still slightly distracted by trying to figure out what exactly he had done wrong.
“I’m fine. It’s not the first time I’ve tasted dirt, and I am sure it won’t be the last.” Savio said with a light chuckle. It had been a pretty humorous crash, so he didn’t fault Aider for laughing.
He then leaned back on his heels and crossed his arms while he immersed himself in thought. He went over the motions in his mind, comparing what he had done to what he wanted to do. “Aider, did you noticed anything incredibly wrong with what i did just then?” Savio asked, wondering if perhaps he went into the motion wrong to begin with. He needed a second opinion from someone who would have noticed something drastically wrong.

"Well for starters, you're trying to do a move that seems to rely on someone being there. So you are putting enough power to do some damage and possible knock the air out of said target. So if you want to practice, try to not push off so hard, and just remember that when you actually use it. Add the power back." he said. He stepped over to Savio, just giving his body a quick look over to make sure nothing noticeable was wrong. "I have a question... If you are doing that move and they swing a sword at you, do you think you'll have enough power to flip away from them? Like instead of throwing yourself back at them, could you flip back away and create distance?" he asked, hoping that he understand what he meant. He walked around the drawling's feeling the sand shift beneath his bare feet. He wondered what training was like at this school, he looked up at Savio and asked "How are the teachers here?".

Savio took Aider’s advice into deep consideration. Less power would seem more logical. Perhaps he wouldn’t need a running start, and just let gravity give him the power he needs. Savio’s brow was furrowed in concentration until his new acquaintance brought up a good point, what if he as fighting an opponent with a weapon.
“I didn’t think of that.” Savio admitted as he when over the offensive and defensive variations of the move. He was still thinking about it while he started to pace back and forth, when he absentmindedly answered the other man’s next question.
“The teachers are strict for the most part; they expect your best and will push you constantly. But they are good at what they do, and they each have their own way of teaching you.”
Savio then nodded to himself once he decided the best course of action for the variation for his new technique. “Alright, I am going to try this again.” He gave Aider a nervous smile before getting into a proper stance, he then took a deep breath before taking a quick three steps forward before jumping slightly into the air and moving into the beginning step of a front hand spring. His hand hands hit the ground and his legs kicked into the air, but rather than flipping over to complete the hand spring, he shifted his weight around so that his legs could spin in a diagonal circle to perform what will be a double kick; the force of motion and gravity assisting the power and strength of his movements, but in a more manageable fashion. He completed the circle and then returned his legs into a proper handstand before allowing his body to fall and complete the technique with a back hand spring. He landed square on his feet in a slight crouch before standing straight once more.
“Aha! It worked!” Savio exclaimed excitedly.

Aider nodded to the reply to his question, he sighed slightly. He smiled as he watched Savio perform his technique, this time in success. "Very nice. See, power is the answer to a lot of problems. Some people use to much, causing them to lose control and some use to little causing them to fail. Its all about balance, that includes most fighting." he said. He nodded before simply adding in "Or so I've heard." He walked around the courtyard, his mind plagued by many different thoughts. He looked back towards Savio and smiled, a bright, friendly smile. "So whats next" he asked walking back towards Savio, he was enjoying the conversation. Even though fighting wasn't really his thing, he preferred to create then destroy. To learn rather then fight, that was Aider. But sometimes he wondered if that wasn't the way to be in this world. Of course there was some people in Nyka, who you could carry a decent conversation with someone. But learning seemed to be short, at least for what he wanted to learn. But that was a quest for another day, today he was here to help.

Savio walked back over to his little drawings in the sand and looked them over once more. The next picture was of the stick figure being flung backwards and then turning it into a counter attack. Savio rubbed his chin in thought. “This next technique is a counter move. If I was to be pushed back or perhaps I fling myself back to avoid an attack, I should be able to use this. In theory, of course.” Savio said thoughtfully.
He once again stepped back from his drawings and took another breath. This one should be pretty simple, at least. Savio then flung himself back, like he would if he was avoiding a massive attack. He moved with the momentum, not resisting but still manipulating it. He curved his body slightly as he moved his hands above and behind his head to catch himself before his shoulders and back crashed into the ground. He continued to let the energy propel his body into a compressed form as his hands and upper shoulders braced him. Before the rest of his body could make contact with the ground, he pushed off with all if his strength, uncoiling his body and locking his legs together to form a human lance. He went a pretty decent distance before hitting the ground in a slide, sand getting in his shorts and on his sweat slicked skin.
Savio looked up and grinned at Aider. This technique was also a success. “Well, what do you think?”

Aider watched the man do his technique, he seemed to pull it off just fine. "It looks like it worked, but I would like to see it in real combat. You know, see if anyone could reverse it or something. " he said with a shrug. He walked around the courtyard, rolling his shoulders as he thought about fighting. He sighed and shook his head looking back towards Savio. "So whats next" he asked as a warm breeze blew on his face. He walked over to the picture and looked at the dance. "How exactly is this suppose to look?" he asked pointing down at the picture, his eyes locked on Savio. He didn't really understand the point of this last technique, he wanted to see it. Wanted to see what Savio actually had planned.
