Dancing with the Diseased

He did realize he was a victim, and it was so very interesting. It was different from how he did things. Or was it? He lured women in as well, didn't he? No, they came willingly at first. They came and purchased him, and from that point on it was his job to make sure their coin was coin that was well spent. Sometimes he tried to lure in a customer from the streets, but he had long since learned that it wasn't the most effective way of getting business. It gave the wrong impression, or at least he felt it did. He had long since graduated from being a street whore, and he was thankful that those dark days were over. He had reached a more noble place in his profession, if one could call it that, and he took some level of pride in the fact. When it came to the woman, she obviously was no street whore either, and didn't sell the same product he sold. She sold the idea of what she could do for a man. She sold them fantasies, and aided those fantasies with the movements of her body. It was a good concept. Matthew's game was hard to read because of the fact that it was so painfully simple. He wasn't the sort to try to lure a woman into bed for personal interest, or manipulate a woman for personal amusement. He was simply curious.

Matthew himself sometimes used the tactics she did. Putting thoughts and images into a head put them under a certain sort of control. she was likely familar with how men would hang onto her every word, silently begging her just to say a bit more. She could make them hungry for her, and then she could feed them bit by bit so they were never fully sated. They would just keep coming back for more. That was the danger of Matthew's profession, perhaps. Eventually, their hunger would be sated if they simply coughed up enough coin. Matthew could hold back, give them a good time instead of a great time... but he still had to make sure it was worth their while. It was a fine line to walk. She seemed to have a good amount of control over what she enticed them with, and what she actually gave. It was so very interesting.

And people thought seduction was a mindless skill. The harlot personally thought that the people he had met who practiced seduction were more cunning that most, Caela included.

"I'm a gentleman. Giving up without a fight doesn't make it any fun for you, does it? I feel like Sunberth is filled with men who are much too easy, anyways. Though I understand why they would be." A pointed and admiring glance was thrown at her legs, Matthew still quite aware they were longer than most. He wondered if it was natural, or if dancing somehow increased the length of your legs. No, that was silly. He slowly stood, unfolding himself and straightening to his full height, running a single hand through his styled hair. His other hand held out to the woman, offering to help her up, a small grin still teasing at the edge of his lips as he stared down through her lashes. "But, yes, absolutely sure. Even if I wasn't sure, I doubt I could resist." There was still some tactical measure to each of the words spoken. The last sentence hinted that she still had control, which she did. He wasn't one to try and completely dominate a situation. He just wanted her to be aware, and was also curious if she picked up on social clues like that. If she looked for them, even.

A rare individual would sometimes grace an establishment like the Pig's Foot Tavern, an individual who would not be simply satisfied by a few seductive words and movements. There would be the odd person who preferred a game of subtlety to the one that Caela was used to playing. That didn't mean that the dancer had failed to pick up the necessary tricks to play with such individuals but Matthew was an even rarer sort than normal. They were already dancing in a sense, each seeking to test the other and draw them closer. His use of words, of meaningful looks, of body language, all suggested that he was one who was used to playing this game. The man had practice and it made her wonder what line of work he was in. If she had to guess, she'd say that she was selling something. A concept perhaps rather than a physical thing but she was sure that he sold something even if she couldn't pinpoint what it was exactly.

His comment on being a gentleman made the corner of her mouth quirk up in amusement. He certainly was a gentleman, provided you didn't look to deeply. He was polite yes, seemingly untoward as well but underneath it all, his intentions weren't pure. His suggestions were double entendres, one side seemingly innocent, the other highly sexual. Yes, if he had his chance, Caela was sure that he'd be anything but a gentleman. Although she could be wrong and secretly, she hoped that she was because she really wanted him to be.

His comment on her not having fun with an easy submission made her eyes widen in innocent surprise, curious and slightly puzzled gaze turned on him as if she wasn't sure what he was talking about. She didn't have to feign a blush when his gaze moved to admire her legs again, his words complimentary. The young woman managed a shy smile, her gaze dropping from his but she watched him through her lashes, wondering what he'd do next.

