Sei sat cross legged, and the only sound was the steady breathing, and the constant rain hitting the apartment. He focused on his warmth, and felt a steady flow dribble down his arm. He conected the flow, and evened it into a steady stream. He opened his eyes, and concentrated on removing the warmth. He tried to imagine a drain, and started to feel the slow pull of warmth back to his chest. He forced his eyes to stay open, and winced as the drain completed. Just becaus he was getting better didn't mean it felt any less weird. He drained the djed from his arm untila smaller portion was contained. He focused on channelling the djed into his knuckles, and gave the apartment floor a lighter tap. He removed his fist and rubbed his knuckles, pleased to find a nice sized dent in the floor.

He felt a twinge of pain, and winced. He was trying to hard, and if he wasn't careful he would disable himself. He poked his arm, and flexed the muscles, releasing some tension, and resumed his lesson. He took a deep breath, and tuned in to the djed in his chest, unfortunately, to do so, he had to close his eyes. He pushed back his pain, and swallowed three times, making sure that he endured it. He was sweating like a hog, and his breathing was uneven and shakey. He pressed through it, and managed to get a small flow of djed into his left arm. He harnessed the warmth and guided it towards his knucles. He was almost out of focus, and by the time the warmth reached his elbow, he lost his concentration and the flow retracted to it's perch in his chest.

He fell back, and wheezed slightly. He pushed himself up, and tried to even out his breathing. After ten, long, deep breaths, he was able to calm his body, and he had stopped sweating as well. He had decided to keep his shhirt off, seding as how overheatinh wouldn't do him any good, and instead focused on his meditation. He closed his eyes, and searched yet again for the warmth in his chest, and when he had a proper grip, he began to guide the warmth through his joints. When the warmth was locked into his knuckles, he focused on transfering the djed, and focused with all his might, and expelled the djed. He felt a hint of drainage, and then to his surprise he felt the warmth reappear in his right arm. Please don't be a fluke! He thought, tapping the ground. He winced slightly, and rubbed his stinging knuckles, pleased to see his little experience had given him an opportunity. He paced around, and thought carefully about his next moves.

For the whole time he'd been practicing, he'd only been using his arms. It wasn't as bad as he thought, and the meditation helped other things besides finding his djed. He had thought using his arms was the best he could do, but he began to wonder about his other joints. He began wanting to experiment, and decided to try his legs. He thought about for a bit, and decided to write down his thoughts. He walked into his bedroom, and took up his quill once more, and began to write:

'Flux is the use of djed to simulate the muscles in a desired area, and I'm beginning to think about using it on other areas besides my arms. If I do, I plan to go over the risks thoroughly.'

He finished up and removed his boots, and walking into his living area, he sat in a chair. He closed his eyes, and searched for his djed. He began to sweat, and by the time he had reached the flow, he was out of breath. He pressed on, and he was soon able to feel a pinch of warmth, which vanished when he could no longer handle the strain. He panted, and wiped the sweat from his brow. Maybe there was a reason he hadn't tried his other joints yet. He slumped to the floor and started his meditation. Once calm, he would start again.

[Sei's Apartment]Fluxing Your Muscles, II

Sei stretched his arms, and began to search for his djed. He began to feel the warmth in his chest, and tightened his focus. He felt the warmth start creeping over his left shoulder, and spread like fire to his fingertips. He then opened his eyes, and focused on stopping the flow, sealing the djed in his arm. He waited for several moments, and closed his eyes once again. He focused on the drain of the djed back into his chest, and felt chills roll down his spine when his arm felt like blood was being sucked away. He stopped when there was a small amount left in his fingertips, which would drain away on it's own, and repeated the process until he felt like he was going to pass out. He stood shakily, and almost dropped back to the ground. His legs felt like jelly, and his muscles were stiff, and filled with tension. I'm trying way to hard. If I don't watch it, I'll end up with some serious damage, he thought casually.

He forced his legs to move, and eventually made it to his bedroom. He collapsed on his bed, unable to move his legs, and groaned. He couldn't even move his toes. He turned over onto his back, and stared at the ceiling. After staring for a bit, he rolled over on his stomach and began to flex his feet, trying his best to relieve the strain he had put on them. He tried to bend his knee, and winced at the sting it gave him in reply. He continued his efforts, and was eventually able to move his legs with ease. He pushed himself of the bed and yawned. He flexed his arms, and looked over them, checking to see if there was any damage. He poked each arm, and when he was certain they were fine, he began heading into the living area. He knelt this time, and placed his thighs on his lower legs. He took in a deep breath, and exhaled through his nose. He repeated his breathing for several moments, and began his search. He cleared his mind, and listened to his heartbeat, seeing as how the rain had stopped, and searched for the warmth of his djed. He paused momentarily, taking in a long breath, and dove into his self-consciousness. He visualized the warmth in his chest, and imagined the warmth flowing into his left arm. Soon after, he felt the warmth creep through his left shoulder, past his elbow, and down to his fingertips.

He opened his eyes slowly, and sealed the djed in his arms. He thumped the floor, forcing the djed in his fingertips, and winced slightly from the sting that followed. He made sure to keep the djed locked in his arms, and played a small smile when he found a very small dent in his apartment floor. He focused on diminishing the djed in his arm, and flinched at the sucking feeling in his arm as the djed crept away. He stood and walked into his bedroom, and picked up his quill. Dipping it into his ink, he began to write:

'The flux requires energy, and it's taxing results are frightening. I was able to flow my djed, but in return as I stood, I could barely move my legs. When tapping into the warmth known as djed, I begin to sweat, and my breathing gets heavy. I should probably be careful of my limitations.'

He finished up and sat down his quill. Walking back into his living area, he knelt once again, and wiped the sweat from his brow. He had remained shirtless so he wouldn't overheat, but it wasn't even helping. He put his left hand over his heart, and slowed his breathing. He had been working hard, and hadn't even tried his other joints yet. He sighed and continued to clear his mind. He then began to dive into his mind, and searched for the warmth in his chest. He tapped deeper into the warmth, and connected the flow to his right arm. As the warmth crept down his arm, he flinched, and the flow stopped. It went back to his chest, and buried itself.

Notes :
You’ve overgiven! Oh my!

Sei is now numb in his left forearm as a result of using too much Flux magic in one sitting as a Novice. The numbness is not permanent but can only be alleviated through routine physical therapy extending an entire season. Conversely it can be treated instantly by a Mark 3 Healer of Rak'keli as opposed to lesser marks due to the fact that it is nerve damage.

If you have questions or comments regarding your grade PM me at your earliest convenience.
