Name: The Black Cliffs
Image

Description: The Black Cliffs of Black Rock climb up from the shallows of the Suvan Sea, reaching heights that can be compared to the cliffs in Wind Reach. The Cliffs soar up into the sky, and one can not see the top as it is covered in the fog and clouds. The cliff side is slippery and hard to climb for a Novice Climber. Novice Climbers are warned against attempting to climb the Cliffs with out the assistance of a more proficient climber. The results of Climbing the cliffs could be catastrophic and life threatening. The rock is solid black, with hints of a dark grey that swirls and intertwines with the black rock. As one reaches mid way of the cliff, a curious glowing moss graces the cliffs side, giving off a eerie light against the black surface, and small orange mushrooms here and there. No one knows how the Cliffs Formed, but some call them Dira's Wall and said to protect Dira. Though those are the legends, no one knows the true story.

Few human feet have been able to reach the top of the cliff, as it is a perilous adventure and not taken by most. Except for those who like to tempt fate, many people do not even try to climb the Black Cliffs. Young souls have been lost attempting to climb the cliffs alone. Expert and Master Climbers are the only ones who can climb the cliffs, Novice Climbers should not attempt it with out the help of an expert or master climber, as it would surely result in their death if they were to do so.

Once at the top of the cliff, one is rewarded with the most beautiful view in all of Black Rock. The fog is no more, as you are so high up, so one can see clearly around them. The sky seems to be at your fingertips when you look up, many preferring to climb the cliffs at dusk to reach the top at night, so they can "hold the stars" in their hands. A clear view of the City of Black Rock can be seen from the top, and the view is breathtaking. The eerie city is glorious, capturing a dark beauty many cities will never be able to. The rock formations of the city make out a type of puzzle many can not understand, Dira's Tower looms over the city, looking just as intimidating as the Black Cliffs. The fog can be swirling in a rather unnatural way around the city, and ghosts weaving in and out of the fog in the sky and also be seen with a keen eye. The Suvan Sea can also be seen while on top of the cliff, its ever expanse of water stretching out, ships dot the sea during certain seasons, but not many, even perhaps a ghost ship can be seen, who knows what you will find on top of the Black Cliffs, not many have lived to tell the tale.

OOCI have a lot more ideas for Black Rock, but I think I will stop there. PM me if I messed anything up, but I would love to hear what everyone thinks, critiques are always nice and welcomed!

NPC Name

Image
Varikan Rose

Race: Symenestra
Age: 25
Position:Aerial Dancer
Skills: Acrobatics 45, Aerial Dancing 55, Seduction 40, Organization 30,
Other: The story of Variken is that of a mystery. He usually keeps to himself, and only expresses himself through his dancing with the silks. The dancing though speaks of longing and love, so many guesses have arisen as to what his story is, though no one can tell for certain. Although he is a mystery, the man is quite friendly, and easy to talk to. Though he never shows much emotion, he does put on quite a happy facade for others. No one knows if he is there for Harvest or Gleaning as his kind participates in such, but he has been on the island for Three years now, and has been nothing but kind to all. He even teaches Aerial Dancing to those who would like to know of it, his teaching style is a bit stern, but he enjoys helping others in any way he can.

Location
Name: Bloody Mary's Tavern
Image
Description: Bloody Mary's Tavern is located at the Eastern Bay, and looks a bit run down. The door is wooden and old and looks to have been there for centuries as it seems to be falling apart. Though it looks like a shove would splinter it into pieces, the door is actually quite sturdy. The Tavern is built into the rocks and stone, with moss growing along the stone. Vines from a pot climb across the top of the doorway, adding bright green foliage to the darkened rocks. It seems it was someone's attempt to liven up the front of the Tavern, but they failed as it makes it look even older and unwelcoming. Different initials can be seen carved into some of the rocks of past patrons, maybe couples who fell in love at the tavern as well. A wooden sign, that has seen better days, can be seen on the ground as it has fallen from its perch above the door. One can barely read it, though the words "Blood" and "Vern" can still be seen, what it says to new comers is left up to their imaginations, though residents don't need a sign to know that is Bloody Mary's Tavern.

Once entering the Tavern, one would see multiple tables and chairs in different areas of the Tavern, they are white in color and most patrons are shocked to hear that they are made of bones. Not sure if it is just a story or actually true, none question the owner Mary as to whether or not they are indeed made of bone. The lighting in the Tavern is mellow, as it is dimly lit by lanterns, and no windows besides the one at the front which is has a black curtain made of silk covering it, keeping the light out of the Tavern. There is a large fire place in the back to the left of the Tavern that gives out more light, but only in the Winter months is there ever a fire. The bar takes up the back, stretching from one side to the other, with wooden stools brought up to the counter, keeping patrons out of the back where the kitchen is, and only a small entry gap for the employees to get to the back.