An extended hand was the answer and it made her bite her lip in hesitation. She was wondering if she was being led into some sly trap and didn't know it, her acceptance of that hand, this dance perhaps part of some scheme to have his way with her. Her eyes flickered up to his in a moment of unveiled shock before dropping back to his hands as she realised that she didn't care if that was the case. Nervousness taking over her usually confident demeanour, she took his hand with some apprehension and rose gracefully to her feet. The uncertainty was probably obvious in her eyes before she broke her hold and drifted to the bar, voice lowered in a quick whisper as she explained the situation to her employer. They looked as one to scrutinise the man but the dancer quickly looked back to Merv again, head tilted slightly as she waited for some sort of verdict. His answering nod was almost imperceptible but she'd caught it and she returned to Matthew's side with an anxious look in her eyes.

"I don't really know how to start this with somebody else so... would you like to lead until I get into the swing of things?" she asked softly, chewing her lip.

His hand was soft to the touch, noticeably well cared for if she paid attention to those sorts of details. His nails were clean and kept filed, in line with the rest of his clean appearance. The effort that he put into looking his best extended to even the smallest of details. He felt it was both the best thing to do for his job, and it actually relaxed him a little bit. Caela seemed the sort of woman to appreciate looking as good as she could, but he wasn't sure if it was because of her job or her own personal preference. If he got an idea of it, maybe it would be a good exercise to invite her to the Hot Springs for a bath and pampering. He'd have to about it carefully. He had learned over the years that women found it hard to believe he was actually in it for just the bath and the sharing of cosmetic knowledge.

Watching her as she went to get permission from Merv, he quickly thought over how he would like to do this. Was it possible to use his skill in Seduction to help her seduce the eyes of her audience? Could he channel his seduction knowledge through her in order to make her even more appealing than she already was? Chewing on his lower lip, he studied the girl until she finished her business with Merv and then came back to him. At her words, he quickly shook his head, taking her hand again and slowly backing them out into the front of the tavern. He spoke softly, moving his lips just barely, the words only for her. "Don't worry. They don't know any more about it than we do. They won't even care about anything but you, if I get this right." He gave her only a moment to process his words before he tucked her into a sudden spin, pulling her close, that technique practically the only dance technique he knew. As long as she fell into it naturally, she would come to him, curves pressing intimately to his muscle as they pressed together.

He lived what he preached, moving confidently and acting confidently. Even if he was a novice at what he was about to do, he made sure not to let on. He handled her with confidence in his touch, hands dropping to her hips as his own hips swayed back and forth. A few musical instruments lit up in a quick beat as other employees noticed Caela dancing, not so sure what to make of Matthew, but knowing that music helped with her performance. "If at any point my hands become a violation, please give me a stern look." Another flash of the gentleman in him, if she wanted to think about it that way. Matthew had long since learned a respect for another's body, both through his time as a medical practitioner, and through his time as a harlot. So far though, his hands were just firm on her hips, helping guide them until the more experienced dancer found the beat.

His game soon became clear. One of his hands had slowly tugged at her clothing, drawing it up her hip teasingly slow as they moved in a circle. Where the audience was once a bit turned off by the inclusion of a male in their show, now suddenly they were much more interested. The backside of her thigh was being shown off, only one, the dress almost inappropriately high on one side. Hunger sparked in their eyes, jealousy sparked, and their attention suddenly shifted. Matthew smiled just a tad, satisfied. He could do this, and if she caught onto his game and also enjoyed the attention, then she could easily capitalize and make it worse for the poor men starting to stare.

OOCSo sorry for the delay

When she danced, the woman was normally in her element, a confident and seductive force but Matthew had reduced her to a near nervous wreck before she even got to dance. She was nervous going into the dance, more nervous than normal and the slight trembling of her limbs made her sure that when she tried to dance that she would collapse without support. When she returned to his side once more, she had little chance for second thoughts. His soft hand had grasped hers in an instant, a gentle but firm pull leading her out into an open space for the inspection of her audience.

