Summer, AV 510
'...That will teach him! The little bastard...' Skaii could hear faint voices as he began to come to. He opened his eyes to see who or what it was yet his vision was blurred. He tried to move yet, the muscles all along his body ached from head to toe. He tried to say something but, nothing could escape his lips. How had he gotten in to this situation?
Twenty minutes ago...
It was roughly around the eleventh bell and the market area had been thriving with livelyness. The scent of fresh and well baked food drew in all sorts of people around the booths however, this also drew in the unwanted. One particular unwanted went by the name of Skaii Kelarin, waiting, lurking in the shadows for a chance to steal some of the precious food.
The delicious aroma of baked bread from a nearby booth was beginning to make him feel extremely dizzy. An old lady was manning the store, it would be an easy victory for the young thief. As soon as the the old bag had turned her attention toward a customer the boys hand would shoot up and snatch the large loaf of bread in the course of about half a second. With a wide grin across his features and the smell of victory at hand he prepared to launch himself back in to the shadows from which he came only to crash in to another boy.
Skaii stared bluntly at the boy, dazed from the impact. He looked roughly around his age and looked just as shocked as Skaii did. 'Th-th-th-THIEF!!!' The boy cried as Skaii stood up, stumbled and darted toward a dark alleyway. His mind swirled and he felt sick with fear as he paced through the narrow street. Today was an unlucky day for the young thief however, it just so happened that security was particularly tight today and so Skaii found himself running straight in to an armoured fist.
The guardsmen had left the boy a bloody pulp within the alley, threatening him with death if ever he was caught stealing again. Writhing in pain the young thief curled up in to a ball and cursed his damned luck.