To the right of the Tavern there is a small wooden structure for performers to grace the stage, providing entertainment to the patrons of the Tavern. It is not very big and only has enough room for Four to Five people to perform. It is raised up off the floor by a few feet, the steps to get on the stage is on the side, it isn't anything glamorous but many come to play, perform, or tell stories for a few Ashls.

The Tavern is only open during the evening hours, it does not serve breakfast or lunch only Dinner, and provides the normal Ale, Beer, Wine, and their house specialty for drinks.

Beer Pitcher Serves 4, 1 Ashl
Wine Fine Bottle, 3 Ashl

NPC Info
Image
Mary Helebor
Race: Human, Myrian
Age: 47
Position: Owner
Skills: Management 50, Leadership 45, Brewing 70, Spear 35, Organization 15, Socialization 65, Investigation 40, Observation 75
Other: Bloody Mary is an old Myrian woman who is not to be trifled with. She is not afraid to spear people in the head if they start causing a ruckus in her establishment, she will not put up with such foolery. She is a creepy looking lady, looking more along the lines of 80 by appearance, but this is probably due to her excessive tobacco use. One will always see her smoking away, never with out it. She runs the Tavern with proficiency and does not put up well with incompetence from her staff. She is kind to customers, and despite her appearance she is very capable of dealing with those who step out of line though. Those who start brawls inside her Tavern will find themselves thrown out quickly by the old woman, rather shocked she was able to do so.

Mary is the brewer of all the drinks in the establishment and does a fine job at it, She only serves the best of the brew to the patrons, and will throw out anything that does not meet her standards to her palate. This also goes with the food served there, she only lets the best food leave the kitchen, although she has no cooking skills whatsoever, she likes to run everything and often gets into arguments with the cook Fredrick. He will insist that it is perfectly edible, but she always tastes it and if she doesn't like it, it will not go out. This seems to bother the young men, thus an argument will ensue. Though they squabble like an old married couple, Mary dotes on the boy as if he was her own son. He is the only person she will ever handle foolery from, as such in her eyes he does no wrong, even if his cooking is not up to her standards.

Fredick Dawn
Image
Race:Mixed Blood
Age: 28
Position: Cook
Skills: Cooking 70, Fishing 30, Herbalim 30, Gardening 45, Philtering 45, Hunting 35, Brawling 35, Singing 25, Seduction 50
Other: Fredick Dawn is the cook of Bloody Mary's Tavern and is the eye candy to many women and ghost alike. He is a beautiful young man, who knows it, and uses it to his advantages. Many would say he is a womanizer in his ways, flirting and seducing pretty ladies to fill his needs as he sees fit. With all that aside though, he is a kind and humorous man. He can often be heard singing in the back while cooking, his voice making the single ladies swoon. He has no interest in relationships or romance though, only for the needs a human body wants from a woman.

He is an excellent cook and prides himself in the fact that his dishes are unique to Black Rock. The spices and ingredients used in his cooking is gathered by his own hands. He either hunts, fishes, or grows the ingredients so that they are of the freshest qualities, and it can be tasted in the meals he prepares, whether Mary wants to believe that or not.

Sarah Loon
Image
Race: Ghost (Konti)
Age: Appears to be 25
Position: Barmaid
Skills: Seduction 50, Flirting 40, Socialization 20, Materialization 65, Soulmist Projection 30, Possession 30
Other: No one knows how Sarah died, but they do know that she loves to taunt and flirt with the male patrons of the Tavern. She is a little eccentric how ever, and does not like being rejected. With all that in mind people usually avoid eye contact with her, and only engages in pleasant conversation so she does not get the wrong idea. She has a beautiful look to her, if not slightly ghostly, holding on to the youthful presence of the Konti she once was, and the pale beauty. Mary tolerates her although she does not particularly care for the girl, and it shows with how they interact. Mary looks are her with a bored expression, and always tells her she needs to get back to work. Though those with a keen eye can tell the the Ghostly woman only craves acceptance from Mary, though why is unknown.

Employment and Training Info:
Mary is reluctant to hire anyone, but with the proper personality she may hire a barmaid. Training for brewery, cooking, ect. if off limits in this location as no one really has the time to do so.

Barmaid 1-2 Ashls

OOCThe pricing confused me, Ashls are so different from Miza's and I was not sure how to price things. Either way, let me know what you think!

