Ever since she was a youngling, Aka had always felt she was more detached to the Dhani's patron Goddess compared to her siblings, friends, and family. Most of the Dhani in her nest bore the gnosis mark of Siku, The Serpent Queen, while she didn't. It had always been a mystery to her, why? Was it something she did? Was it something her parent's did? She didn't know, but it was clear she was not favored by the Goddess-Queen of Dhanis or at least, not significant enough for Siku to grant her rightful birth mark.

Due to her time spent travelling with Galbern, her mentor, for years, Aka had learn some knowledge about the various Gods and Goddesses of Mizahar. Most notably being Uldr, God of Undead, as Galbern was a Nuit. She also heard about Sylir, Yahal, Priskil, Rhysol and... Ivak. She mused to Galbern once regarding her natural affinity to the element of fire that maybe she was actually a child of Ivak, not Siku. Galbern, being the stoic Nuit he was, merely nodded and said "Sure, Aka".

However, life had taken an interesting turn for the Viper. She was saved by certain death from severe overgiving by the God of Flames himself, his flaming form appeared before her as she lay dying after fatally exerting herself in her temper tantrum. He touched her... his hand brushed against her shoulder and it shook the Viper to her very core, for the moment, she felt as if her cold-blooded body was replaced by lava. Ever since then, she acquired a new strange power, she became immune to the harming property of fire, both from herself and others. A mark of twin swirling flames were permanently emblazoned on her left shoulder blades, evidence of Ivak's fiery touch.

Now, The Dhani in human form found herself sitting alone near the top of an active volcano, the beautiful magma spewing from the bowels of the planet. She didn't know how she got there and she didn't remember either, perhaps it was Ivak's meddling? Perhaps the God wanted to show her where he lived? She didn't find it strange, he said he would be watching her after all. Deciding that Ivak would show himself sooner or later, Aka sat there, wearing her usual simple black dress held by a red sash, her long ebony locks tied into their trademark twintails. Scarlet slitted eyes staring into the horizon.

High in the clouds she flew, so far out to reach the wondrous land of perfect blue that extended well passed the horizon. Durveth soared, with Alori upon her back as she once again showed the teen the beauty of the world from her eyes. It had been seasons since the teen had dreamed about flying, and it was the first dream that she had with Durveth in it.

There was a different feeling now, one that was familiar and caring. Her dreams before had been very different, foreign, magical and beyond her reach. But this felt real, this was real. Alori had become Endal and Durveth her bonded Wind eagle. Looking back on her life so far, a lot had happened, but in it all she found meaning and her purpose in life, a purpose she knew she had all along.

Alori hummed softly as she soared on the back of Durveth. The Wind eagle circling the mountain top as she enjoyed her riders voice. The Wind eagle must have been a child of Rhaus because she loved music and always wanted Alori to sing for her, even when they hunted together. But this time, the teen only hummed, and Durveth wanted more than just that.

You're not singing my little wind chime

Wait..What did you call me?

She realized that they had made a deal upon bonding but to call the girl a wind chime was just being rude and selfish. It was a big surprise, even coming from the strange bird. She had never called her that before, although Alori suspected she thought of her that way.

You're not singing...sing.

Well maybe I don't feel like it now. What? You gonna dump me off again?

...

I might..

Hah, let me help you.

Alori smiled then, a mischievous grin rising upon her lips as she simply let go and fell off the Wind eagle. The young Endal fell and she fell, fiery hair rippling as her Bryda billowed wildly in the winds. It wasn't like the first time on that fateful day when Durveth swooped down and picked her up from the mountain side and dropped her well after she had ascended thousands of feet above ground. This was freedom, this was life completely fearless. Besides they had bonded now and Alori knew in her heart that Durveth would catch her.

The teen screamed happily, her body limp and going with the breeze as the winds pushed her left, further from the flowing oceans miles below and closer to the opening of the mouth in the volcano. Durveth had altered her course ticks ago when she felt the tiny bump leave her back. She was now on target, her wings bent slightly and tail flat to allow her to dive faster. Tick by tick she came closer to the falling girl who's face was all smiles and giggles. Ducking below, the wind eagle angled herself, wings spreading out to slow her descent as she leveled off directly under Alori.

She had been having far too much fun to notice, and she might have been too high to see it either way, but Durveth had noticed it.

Alori..there's something down there. On the volcano.

