Sei was on his way to the Fighter Pit, and was carrying his training post in his right arm, and he strolled casually down the path until it came into view. He stepped into the pit and sat down the post. It was heavy, even for him, and it dug into the dirt with a loud thunk. He was sure no matter how hard he sliced at with the sword at his waist, there was no way he was going to budge it. He dropped his equipment to the ground, and gripped the hilt of the sword. He removed it from it's sheath and held it shakily in front of him. It was heavy, and the tip of the blade was closer to the grond than the hilt. He paused momentarily to inhale a long, deep breath, and re-sheathed the sword. He the tensed the muscles in his arms repeatedly, releasing the tension. He then relaxed his arms for a few moments, and removed his sword from the sheath faster than the last time. He focused his strength into his arms, and managed to keep the hilt of his longsword closer to the ground than the edge of the blade. It was a tiny bit easier, but after a few moments, the tension made him lower the blade.

He sheathed the sword and took a few moments to relax his arm muscles, and taking three long, deep breaths, he took out the sword again. He last at least seven moments longer before he let the blade lower to the ground. He was breathing heavily, mainly because he would hold his breath while attempting to keep the sword airborne. He windmilled his right arm for several moments, and repeated the process with his left. He wiggled his fingers. When his muscles relaxed, he removed the sword from the sheath. He tried to breath, and took slow, deep breaths, and maintained the blade with more ease. He then tried to swing the sword, bringing it to his left. He lost his footing and nearly cut himself as he lost control of the blades' weight and lost his grip. The blade fell to the ground with a solid clank, and he let out a sigh of relief. Geez.. That could have been really bad.. He thought, frowning as he looked over the blade. He pushed the thought to the back of his mind, and concentrated on his training. From the looks of it, he had brought the post with him for nothing. He let his muscles relax and gripped the hilt of the blade. He struggled to lift it from the ground, and when he had lifted it, he was sweating. He continued to even out his breaths, and focused his strength into his arms.

He gripped the hilt with his fingers, steady his grip every few moments due to his sweaty palms. He held the sword, balancing the weight evenly, and he lifted it slightly, forcing it up a little. There was no way he was going to be able to swing this thing anytime soon. He tested the weight of the blade, desperately trying to find his hold. He focused on the arm positions that lessened the strain on his muscles, and repeatedly tried to shift into the arm stance in different positions. He shealthed his blade and walked over to his rucksack, and took out his waterskin. He took off the lid, took a long swig of water, and closed the lid and placed it back in his bag. He then windmilled his arms, forward and then backward. He lifted his arms and reached as high as he could without moving his legs. When he was done, he took out his long sword and began to look for a body stance to flow with his arm stance. By now he was used to the weight of the blade. He couldn't control it, but he could lift it. He hefted up the blade and changed his stance. He spread his legs and held the sword in front off him, the blade pointed toward the sky, and walked forward with it. He shifted his weight, but the blades mass didn't effect him. He then turned to a light jog, and shifted his weight once more. Once again, the blades mass had little effect. He then started to run, and as he shifted his weight, the blade stood firm. He ran toward the training post, and driven by confidence, he slashed at it. His balance shook a little, but he found his footing and finished the slash. The blade thudded into the post, and wedged itself a few centimeters into it. He removed the blade lazily, and looked at the post. The blade hadn't cut deep, but it had still left behind an incision mark.

He lifted the sword and sliced at the post, leaving another incision on the post. He made a full circle, and sliced at the post, a little deeper, but not much. He then took the sword an jabbed the post, causing the metal to vibrate, sending a sting through his funnny bones. He dropped the sword and shook his arms, trying to get rid of the feeling. Not one of my good ideas... He thought. He removed the blade from the post and struck it again, swinging it in an arc toward the post. He put more weight behind it, and managed to cut a few inches into it.

Notes :
It's a good idea to make your solos longer as I have repeatedly told you. At least 3 medium-long length posts.

And I love how you describe his difficulties as a Novice in detail. :) I award you an extra XP for it, please keep it up.

My radiance is not bright enough?
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your grade, beam me a PM and we can work it out. :)
