Eth Skin Color?

Postby Anona on April 11th, 2014, 8:34 pm

Long story short, while contemplating eventually creating an Eth, I was hoping to use a particular, very dark-skinned model. Now, anyone familiar with the lore can see the problem with that, since it says that Eth have extremely light skin. My question is this: how strike toy should PCs adhere to Lore's racial averages? I know I've seen blonde Chaktawe and more pale Vantha running around than the lore-specified dark skin, but I'm still hesitant. Have there been any non-white Eth recorded? Would this be something I should apply for in the HD, or is it completely impossible?

Eth Skin Color?

You can have a dark skinned eth. :) They would have a "glow" or a "burnish" about them.

Eth Skin Color?

In fact, here is a direct quote from the creator of eths in her scrap: "An Eth’s skin is flawless and will heal of nicks and cuts. Scars remain only if a manifestation of a spiritual wound. Physical cuts can heal if they are not mortal (or something like losing a limb). Up close, Eth skin would look a bit like smooth quartz on marble, but the colors and tints would vary."

So, yes! Color and tint can vary.

Ah, thank you so much! I feel like I must have misinterpreted the "marble" description when I read the lore.
