Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Lyn'nice closed her eyes and inhaled deeply as she sat in the garden. She knew nothing on meditation really. But doing this humble reflection exercise made her feel at ease. It washed her thoughts and feelings, cleansed her spirit. It let her mind wander to places, far away places. She felt connected to everything and everyone, even the gods themselves. Lyn'nice took some of this time to focus on them.
"Rak'keli, the healing lady, my Lady, I am yours to use anyway seen fit..." She focused her energy on Rak'keli. It was by her illness and injury were healed. A goddess who dwelled along with her. She had been chosen, hand picked by Rak'keli. To heal one must believe they can heal. How many lives had Rak'keli saved? By her own doings, by healers, by medics? What an insurmountable number it must be!
"Bala, mother of the harvest and great bounties from nature. Give Riverfall your blessings." She moved her focus to Bala. She gave the entire world over fruits and vegetables to harvest. The giver of plenty. The Queen of the fall foliage. Surely she must be one of the most beautiful maidens ever.
"Caiyha, the First Witch and keeper of the animals and the hand that makes the bud bloom." All the greenery Lyn'nice loved and tended to were the handy work of Caiyha. Along with every animal from the goat they milked to the horses Kavala bred and raised. From every bloom to bird, Caiyha was there.
"Laviku, Father of the sea, praised by the otani, maker of the Konti. Thank you for the oceans and waterways." Laviku made his favored Otani his own and Konti were made after her. Konti had scales and webbing. They dined on the goodness of the sea and even birthed in it if possible. The sea was a beautiful thing.
"Makutsi, the Rain dancer and Daughter of the waves. Thank you for the glorious and life sustaining rain. Please keep Riverfall in your favor." Makutsi brought the rain and kept the plants alive and filled the lakes and basins. The rain gave the world a melody. A soft and soothing sound. Perhaps that's why people did rain dances.
The wind blew gently and ruffled the Konti's growing hair, she had decided to let it grow out. She felt at peace inside, the wind, the grass, the birds in the trees. They all felt closer to her, not physically. But more in spirit and soul. If one closed their eyes and focused, they could hear all of nature singing together in an unending round. |
