15th of Spring, 514 AV
Sari had just arrived in Riverfall in the early hours of the day. The sun had not even begun to creep up over the horizon when she was greeted at the gates and made her way in. Sari's Strider seemed to be doing well enough that Sari simply dismounted and led the horse through the city, exploring the pathways and buildings as she passed them. It was not until the sun finally showed herself that Sari decided to pull out that map she'd been handed and made her way to where the Stables were located. It wasn't until she looked at the map a little closer she realized it was a good deal North of the city. With a sigh the Drykas jumped back onto her horse and urged her into a gentle trot as they made their way up towards the Sanctuary.
The Sanctuary, where people could stable their horses while in Riverfall, was two miles north of the city itself, according to this map she'd been given upon her entry. Sari sat comfortably in the saddle as Poppy carried them at her direction. It seemed pretty easy, all they had to do was go back out of the city and follow the road up, and cross the Bluevein too, but there would be a bridge to Sari was not worried. Now that she looked at where it was, she may have even passed it when she was coming into town, she had just assumed it was some big private residence, or even some sort of soldier outpost? She folded the map back up and kept her eyes on the road as it lead them up north passed the orchards and eventually over the river.
Soon after crossing the bridge Sari came upon a woman carrying some sort of bird cage. She slowed Poppy down to a slow walk and offered a greeting, "Hello! Excuse the interruption but are you headed to the Sanctuary also?" Sari would be more than happy to have someone to walk up there with, especially since she had never been and by the look of the empty cage the woman had been and was going back to pick up some sort of bird or other small animal. "Oh yes, I dropped off a pet Pigeon off the other day to have it's wing looked at. I'm going back to pick her up. Do you have business there as well?" She asked with a smile. Sari quickly dismounted Poppy and took her lead to walk with the woman once the woman had agreed to show her the way and help her find the right place to stable her horse.
The pair of woman talked a little about the woman's bird and about Sari's mare, Poppy. Sari learned the woman had lived here all her life and worked at one of the bars, cleaning up after hours and serving the occasional drink every couple of nights. The small talk made the walk go by much faster and soon they had reached the large Sanctuary. Sari had to stop and stare at it now that she was close and knew what it was. There was a large pasture around it and the buildings were amazing. They looked like they had not been built, so much as grown out of the very ground and the rock. Sari recognized that not as masterful craft, but as Reimancy and she could not help but gawk at the sheer beauty this place held.
The woman let Sari gawk for a moment, commenting on how she too had to stop and stare the first time she came here, as a child, and how even to this day she still felt it was amazing. Sari eventually patted her horse on the neck and lead her after the woman who began to explain that there was another entrance for the horses where the stables were kept. She lead the Drykas and Strider in and pointed them towards the boarding stables, noting how the opposite end of the courtyard and riding area was were the owner kept her breeding horses and the foaling barn. Sari looked in that direction as the woman walked off and made a note to eventually ask the owner if she could take a look. She had seen plenty of stables before, but these were totally different and the idea of seeing a non Drykas breeding program intrigued her.
Poppy neighed impatiently and Sari came back to the present and nodded, leading the horse towards the Boarding stables. As she walked in she called out, "Anyone home? I've come to stable a horse!" She stood in the entry way looking around at the stables and noting any horses or empty stalls here.