The snake was getting bored, nothing interesting happened for a while... it seemed Ivak was too busy to see her. She could understand though. Ivak himself said he had many flames, people marked by him similar to her, visiting each one of them would be a tedious job even for a Divine... at least that was she thought. Her eyes felt heavy, she was sleepy... maybe a bell or two would be good to clear her mind.

Sleep didn't came to her though, not when she spotted a... bird, an eagle. High up in the sky, in normal circumstances, she would not regard the avian and continued her plan to sleep, but this eagle... was a giant. Enormous, like that giant white bird she saw in the Jungle, but this one looked normal aside from its size, not glowing like the white bird.

Fear began creeping up to her, her near-death encounter with the Ta'rukahl didn't bode well for her opinion on giant winged flying creatures. Aka flinched and quickly shifted to a standing position, she wanted to run, run away like last time. Her feet started to flex as she prepared herself to swiftly retreat, but she stopped. No longer, it was time she faced her fears, if she kept running, nothing would turn for the better. God of Flames... please keep me safe... Giving a short prayer, she stood her ground as the eagle approached. She still hoped it would just flew pass her, but if it decided to attack, the Viper would bite back.

It was getting closer, closer... and then a humanoid shape fell from its back.

"Hnn... eh? EEEEEEH?!!!" She couldn't contain her shock, the giant bird was kidnapping someone! In her eyes, whoever was on its back was trying to escape it but the bird didn't allow it and caught its captive again. Squinting her eyes, she could deduce by the hair that the victim was a female. She must rescue her! How dare this giant monstrosity of a bird toy with smaller beings? She had enough, all giant birds were the same. She would shoot it down from the sky! Aka was so caught up in her anger that she didn't realize the bird was the only thing keeping the female from plummeting down to the hard, unforgiving, ground.

Flexing her right finger, dense concentration of res began forming at the tip of her index and middle finger, she then pointed to the sky, at the bird. Crackle of electricty lashed from the res. Holding her right arm with her left hand to keep it steady. At this distance, the element with the highest possibility of landing a strike was lightning. Aka took a stance as she unleashed her shocking strike.

*BOOOM!!!*

A flash of light accompanied by the loud rumbling of a thunder. A bolt of lightning launched from her fingers and sang through the air, very rapidly approaching the giant bird.

Aka hoped it would hit, then she would... she would... "OH SSSHYKE!!" She finally realized it, if the bird was killed, there was nothing she could do to save the woman from turning into a blood splatter on the ground. "No no... please! Pleassse don't hit!" Pulling at her hair as she cursed her own reckless action, she prayed inside her mind, hoping the bird would be agile enough to dodge a lightning bolt or her aim was off so it would miss.

"What? Something what? What is it?" she said aloud.

Alori peeked out over the neck of feathers and looked towards the volcano. It was what appeared to be a young woman with pale skin and long flowing dark hair. It was only in a dream that the Endal could have seen that far without the aid of Durveth's sight to show her. The teen didn't speak at first as the eagle turned swiftly to circle down lower.

"You mean the girl? What about her?"

I don't like her, there's something wrong here..

The Wind eagle's words were cut short as the lightening struck towards them and she turned away to avoid it. Alori squealed as she was spun around and around as Durveth pulled away from the volcano. The Wind eagle was into acrobatics and this was just what she needed to show them off. Durveth pulled in her wings again, allowing her body to fall fast into the opening beside the mountain. The tiny girl on her back wasn't exactly thrilled and Alori, half blinded now by the light squealed again as she held on tightly.

"What was that? What's going on?"

Reicmany, hold on I'm taking her..

"Wait, what?"

Alori tried to hold on while looking over and onto the world below. But the eagle was moving so fast it was hard for her to see anything at the moment. Durveth darted towards the cannon, then quickly pushed her wings out and angling her tail to allow her to float just over head. She saw the tiny, dark haired woman only paces away and with a loud screech she opened her claws to snatch her up.

She missed, she actually missed! Usually, Aka would grumble and curse but she was extremely relieved in this particular case. The Viper patted her flat chest in relief as her eyes saw the bird quickly veered off from the bolt's path. She had to admit, it was fast and agile for its size. Usually, the bigger they were, the slower they would be. It didn't hold true for the eagle.

She got another matter at hand though, she still had to rescue the kidnapped woman, Aka didn't realize she blown her position and all hope of a good first impression by her little lightning show just now.