Name: Blue Ribbon Weed
Common Locations: Falyndar - Generally throughout the jungles.
Black Rock - Often where rainwater flows down to the ocean as well as in the Black Marsh.
Frequency: Falyndar - Very common
Black Rock - Uncommon
Description: Blue Ribbon Weed is a common source of shrubbery found in the jungles of Falyndar and slightly less common on the Black Rock island to the west. It survives year round in the tropical climate and serves little real use except for cover for smaller animals to hide in. It derives its name from the aggressive nature it has over other smaller plants that fight for the rays of sunlight that come through the trees. It needs a great amount of water to survive though, which is the reason for its slightly diminished quantity on Black Rock where plants are exposed to the sun and wind. It also is known as the Blue Ribbon Weed because of the blue color that its buds turn in spring and summer months; as well as because there is a faint blue ribbon coloring on the very outside of each leaf. Eating this plant can make a human sick if in large quantities, but is otherwise harmless.
Uses: A skilled practitioner of herbalism can manage to harvest the outer edges of the leaves. Doing so, they then can be ground into a blue powder that can be used as a natural food coloring or turned into a dye for the skin. The plant has no flavor when added to food, but can stain the teeth and tongue blue for a few hours. Dye in the human skin can be used to add color to tattoos, however if put upon the surface of the skin it will not stain long at all, and can be washed off with water.
Miscellaneous (Plant Value): 1 Ashl, 1Bikka, or 3 Gold Mizas

Note: L2 Herbalism to harvest the blue ribbon.

Image
Name: Fireseye
Common Locations: Black Rock - The only place the Fireseye grows is on the side of cliffs and only just high enough above the waves to become wet by the mist it gives off.
Frequency: Black Rock - Very Rare (It can take weeks to find one good sample)
Description: There are few plants on Black Rock that are as beautiful as the Fireseye. Unfortunately, not many people even know they are there. Far down on the most steep cliffs of Black Rock, just above the waters sits a single stemmed flower. It is closed most of the year, protected by a hard almost shell-like carapace, much like a beetle; yet one day out of the year it opens to pollinate the cliffside that it sits on. If forced open for whatever reason it will die within a few hours. If viewed on the day of its opening, the very light of Syna resides in its pistil. The flower's light produces radiance equivalent to a bonfire, but is often unseen due to the light of daytime sun it opens in. A close observer however can see this amazing brilliance and it is said it can be so bright as to nearly blind you if you stare into it. The flower petals are a dull orange color and its stalk is green. If removed for whatever reason, one will notice that it's roots are locked in the very rock it sits on. It feeds off of salt water rather than fresh water, so it is technically a marine ocean plant, even though it resides on land.
Uses: It takes an extremely delicate hand to harvest the Fireseye while in bloom. Restraint can't be exercised enough. It is said that if you cut the flower from its stem in an incorrect manner it will erupt with pressurized poison from the stalk in a five foot burst that acts as a powerful acid. However if one manages to remove the flower from the stalk safely, while hanging off a cliff that it rests upon, there are a few things that can be done with it.
-If immediately boiled, it can turn water into a brilliant gold color. If boiled down this can actually coat various non-cloth items in a pearlescent gold paint.
-If dried while the brilliance of life is still in it (usually only being done under magnified heat from the sun), it can retain its beautiful color, and while fragile, can be coated in a thin wax layer to be used as a corsage like none other. Also if dried while brightened, it can be dipped in a heated amber bath as long as it is at the point where the amber is jelly-like and has begun to cool. It then can be placed into the amber and made into jewelry that shines brightly.
-If dried and turned into a powder while it still retains its brilliance, the powder can be a very strong ingested poison. The poison causes all neurological functions to become inert as well as cardiac and respiratory responses. A person can be quite literally alive and yet dead at the same time. This effect will last only few minutes after ingested but is nearly immediate in its effect. It is painful to ingest and burns the back of the throat, leaving sores even after a person is potentially revived. Many who have ingested this poison have been buried alive as people thought they were dead. Many of them becoming ghosts themselves on Black Rock as they were unsure how they died.
It is rumored amongst master alchemists and herbalists that the life that fades so quickly from the flower is years of ghostly soulmist being fed into the plant, though this is all speculation and the plant is rarely spoken of outside certain circles.
Miscellaneous (Plant Value): 20 Ashl or 63 Gold Mizas
(Jewelry Value) 400 Ashl or 1212 Gold Mizas
(Poison Value) 759 Ashl or 2300 Gold Mizas

Note: Master Level Herbalism to harvest, Master level Poison to extract poison, Expert Level Philtering for setting item in jewelry.
