ELSU
35 winter, 513 av
Oh my yes. The forest was just what he needed. Fresh air. Trees. Soil underneath his feet. No stone! he reflected joyfully, flexing the toes within his boots. The ground gave under his feet; he was sure he could run forever over the loamy ground. Maybe he could fly away, too, up into the mountains, and whoa, wouldn't it be cool if he never went back to Syliras? Obviously he could live forever out here. Find himself a huge tree somewhere, with an abandoned nest... it would have to be large enough for his human stuff. He couldn't just leave his pack lying around on the forest floor for the next scavenger to find. He has some important stuff in there. Like food.

Speaking of which, he had come out here to hunt. Not to run away from the only place he had known all his life, where he still sulked about in in hopes of finding that one important person. Bondmate. The simple thought caused a shudder of pleasure and a grin to break out across his face. But to find a bondmate, he had to stay alive. So hunting.

He was awful at hunting. He could fight, he could run, he could survive out here in the woods for at least a bit. He could even do some basic healing with the herbs he found here. But hunting? Oddly enough, that wasn't something he really thought was the best idea. Until his food started to run out last week, and he realized he was more or less broke. And that he could get food by hunting, instead of paying money for it. So here he was, standing in the woods, trying to figure out how this even worked.

Elsu shifted around on his feet, raising a hand to drag it through his unkempt hair. Closing his eyes for a moment, he listened to the faint calls of birds. Birds sounded really good right now, actually. There had to be a few pigeons or something around here he could chase down.

Mind made up, the Kelvic began to quickly strip, taking off his garments and leaving them in a convenient knothole he had found last time he explored around here. Naked and without any daggers or anything else to burden him, he quickly shifted into his bird form. Yeah, this was nice. The Hobby Falcon stretched out his slate wings and took a few tentative flaps. In the air a moment later, he floated up to above the treetops, eyes darting about in search of prey. He shouldn't really need much—a small bird would fill him up for the rest of today, and most of tomorrow too. The only problem would be getting that small bird.

Being winter, there weren't as many animals about as there were generally. He soared up above the trees, circling lazily as his eyes darted about, searching for movement.

Sei walked through the Bronze Woods, and say a Kelvic just as he transformed. He just stared as the Kelvic took off, amazed by it's form. A bird, huh? Nice. He thought, trailing after it the best he could through the snow. He quickly realized that in his human form he was losing ground, so he stopped there and stripped himself off his clothing. The cold hit his body like a smack, and he began to shiver as he stood on all fours. He was in his Kelvic form now, and he growled to alert the other Kelvic of his presence. He soon shook himself, and felt the cold in his body slip away.

He padded through the snow after the bird, and let out another growl as he warmed up. He was running now, and could feel the flakes of snow melt on his muzzle. He licked his snout and continued to move. He observed the feel of his paws as they sunk deep into the snow.

ELSU
Flying was wonderful. That could barely even begin to cover it, but it was just so nice, so instinctive and easy and yet so much fun. It took a few moments to recall why exactly he had switched forms, other than for the sheer pleasure that came with this one. Until a dove fluttered up above the canopy, and prey was the only thought in his mind. Two more strokes of his wings and he was gliding, almost above the bird. One more flap of his wings, and he was practically above it, the poor creature seemingly unaware of the peril his life was about to be in. Victory and food were within his grasp as Elsu dove, tucking his wings against his sides, talons extending as he pulled up, straight across to grab the bird. And missed. Completely.

Petch. The stupid bird had flown off at some point, that idiotic vagik. Letting out a caw annoyed and loud enough to warn any remaining prey in the area, Elsu dove underneath the bare branches, whipping through the air as a loud growl erupted below him. A quick glance downwards presented a magnificent white tiger sprinting along in the snow beneath him. Somehow, those sorts of beasts didn't seem likely to be dwelling here naturally, so must be another Kelvic. Elsu swooped down until he was a strides length in front of the tiger and darted forward, daring the beast to catch him with a small raise of one wing.

