41st of Summer, 509AV "This is getting easier by the day." said the dark haired woman as she strolled through one of the busy streets in the Fortress City while proudly inspecting her newest acquisition, a half filled coin purse that she had snatched from a well-off looking man only a chime or two ago. Raven had been having a particularly good week, beginning the day after she returned from her trip to The Sukina Geysers with the incredibly handsome, albeit annoying emerald eyed squire named Markus. The destination had turned out to be underwhelming but the events that took place between them and the safety of Syliras had been more than compensating. The young thief and squire had gotten into some trouble with three bandits and had had some naked fun of their own by a lake, which turned out to have been Markus' first time with a woman. These events had served as a welcome interlude from the annoyance that the two young adults so obviously felt for each other, they're personalities just clashed...and so did their bodies. Since her return from her trip, Raven's parents had clearly gotten the news that their daughter was more than capable of looking after herself during her trip and the Nightfoots had finally relinquished their strict hold on their daughter and given them their blessing to leave to wherever she wished, except Ravok, she was forbidden from ever going anywhere near 'The Evil City' which of course meant that the rebellious Raven had every intention of going there. Today however, had been nothing out of the ordinary for the amber eyed thief as she had gone about her day as usual and was now prowling the streets for pockets in need of relief, she had to start saving up for her travels after all. Raven's parents may have given her their blessing, but they certainly hadn't given her their gold, no, the Nightfoots had forced financial independence on their daughter a few years ago when she'd made it clear that she had no desire to join the knighthood and wanted to move into her own apartment. So, ever since then she'd been living on her own and doing odd jobs, amongst picking pockets, to maintain her independent lifestyle. Her most recent victim had been all too easy, the slightly overweight man had been strutting down the street happily singing to himself when the young thief had casually strolled up beside him and matched his speed as her hand dipped carefully into his pocket and slowly lifted the material bag until it was free of the large man and in her possession. She passed a produce store and noticed that the owner was busy trying to haggle a customer and so she casually swiped an apple as well, bringing it to her lips and taking a large bite before handing it to a little boy as he passed by. She wasn't hungry at all, in fact, the only reason she had stolen the apple was simply, because she could. The satisfied smirk blood red painted lips widened as she confidently strutted down the busy street, not going unnoticed by the majority of men that she passed by. Several of the men made comments, most of which were targeted at her tight black leather attire, but she payed them no mind, hips swaying and amber eyes casually searching the crowd for her next target. |
