Time stamp: 22th of Winter 513 AV
The squire dorms were busy and loud as it normally was around this time of morning. Squires and others, Knights included, moved through the halls and conversed in the rooms that connected all the dorms. It was rarely quiet here, and only around the change just before dawn and dusk did people find complete silence. After a while, anyone living in the building would have gotten used to the constant noise and found a way to tune it all out.
Ryia hadn't learned this just yet, and often found it hard to sleep unless she was really tired. Luckily that was the case many times before she went to bed. Helena kept her squires busy, and even if it was just a simple workout of jogging to get use to running in the heavy armor, it was done daily. This tiredness and ware was the only thing that allowed her to finally pass out when the clanking of armor and voices in the halls wouldn't stop.
Sitting in her room atop her bed, a simple white Chemise graced her body. Bare arms and legs were exposed, and the bruises that she had gotten from training were easy to see on her pale skin. The young squire sat with her legs crossed with a bowl in her lap. In front of her, setting inside three small bags were one egg, flour, and a piece of soft cheese. Ryia wasn't much of a Spiritist, and her Soulmist was laughable, but practice was what she needed and another attempt she would make. Green eyes glanced over to the other bed where Dimia was sleeping, and she smiled as she turned back to her bowl.
Ryia would have another half a bell before they would have to get dressed and meet Helena. That was the purpose of her rising early so that she could attempt another batch of soulmist. When she was ready, the teenager took the egg and cracked it on the side of the bowl, before opening the two halves and pouring the contents into the bowl.
Discarding the shells, she added the flour into the bowl, but only a small bit from the tiny sack. She heard a bark then, followed by a whimper from the dog seated at the side of her bed. "No Aveline, this isn't for you. You wouldn't like it anyway."