Halona Mabel

Halona flopped around in the snow relishing the feel of her paws breaking through the thick crust. Alerted by the crunching of snow under running feet, she glanced over at the sound fully expecting to see a deer passing by. Her eyes instead caught on the figure of a large white tiger, moving with purpose as it plowed through the snow. About to return to her solitary game with the snow, she did a double take. What the name of Caiyha was a tiger doing in this forest?! She wondered, jaw dropping. Maybe it escaped from its cage or something? That would explain why it was running... Then a bird of prey swooped from the sky landing near the white beast. Halona watched the scene puzzled. Maybe it was asking for a death wish?

Intrigued she neared the scene. Treading lightly at a walk, keeping in mind that the tiger was twice her size and solidly outside of her puny territory.

The bird Kelvic swooped down next to Sei, and he gave the bird a toothy grin before acknowledging it's challenge. He picked up the pace and padded after the bird which once again took off. He growled and sniffed the air, catching a wiff of another animal. He looked around, but couldn't see much accept moving snow. Wait... Snow doesn't move! He tore off his fun with the other Kelvic to investigate, and stubled upon a wolf. It had sandy colored fur, and light eyes. He growled playfully, rolling in the snow to show he mean't no harm.

ELSU
Elsu continued his flight, effortlessly rushing forwards. Dodging the care branches turned his low flight into a game, and his slate feathers moving minutely in order to change direction and speed. It occurred to the falcon after a chime that he could no longer hear the crunch of snow behind him. Banking, he wheeled around, darting between the trunks of two trees as he drifted back to where the tiger was now rolling in the snow. Wow. Abandoning a game of chase for frolicking in the snow? Elsu could understand that. Snow was indeed exciting. Although so were games of chase.

Identifying the reason the tiger had abandoned him took a glance around, and there. A wolf. Settling onto a branch, Elsu watched her reaction to the tiger's obvious invitation.

Halona Mabel

Eyes following the Faclon launch himself into the air Halona couldn't supress a hint of jealously. What would it be like to fly? She wondered. Then braced herself for an attack as the tiger approached, watching him with hostile eyes at first until hearing his playful growl. Her body posture relaxed and let out a short bark of laughter after seeing him roll around in the snow. She did a play bow, and used a front paw to launched a bit of snow at him. She only hoped she didn't misinterpret his invitation.

Sei was enjoying his fun in the snow when suddenly the Wolf flicked it's paw in the snow, flinging it into Sei's face. He licked the snow from his muzzle and stood to shake the snow clinging to his fur onto the wolf. Alright, you asked for it. He pounced on the wolf, pushing it deep into the snow before hoping off to gloat. He let out a mocking growl, and readied himself for another attack before running away.

He stopped breifly, gestured to the wolf and ran off once more. He looked around for the other Kelvic, but found he was nowhere to be seen. Guess he'd be mad anyway since I ended the game so suddenly. He roared happily and let his paws thud against the snow. Oh well, I've got a new toy, er, playmate now.

Watching the two play, Elsu was quickly growing bored. It was entertaining, sure, but not all that interesting to observe. Until snow was flicked in the larger mammal's face, and he couldn't stop the laughing caw that broke from his throat. As the tiger went to pounce on the wolf, the falcon swooped down from his perch, circling not far over their heads, swiftly turning to avoid branches and other such obstacles.

Halona Mabel

Halona's yelp when the tiger pounced on her was muffled as her head as well as the rest of her was promptly buried beneath the frozen liquid. She righted herself with a huff of annoyance, shaking clumps of snow out of her fur. The nerve, of some cats. A low growl rose in her throat as she turned on the retreating offender a gleeful look in her eyes. She halted mid-step and looked up catching the glimpse of feathers. That poor bird. Did I perhaps steal his playmate? Mentally shrugging off a twinge of guilt she leaped after the tiger in pursuit.
