The Yasi wasn't sure if she was eager or apprehensive about spending another day in the kitchens. She had enjoyed the work the previous day that was for sure but she had also really felt it. Her arms ached from all the chopping and kneading, her legs were sore from standing all day and she had pains in her back as well from goodness knew what. She had enjoyed the experience overall she thought although she wasn't completely sure.

Arriving early in the kitchens once more, she found the place bustling with activity all ready though there actually seemed to be less people about than yesterday. There was no sign of that chef from yesterday but the girl wasn't going to stand by idly and wait for the woman to put in an appearance. Instead she took the initiative and began to wander around looking for something to do, scanning the different work stations for an interesting task that she could help someone with.

She found one woman chopping a mountain of vegetables and decided to avoid her. She'd had enough vegetable chopping yesterday and so wasn't eager to try that particular task again. The youth moved on, hoping to find some new way to occupy herself. There must have been tons of jobs for a Yasi to do, loads of tasks she had not yet encountered.

There were a number of pots lined up on hot plates against the wall. The heat coming from that area was immense, warmth seeming to seep through the walls and into the kitchen. A number of men and women stood by these, apparently getting the pots ready for some meal to be prepared. There were implements close at hand and piles of meat that they had begun to throw in as she watched. Azira had no idea what they were making, probably some sort of soup but she walked over to them anyway to investigate.

A man glanced up as she appeared at his side, standing on tip toes to gaze into the high pot. He loose her up and down, obviously realising why she was there and stepped aside so she could get a better look. There was meat sizzling in the bottom. Sniffing, she decided that it was rabbit but she couldn't understand why there was such a big pot for such a small amount of meat.

"I'm making rabbit stew," the man told her. "I have to fry the meat first, let all the juices out of it, the flavours, before I put the onions in. You can help me if you go and wash your hands first," he informed her as he stirred the meat around with a wooden spatula to stop it from sticking to the bottom. The Yasi ran off eagerly, dying to get started as soon as possible