Her slits became even narrower as panic gripped her mind like a vice, the eagle quickly descended, very obviously heading for her. Oh no, she was going to be bird food "N-no! Noooooooo!" The snake, driven by instinctive fear of giant avians, immediately flexed her legs and ran away from her position; but it was futile, as inherently fast as she was, it paled in comparison to the eagle's flying speed.

"A-..." She could feel her body suddenly became light and took off from the ground. It took her a few ticks to realize she was being "kidnapped" by the eagle. "Aaaaaaaaaaagh! N-no! No!" Aka thrashed around in the eagle's grasp, running a risk of cutting herself by the bird's talons.

Azenths could feel the presence of one another and Aka should know the woman riding the eagle was a fellow flame of Ivak, if only she was not so drowned in fear. Her first solution to get out of this petched up situation was to burn the bird. Easy enough, she was immune to fire while the bird was most likely not, she could throw a fireball or torch it with her fire breath... then what? At that moment, the snake became lost. She could kill the bird, yes, also killing herself and the woman with it. Both of them couldn't fly, that was for sure.

"L-let me go! Let me go you foul beassst! You want to eat me and the woman too?!" Finding no other solution, Aka could only thrash around and shout futile attemps at intimidation to the bird, hoping it would realize its foul deeds and put them both down. The possibility of that happening was equal to a Myrian being cuddly with a Dhani, in other words, utterly impossible; but she didn't realize that obviously.

It happened fast and before Alori knew what happened, Durveth had swooped down and snatched the girl up.

The world around them spun as the wind eagle took off into the skies again, and the dark haired stranger had disappeared somewhere under the massive bird's feathers. Durveth soared higher, circling the crater in the mountain and getting closer and closer to the volcano with each turn.

Durveth, what did you do? Did you pick up that girl?

I'm going to teach her a lesson. Hold on.

Teach her a lesson? What are you planning?

The wind eagle didn't respond and instead sent Alori a flash of visions of what she saw below. The image of the mountain came to mind and the teen could see how close they were to the mouth of the volcano. It was only a quick flash, but in that instant, the young Endal knew exactly what Durveth was planning.

No don't. Durveth you can't keep killing people. It's not right!

Her words fell on death ears and the wind eagle didn't bother to respond as she circled lower. Once she made a final loop around the top of the fiery mouth, Durveth opened her claws and dropped the girl. Alori screamed, but the wind eagle quickly spun off to the right, flapping her wings as she leveled out just in case Alori had any ideas about jumping again.

"Durveth! Stop this, please!"

The wind eagle still didn't answer as she soared through the sky. She started to circled again before shifting into a hard dive towards the mouth of the volcano. Alori saw now what Durveth was up too and it made her panic less. The teen held on tightly, her fiery hair like fire blowing about in the winds as they descended upon the fall girl. Just before she would fall into the lava pit, Durveth plucked her up and flew away and down the side of the mountain.

She pulled in her wings again, barreling down the side of the rocky surface until she reached the lower end. Durveth thrust her wings outward to soar across the landing where she dropped the dark hair girl in the first bush she passed. Alori was shocked at the eagle's display and this was the kind of thing that worried her when others met the djed crazed wind eagle.

Once the eagle landed, Alori slid down it's back and took a few steps closer to the bush where the girl had been dropped. She didn't move too close, even if Durveth had acted rashly, the girl had shot lightening at them, something that the teen wasn't prepared to handle.

"Hey! What's your problem?"

"Aaaah! Mppph! Ha-Mpppph!" She couldn't keep her screams, not when the winds rushed so fast, battering her body with waves of rushing air. The Viper thrashed around as her fear reached its limit, her stomach started convulsing due to the dizziness, snakes weren't meant to fly. Her eyes would be swirling if that was actually possible.

"Ga.. uhuk!" She started to lose consciousness, barely aware of anything going on around her. "H-help..." She shouldn't have acted all gung-ho and recklessly shoot her lightning. Perhaps the bird would leave her alone and eat that woman instead, but no, she just had to be the good guy. Good guy finished last. She felt the temperature getting hotter and hotter, she didn't know why; but she didn't worry about it, confident Ivak's blessing would keep her safe from...

The Volcano?! Her eyes shot open as they got nearer to the mouth of the flaming mountain. She was immune to fire, but Aka had immense doubt she could withstand lava, especially if she was dropped there. The degree of heat was entirely on a different level, she would merge with the fiery liquid, never to be seen again. "N-no! Pleaaassse! N-nooooooooo! NOOOOOOOOOO!" Aka closed her eyes shut and screamed with all her might despite all the stutters and coughs.

