Dra Kalinor
There was so much that needed to be done, her foot was in the door now. Sahana had found herself up to her neck in expectations, these responsibilities were milked to there fullest potential taking as much as she possibly could be given in order to proceed into the fabrication process. What she needed was the right tools for the job, charge hammers of varying size. Her selection off the wall was one of medium size, followed by three progressively smaller hammers the smallest for delicate corrective procedures and for fine tuning. As a Mage Crafter the isur saw the potential in the essence of things, naturally the craft was more of an art blending and shaping these into the structure of any given item. Those were always the terms that dictated success or failure of a project. It was a rudimentary science, much like mixing a drink. One shot of the wrong liquor could ruin the drink, while of course the right measurements of the right alcoholic elements made something fantastic. The Isur viewed herself as something of a mixologist of essences while the two disciplines were radically different they were in principal alone very much the same. A knight had given her a commission, a long sword. There was an inherit request that could become a problem, this person wanted a sword that glowed like a lantern in the dark. There were many ways to go about this but what she sought was a glowing crystal, something from the cavernous reaches. And while it was expensive it was the most cost effective. An item with one property that was behavioral, and yet it would still cost a small fortune. But first things first, Sahana needed to apply a brush to paint. It was a costly reagent required to form the mage craft circle. The metallic paint in and of itself was horribly expensive being a derivative of mage wire, it acted as a pathway to funnel the essence into a focal point. As the brush stroked across the table, she made one large circle where the sword would be placed and one smaller one where the crystal would be placed then one line to connect the two circles together. As she placed the long sword and crystal in there places she felt enough had been done for the evening. She would continue where she left off during the next day. |