Despite alluding to her being in control of the situation, Caela felt helpless at his touch and under his gaze. She was prepared to give him complete and utter control because she had no idea what to do with herself while in his presence. The dancer couldn't help but allow him to sweep her away, a victim of his irresistible charm. His words of reassurance had only moments to provide some comfort before she was dragged into a spin, one that her body naturally followed after a moment's pause. Matthew's hands guided her in close to his body, a position that created a greater intimacy between the pair of them as her body was pressed against hers. He didn't hold her to him possessively but it could certainly be construed as such by their audience who were sure to feel envious of their close contact.

His hands fell to her hips, his body moving into a simple swaying to the music that had started up out of nowhere. His movements were simple, those of a beginner really but he wasn't doing anything to bring his inexperience to the attention of others. Regardless of his inexperience he was doing a fairly good job not looking like an idiot beside her, mainly because his moves were confident despite their basic nature.

His hands on her hips made her question her actions. He could so easily humiliate her, or leave her feeling violated by the means of pulling her towards him, thrusting himself upon her. As if reading her thoughts, he offered her a means of escape from an unwelcome touch and she felt at ease once more. He really seemed too good to be true though she hasn't found a fault with him, at least not yet.

To further increase their level of intimacy, the dancer placed her arms around her neck to hold him in a seemingly tight embrace. It was harder to steer him that way but she assumed that he'd be able to follow the movements of her hips seeing as Matthew was sure to be aware of the slightest twitch in that area. If she moved backwards or to the side then he could probably follow her movements easily enough but forwards and she might easily lose him and end up crashing into him instead. That would certainly work against them. She'd give him a chance to get used to her movements before attempting anything too elaborate.

Moving herself into a clockwise spin, she brought her partner with her, bringing them closer to some of the jealous patrons. A draught reached her thigh as they moved and the lack of fabric brushing against the skin clued her in to what he was up to. The woman hadn't even noticed the dishevel of her dress prior to this but now that she realised it, she wondered if this was part of his plan to show her off. Apparently his show of her was going to be taken quite literally.

Moving carefully onto her toes as their spin came to an end, she murmured softly against his neck. "If you pull that up anymore, I will actually kill you." Her words were sickly sweet and accompanied with a smile that didn't touch her eyes as she leaned back momentarily to look at him before continuing. "And I'm going to spin out of your grasp now so do be sure to pull me back in." As she spoke, the dancer's hands travelled from his neck down his chest, a mischievous smile gracing her lips as she moved them to his sides to slide down to his hips. A brief grip and pull brought them momentarily closer so that their level of intimacy increased for a few ticks before her hands transferred to his own at her hips. Her fingers moved to unhook his, right hand trying to get a grip upon his left as she prepared to anchor herself to him by it.

Her intention was to spin out from him with her right hand still attached to his left so that she could briefly taunt her audience (some of who would be in touching distance at the end of her spin) before her partner pulled her back. She had to give him a chance to catch on first, allow him to adjust his own movements accordingly or it was likely to end disastrously. It still might considering her inexperienced partner but she was willing to take the risk. If the worst came then she could always improvise.

There were so many things that you could tell from a body. It was surprising how much his minor training in Intelligence skills came in handy whenever seduction was to be used. Observation and analysis were very handy skills to have, and such intelligence gathering could be applied when trying to work his magic in the bedroom. They applied here as well. His hands were not merely on her to be there. They were not greedy or selfish, there to merely touch and grab. No, they were the fingertips that tried to know her, tried to detail her, tried to commit her body to memory so he could decipher the secrets it held. There was a moment of trembling, a different kind of shiver that certainly wasn't because of arousal. Nervousness, then? She shouldn't be, but he had already told her that. She would soon find out for herself though, no matter what he said.

She worked well with him, allowing him to lead, though he knew he wouldn't be able to lead for very long. He was thankful that she trusted him in at least this, that small amount of initial trust allowing the opening of their act to appear perfectly convincing. Here the alluring dancer was, and she was dancing with this pretty lady of a man. How was it that she would not dance with the rest of them? They held more muscle, were more dominating, were more powerful. The stares of the audience only grew hungrier, locked fully on the woman as she moved. Caela needed to take control, though. She needed to find that fire that she had shown him when they first met, and she needed to stoke it. She needed to show the audience how brightly she could blaze and make them want to feel her heat. If she didn't take control, Matthew didn't haven't a back-up plan. He was a complete beginner when it came to dancing.

