As one of Ionu's creatures, I'm a bit unpredictable when it comes to actually posting, but this season I have a few goals in mind. I've finally settled on a concept for Viz, the Wilderwizard. He's not quite 100% finished, but I have good ideas for all the pieces to settle into place.
I'm not quite ready to say that things will be smooth for me. I'm not used to the fast pace of my life now, unlike the oodles of free time I had a full year ago, so I rarely have the energy and the motivation to actually post. Without a keyboard in front of me, I usually end up just thinking about what I want to post about, and keep doing so once I sit in front of the computer. It's a never-ending cycle that results in me making tons of character concepts that never see Syna's light.
My long term goal for Viz is fairly simple, but far out there enough that I don't need to think about it or take it into consideration. I can let the writing take me where it wishes, unlike prior concepts. I also have a lot of room to write, given how unforgiving the wilderness is and how interesting pushing oneself and studying creatures can be.
So if you want to hire Viz as a wilderguide, or just to teach you about stuff once I'm done flashbacking a lot of his lores, just throw me a PM. Alvadas' stance on morphing however dictates that he will insist his magic is in fact entirely explainable as illusions or other shenanigans.
I'm also writing up a gnosis story for Audius! -Trumpets sound in the distance, triggering an avalanche that kills an entire village of Pycon- Although not a typical bard, Vizayas doesn't like fate and seeks to make his own path in life which probably fits the bill as far as Rhaus is concerned. Let me tell you, it's an uphill struggle! His future plots revolve around this, and the implications and issues he has with gods will be a common topic for him.
He may see illusions as a possible way to trick fate, but we will have to wait and see where he goes with Ionu. You can only start with two lores after all, and I need to figure out if certain lores are necessary for Vizayas' beliefs to make sense ICly from the get-go, and also for his Gnosis story. Of course, fighting 'fate' is a bit of a paradox in itself, as you are or were merely 'fated' to do whatever it is you are going to do or did. You can still try though, I guess.
I'm glad Fable is helping out. I definitely like that Alvadas, one of my favorite cities, is seeing some love. I don't know how long Vizayas will stay, as he must depart eventually, but I'm hoping it will be for at least a few seasons. My plans for him end up with him in Taldera for something magical there, but I'd rather not talk about that until I'm closer to achieving Vizayas' goals.
For those wishing to pronounce his name, it's Vih-Zy-Iss