"Ah..."

Time seemed to slow down as she felt her small body being released from the bird's grip. The blue sky beautifully spread above as she saw the figure of the great bird passing over her. The figure was getting smaller and smaller, not because it was flying higher, but because she was falling down. "A-... a..." There was only one thing she could do, screamed with all her might, a final defiant call against the cruel Miss Gravity.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"

She would die unless Ivak decided to show up and save her again. The cruel petching bird, that overgrown flying chicken deserved to be roasted while it was still alive! It went around kidnapping people. But it seemed, fate took pity on her today...

"Hi?!!" A high-pitched surprised gasp escaped her lips as she felt the familiar feel of the bird's huge talons wrapping around her lithe frame. The second flying trip was cut short when she was dropped again, but far more gently and safer compared to the last one. Her fall was softened by the bush, but it was still hard nonetheless. She tried to further mitigate it by twisting her body and landed in a rolling motion. At least her small weight and acrobatic instincts prevented her from breaking her bones in a fatal way.

The Viper scrapped along the ground, bruises and scratches formed on her pale skin, her loose black dress was ruined and tore up. It was tearing here and there. "Uhuk... *Cough* Ahak! *Cough* He... *Wheeze!*" She tried to catch her breath, but it sure was painful. Aka was laying on a prone position, a blood trail falling from her forehead to her right eye. She propped herself up with her left elbow, while her right hand held her head.

"Hey! What's your problem?"

The voice, it sounded female. Most likely the girl's, Aka's vision was blurring but she got the image of the girl dismounting the petching avian and approached her. Aka wasn't sure who the question was directed to, but if it was her, then this girl was one Ivak-damned bitch. She tried to rescue her and yet... "What the..." something clicked inside her mind. If the eagle was kidnapping the girl, why would it let this red-haired woman to dismount it so easily? So many unexplained things, she would have to do with what she knew.

"I... *wheeze* tried to rescue you! *Cough* T-that bird!!!" She pointed sharply to the eagle with her right index finger "...was trying to eat you!! T-then *Cough* it tried to drop me into l-lava!! G-gaaaah!" Pain shot throughout her body, Aka clenched her chest and curled up like a newborn babe.

"G-guh..." Getting one more look on the girl, the Viper suddenly feel the flaming mark on her back flared. She felt comforting warm sensation on her left shoulder blade, it was also coming from the woman. "W-wha...?" Somehow, the knowledge of the red-haired girl being an Azenth as well came to her. Was it really true? Then as a fellow Azenth, she should be grateful for Aka trying to rescue her.

"A-are you God Ivak's flame as well? *Cough*!"

If she had stopped, stopped and really thought about it, Alori would have realized that she was dreaming. Nothing that was happening made much sense and deep down she knew it. She had never met anyone crazy enough to attack a Wind eagle, or sit that close to the volcano without passing out from the heat. The teen Endal also didn't think about that Durveth had changed also. The wind eagle was apparently one of the more testy of her breed, and if attacked, even by a small girl, she wasn't likely to react so kindly.

"Hey in there. Are you ok? Can you st...wow!"

Alori took a step back when the mystery girl shouted and pointed an accusing finger at Durveth. It was easy for her to forget, and even more since she had started to experience it herself, now that she was bonded to an eagle. But foreigners were usually surprised to see the grant guardians of the mountains and didn't understand the relationship they had with the people called Inartans. It seemed that this girl thought that the giant bird was trying to kidnap her and that was why she attacked...with lightening.

"Hey, hey! Calm down, you're going to pass out if you don't catch your breath!"

Durveth on the other hand, was amused by the stranger, and she started to cluck loudly. This was also...new. The wind eagle's clucking was always bizarre, but never did it quack like thunder. But this too was ignored since Alori was more interesting in the stranger at the moment. Durveth clucked more, those large penetrating, eagle eyes watching Aka's every move without blinking. Alori took another step forward to check on the girl when she asked a very surprising question.

"I-Ivak? Well....yea. I mean, I guess so. Why?" here was something really odd about this girl, and she noticed that she said God Ivak, instead of Ivak, giving her the impression that she worshiped him. "What does Ivak have to do with this? Who are you and where did you come from?"