Finally she moved, her arms resting around his neck, chest pressing lightly to his as she arched up just a tad. The shiver in her figure was gone, a good sign. She was moving her hips more confidently now, and Matthew was able to follow along with that. He could feel her movements quite well, and if there was any movement that the harlot was skilled at, it would be the movements of his hips. He had certainly had practice.

She went into a spin and brought him with her, and he had to take a moment to focus on his movements. She guided him though, allowing him to make sure he didn't trip over himself while she led. A hand of a patron reached out to grab some of the bare skin she had exposed, but the skilled woman showed her expertise at this particular trade, moving away right before he was able to close in on her. How very talented. Matthew's eyes glimmered with approval, then quickly blinked at her quiet threat. He didn't have time to reply before she suddenly leaned back, then traced down the front of his defined chest and over his v-lined hips. She appeared to have found her confidence, and he was more than happy to lightly tense his muscles against her touch, to give her nails something solid to slide against. Thankful she had warned him and given him time to adapt, he watched closely as she spun out. His arm flexed as he provided her an anchor, watching as the same man as before reached out, Caela much closer now. He waited until just the last second before he tugged, yanking her back to him.

One arm went behind her back, dipping her at the end of the spin, sending her arching back and her hair flashing through the air. He supported the small of her back with his arm and caught underneath her leg with a hand, awkward and sloppy with the move, but none of the patrons looked at him a single bit. He tilted her back and helped lift her leg high, but his body was placed perfectly in between the crowd and herself, hiding anything of value from view. He let a slight smirk glimmer on his lips, leaning down, their faces just out of view, his lips almost brushing her own. "I wouldn't dare let them see too much. Where is the tease in that?"

Was the near kiss a tease? He wanted to see. Was she the type to be thrilled by the sudden, the spontaneous, both in front of everyone and just barely hidden? He tugged her up slowly, allowing her to get her bearings before hopefully leading him on.

OOCI live! It may take me awhile to get back into her mind again but bear with me please!

The dancer was really getting into things and thankfully Matthew was more of a help than a hindrance. Her partner wasn't exactly a great dancer but he certainly knew how to help her with basic things like anchoring her during her spin for one. When he raised her leg his movements were quite clumsy but it didn't seem as if he was the focus of attention. Besides, if his performance was bad then it would only make her own seem better in comparison. Caela was glad that they seemed to work well together though, the man responding to her movements as if on instinct. It made her wonder how he'd become so intuitive. Was he naturally so, or did it have something to do with his work? The young woman didn't know.

As he held her, his lips close to hers, she was amazed by how liked his closeness. She hardly knew him but yet she liked this near kiss, the way that his breath breezed across her lips and mingled with her own. She could breathe him in this close and his scent increased her attraction to him. The girl would have acted upon her inclinations but he righted her again, bringing a wave of disappointment with the action. It also brought a rosiness to her cheeks when she became aware of her audience once more. She'd temporarily forgotten them. Caela wondered if they could see her attraction, whether it was obvious or not. A glance showed the fire in their eyes, the tense postures of their bodies, the way they seemed to consume her in jealous lust with just a gaze. They seemed to have noticed. Perhaps Matthew hadn't. She could play up to him and if he turned her down, she could always say that it had only been an act.

Her course of action decided and heart ricocheting within her in anticipation, the dancer did what needed to be done. It was something that she'd seen done in the tavern before when girls danced with their beaus, a truly lusty move that she would normally have avoided but these weren't normal circumstances. Disentangling herself from her partner completely, she turned her back on him in a smooth movement, hips rotating so that it seemed to be just like any of her ordinary dances. It brought her into clear view for her audience but that didn't mean that she wanted to look at them. She needed to not see them so she averted her gaze, eyes on the floor as her hips continued to move. Her body was brought closer to Matthew's, the space between them limited as she continued to move. She allowed her knees to bend, bringing herself lower as she continued to dance. The music changed accordingly, slowing to match the style of her dance. The slower, deeper beat more sexual than before.

