Day 43, Summer, 514 AV
~21st Bell
~21st Bell
The poison of Heldrog had apparently gone very well, or so her mystery customer had told her earlier within the day. They had spoken within the Pig’s Foot tavern, just as the sun crept low over the horizon before disappearing, giving away to the god of the moon. Indeed, they both shared a mug of ale as their dark hooded figures could be seen conversing in the corner of the tavern. The male, who did not give a name and she did not ask, described how the rival thief had been felled by the poison. In truth, she wasn’t very interested in the details of how a person was felled, for there was many different ways that a person could die, she was just interested in the business that he brought about for her profession. After she had finished her mug of ale and he had boasted for a good bell, he finally got around to the reason why he had wanted to meet. He wanted a poison that would make one feel sick and possibly weak, enough that one might choke on their own vomit. So once mizas were exchanged, she had left, the Dhani no longer needed to linger inside of a tavern when she could be making a poison. Indeed, she preferred her work over social interactions. Well, she did enjoy some social interactions, but useless talk annoyed her to some extent.
So once she was sure that she hadn’t been followed, she returned back to her room at the Sunset Quarters, closing and locking the door behind her. Silently, one by one, she would pull off her black gloves, setting them upon her bed as she also pulled off her coat, folding it to also place upon the bed. She had a particular herb that was of use in this instance, it was fairly basic however but she did not mind too much. Any poison-crafting that she could do was a blessing, for it kept her idle hands busy and besides, crafting poisons was her expertise. As a smirk fell into place upon her lips, she would slip on an apron and a pair of gloves that she specifically used for poison-crafting, one could never be too careful when it came to poisonous plants and the one that she did have in mind, was very poisonous. For every part of the plant could be used for poisons, however, she was only going to use one part of the plant and that was the berries of the Bunwol plant.
Shadiss would pull out the container of which held the berries within and she took a moment to take a breath before she set about doing a task that was beginning to grow familiar to the woman. However, upon this day, she decided that she would use the retort. For she wanted to see if using the coil would help bring the best out in her poisons, whether it would make a poisonous plant’s properties even more poisonous. The woman would also gather up her ceramic mortar and pestle, settling it upon the desk as she opened the container that contained the berries and gently rolled them into the mortar. She would set aside the now empty container and grasped the pestle in her right hand, setting about grinding the berries. She had to be careful with berries for they were very juicy and could easily squirt everywhere when pressure was applied, so she had to do this process very slowly and very carefully so then she could use every drop that the berries provided.