The Viper was far too naive and impulsive that she didn't realize the various reality-bending events that happened so far. How she could sit so near to a volcano and falling to the ground in such a high speed with far less injuries that it would normally. Even with her acrobatic talents and small weight, she ran the risk of breaking her neck or spine, instantly killing her. Aka hissed again in pain as her body was struck with shocking amount of pain, she put a hand to her mouth and found out blood was trickling from there as well.

The accursed giant bird was still watching, she could silently shoot a lava spearhead and aim it at the bird's head... roasting its brain to goo, but the girl wouldn't like that. The bird was like her pet or something... Aka made a 'tch!' sound and curled back up, focusing on dampening the pain. Great, now the girl was trying to help her, she should be the saviour for Ivak's sake. Then again, why would she save someone from riding their pet? By now, Aka realized how foolish she had been.

"....I-it's fine... *Cough* I'm fin-..fine!" She was clearly not fine, but the Dhani pride in her refused for her to be on the mercy of a human. Mamoru was different, he was another Dhani and a strong one to boot, this red-haired girl was almost as short as she was and most likely not a Dhani. Her vision was blurring, the girl was right, her barely-there consciousness shook further as the bird clucked with its deafening sound, almost like the boom of lightning she shot earlier.

Gasping for breath to calm herself down, Aka listened to the woman's stuttered words. She admitted she was a flame of Ivak as well, wonderful, at last she found a comrade. "I... I ssssee..." The woman's question perplexed her, Aka herself wasn't sure on how to answer, she just spurted out of surprise at her instinct telling her this girl was an Azenth.

"Y-you sssee... I have..." Aka groaned in pain as she struggled to sit, she showed her left shoulder blade to the red-haired girl. "God Ivak marked me." The twinning flame gnosis embossed on her pale skin in the hue of fiery reddish color. "W-well, I sssense you are an Azenth as well, g-girl... *Cough* ssso, it isss true. May I sssee your mark, sssis-," Oh Gods, why it was so hard for her to say it? Did admitting the human woman her kin that hard? Aka swallowed her pride and continued "-ter?"

"Me?" Aka didn't have any qualms about telling her who she was because this girl who was just a few inches taller than her was a fellow agent of Ivak. The Dhani coughed a few times, wiping the blood from her mouth and forehead. "I'm Soshakuakamamushi, if it'sss too long, you can call me Aka." Even wounded and in the mercy of a giant bird, she still had her Dhani pride, let's see the girl try to speak her full name.

"I was born in Eyktol Desssert, sissster." She didn't need to tell her about how she got 'enslaved' by a Constrictor, at least not yet. "Though I live in Zinrah now. God Ivak approached me in the Jungles after I..." Should she tell her? She supposed she would. "kinda burned it down..." Not the whole jungle, but the girl didn't need all the details. "He marked me back then."

She was curious about the girl as well, who was she? Where did she come from? And why in the name of flames did she ride a giant bird?! "Uhm... Sissster, it'sss my turn now. Who are you? I want to know your name alssso..." She glanced at the overgrown avian, snarling lowly, before glancing back at the red-haired teen. "What isss that giant bird?!"

She's still hissing. What's wrong with her speech?

Alori hadn't ever met a dhani and knew little about them, however she knew exactly what her people thought of them and what had been said in the past, even written down in records. They were evil, vile, deceptive snakes and were never to be trusted. Snakes were also an enemy to birds, which her people loved and cherished. Of course a normal snake couldn't pose harm to a wind eagle, but a giant snake might and that is what dhani were after all.

The strange girl answered, sort of, and said that she had been marked by Ivak for reasons she didn't finish. Alori didn't push her on the subject, she too felt the need to keep her story secret and if she honestly couldn't say anything unless she wanted to put them both in danger. Still this was only the second person she had met that had Ivak's blessing and the teen wondered what that could mean.

"So..what's wrong with your voice?"

Inartans weren't known for tact or politeness, and while Alori was a gentle type girl, even she had her moments. There was something serpent like about the girl, but if anything it just seemed odd. She wouldn't have thought it possible that she was a dhani until she heard the woman's name. The name was a red flag, and as she spoke of her home lands Eyktol and Zinrah, Alori started to step backwards.

The places she spoke of were so far away, and no one she knew ever spoke about them, or what was there. There was a sick feeling rising in the teens stomach and she scurried back further into the wings of the eagle. Durveth could sense Alori's uneasiness and it made her angry. The giant bird shield the tiny Inartan with her wing and leaned closer to Aka as she squawked loudly at her.

"Back away !!"