As she moved low, her body brushed lightly against his. It was only a tease really but she hoped that it would be enough to get a reaction. Still she avoided seeing her audience, her expression seemingly shy and innocent despite her actions. Her partner wouldn't see her face but he'd perhaps he'd gauge enough from the reactions of the watching men. Body still swaying, she became fully erect again, her movements repetitive, hypnotic.

Do something, Matthew! I need something to work with here, she pleaded silently, praying to whatever gods that listened that he'd do something or else she'd have to improvise.

If he would have been aware of the fact that she had liked his breath and the smell of his cologne, the normally passive harlot would have actually felt some flicker of pleasure. He put a fair amount of work into his daily cleaning routine, and part of that routine included making sure that he was pleasing to every single sense. That definitely included smell, and Matthew had long since noticed that people in Sunberth didn't particularly care to pay any sort of mind to that. However, he was still clueless to other things. The blush in her cheeks was written off as a simple side effect of the cold air that sometimes brushed over them even in here. For being a skilled harlot, Matthew could be horribly clueless on the most simple signs of attraction or arousal.

A small amount of attention was paid to the onlookers still. Matthew had recently started reading about Politics in the nearby (and the only) Library, and had soon discovered that political concepts didn't just have to be applied to a larger scale. There were politics in play whenever it came to simple everyday social interactions, and he had tried to keep that in mind ever since learning it. Too much teasing the the crowd might very well get to their feet. Too little and they would soon be bored and go back to their drinking. They had to strike a balance, and so far they were managing to keep that balance. Now it was really up to Caela, up to her to keep their interested eyes pinned on the show that she could personally give them.

Her sudden turn away from him caused him to pause for a moment, but thankfully his plot to keep their attention all focused on her was keeping him safe. Now that she was no longer guiding the dance in a way, he was suddenly at a loss for what move to do next. Thankfully, she was actually just setting herself up for the next part of the on-the-spot plan they were trying to pull off.

Ah.

The harlot had seen this sort of thing before, he just hadn't ever actually been involved. The reaction she had hoped for was given, the brush of her body allowing her to feel a definite firmness in his fitted pants. Beyond a definite lack of strong emotion and a passive attitude toward his career, he was still a man. His body still reacted as one, which was actually a good thing in his mind. If it didn't, his profession would be much more difficult. She soon slowly rose, swaying against him, Matthew finally starting to sway himself. Sensing the need to take over and lead the dance once more, Matthew took their combined tease and put on the finishing touches. His hands found her hips, loose but settled, soft palms holding the curves. His touch soon moved up, a slow and teasing touch, firmly tracing the outline of her body as they continued to sway. Up he went, all the way to her shoulders, and then slowly back down. He took his time tracing, the touch intimate but not quite too inappropriate, hands quite close to brushing the sides of her breasts but not actually reaching. It was all a mere ploy to outline her body, to draw even more attention to her shapely figure as he slowly started to back them both up.

Grabbing her hand, he whispered quickly into her ear, voice soft and intelligent. "The finale is all you." He very gently guided her into a slow spin to push her out a bit onto the dance floor and refocus their attentions all on her while he took a few more steps back and sat down. He had no place outside of showing her off. His limited dance skills would soon catch up with him, and he didn't want to ruin the effect they had already had. They were practically being driven mad with lust already, and now the dancer had the perfect chance to finalize a very nice lasting impression.

The young woman had never felt so glad to have a man react favourably to her before. She had actually wanted him to be attracted to her but Caela didn't know why the man interested her so much. He was strangely exotic she supposed, a change from the usual men that took an interest in her. His reaction to her, something that would normally fill her with disgust, was strangely exhilarating. It wasn't just his male reaction but also his touch that excited her. His touch was gentle, tantalising, teasing her with what might be but which he was withholding from her. If he'd groped her, the dancer would have been repulsed by him, disgusted but as it was she wanted to be alone with him. He had such a talent for making her want him that she should have suspected something strange about the situation. She couldn't bring herself to acknowledge the strangeness of it though.

