Leti smiled, watching Sei shake out his arm, happy she wasn't alone in her discomfort. And right on cue, Sei spoke, then attacked. That was a terribly bad habit of his. He charged forward, attempting a stab at her, only to see that he hadn't the length to actually reach her. Trying to react to it, Leti swung her shield outward as he began pulling his blade in. She felt contact, but couldn't tell how much, but hoped it enough to knock his sword far out to his side. Following it up, she tried a downward chop aimed for his sword arm. The chop was quite unsteady feeling, and she also retracted her attack before following it through. She didn't want to lose her sword after all. She stepped backwards, to allow herself to reset, and begin again. Returning her shield and sword to their defensive positions, she waited for Sei to recover, then began again. She started forward, only to smack her right leg off the bottom of her shield with a loud clang. It didn't hurt, but it distracted her enough that her stab toward Sei's torso was quite delayed, and forced. |
