[Bronze Wood] Foraging Gone Wrong (Noaru)

Nilika watched as the stick flew through the sky and hit the ground. A giggle forced it's way through her lips. Ever since she came to Syliras, she hasn't been herself. She's been laughing a lot more and meeting new people. She looked towards the ghost and waited for his reply.

Noaru? That was an unusual name. Nilika looked up at the sky. It was late into the afternoon and getting dark as time passed on. This was not her plan to stay so late out. She breathed out a sigh, this was getting exhausting. Her leg ached from the pain in her knee. The blood had dried up and made her skin look paler. "Nilika," she smiled.

“ The veil of night is almost upon us.”

Noaru could see the blood on Nilika’s knee and night was rapidly approaching. The blood may draw in a predator or some untold forest beast. Noaru knew that his time was up with the young konti, Nilika. The spirit turned his back towards the shadows, allowing his body to fade into the seemingly endless night. He speaks one last time before disappearing to the worlds unknown.

“ Until fate unites us again, farewell Nilika.”

Noaru disappears into the trees; he was allowed to meet another interesting soul under the sun’s grace. Noaru would now wander the night, observing and seeking out what secret things the world held.

Nilika watched as Noaru disappeared. It was really getting late. Picking herself up,she limped threw the dense forest. Every so often she thought back to the sentence he said. She grinned, Syliras was a really interesting place to live. She met a ton of new people. Her knee ached as she limped.

After 10 chimes of walking she finally came across the Gate. Slowly but surely she made her way through them. After a hard battle up the steps, she was able to lay down in her bed. She really needed to stop going into the woods.

Noaru Notes
Try to stay in the past tense if you can. Switching between present and past can get a little confusing and messes up the flow. I really enjoy the way that Noaru observes the world, constantly questioning everything.