A wave of disappointment passed through her as Matthew's hands stopped tracing the curves of her body. To her surprise, she actually found herself pouting as his touch became more chaste than before. He spun her away from him, making it very clear that his own part was over. Caela couldn't help but feel cheated of his presence, something that had made her feel safe and confident. It had also kept her contempt of her audience at bay but now she just had to suffer their gazes with a feeling of revulsion within her. Matthew had sat down to give her the floor so she focused on the fact that he would be watching her, although she didn't look in his direction. No point thinking that he was doing anything otherwise; it would just knock her confidence.

His presence made her want to impress him so she made an effort to make her movements as memorable as possible. The fact that the rest of her audience might enjoy her performance as well was just a bonus. Her movements were planned quickly in her head, her body positioned for the vast majority to see and then she was ready to begin. Her hands began on her hips, snaking around to a point below her navel as her hips swayed slightly, the movement greatly exaggerated. She was hoping to leave the men torn between watching her hands and watching the rest of her. At first that wasn't an issue for them as her hands weren't doing anything particularly interesting but as they moved to slide down her thighs, Caela could see that she had just what she'd hoped for.

The dancer allowed herself a smile, one that she coupled with eye contact with a chosen few to further seduce her watchers before she proceeded. The swaying of her hips became faster, smoother, the movement seeming natural as she began to slide her hands down her legs. As she did so, the swaying quickly ceased, difficult to maintain as she bent her knees to allow her to squat. She had only just reached the squat, her hands down to her ankles before she was rising up again. Her movement wasn't quite continuous or flawlessly fluid but she doubted that her viewers noticed at all, except perhaps for her former dance partner. As she slowly straightened, her hands following their previous movements in reverse, Caela pushed her bum out for her audience's appreciation and gave a better view still as she allowed her hands to catch the hem of her dress on their way back up. The material was drawn up, exposing as much bare skin as possible to excite while allowing her to keep some measure of decency. Before too much could be exposed, she moved her hands down again until they were past the hem and then slid them over the material and back up to her hips, the swaying motion returning.

It was as she finished this that she allowed a quick glance to judge the temperament of the crowd. Any more and she'd probably push them too far, some looked ready to launch themselves at her after all. Best to quit while she was ahead, while most of them were stupefied. The dancer blew a kiss to her admirers and made a hasty retreat, spinning away from them to the safety of the bar then creeping around to the door to the back rooms of the tavern.

A reasonable finale she thought though she wondered if her friend had enjoyed it. She found herself lingering at the door in the hopes that he'd come talk to her despite the danger that staying in sight might pose.

He watched her, blue eyes examining slowly and thoroughly. He wasn't at all shy with his stares, but in a different way than the way the rest of the men stared at her. He didn't particularly focus on any certain thing, even if the way she moved her hips certainly drew attention. No, the Harlot looked at everything. He studied her from head to toe, a silent gesture that showed his appreciation to every single inch. On the outskirts of his inner island he could feel lust, something that he was accustomed to in his line of work. It was faint, but there. He closed his eyes for a brief moment and focused, drawing on what little meditation skills he had to reach out and utterly crush the attempt at making him feel more than he was willing to feel. A few chimes later and his eyes flickered open, the lust no longer a distant sensation. It was now simply a distant memory.

He still nodded though, able to appreciate her skill. She had managed to improve her skills in the span of just their single shared dance, showing off just a bit more grace than she had before. Either that or she had been hiding her moves, or perhaps just excelled when she was a lone performer. He especially took notice of how she managed to keep an eye on the crowd, judging their reactions and reading the mood.

Matthew found the mug of water that he had left behind and kept an eye on her as he took a few gulps, noticing that he was still breathing a bit heavily from the exercise. Dancing was quite the workout. He took a few deep breaths to relax his body, still watching her and recording everything away for later use. He wasn't exactly the manipulative type, or at least he didn't think he was, but he did like to have as much information available to him as possible.

That, and he had another plan in mind. He had seen the moments of lust in her bright stare. Perhaps there was another way to plant a seed, to advertise, to make sure that she remembered.

He waited until the tail end of her performance, when it looked as if she was completely focused on making sure that she finished strong for her crowd.

When she finished and glanced about to look for him, Matthew would simply be gone.
