39th Fall, Sunberth 514 A.V Sunset Quarter

There Lo'campo sat in the front yard of the Sunset Quarter, the heat of the sun baking his body as he stared at his new companions. The two dogs did the same, tongues hanging from their mouths panting in a way that seemed to mock the Akalak. Lo'campo let out a sigh, he didn't think that the animals would be so stubborn when he bought them from the merchant. "These dogs, are at their prime" the merchant told the unsure Lo'campo who's decision was mad when he saw the animals in person. He didn't really want any pets, but it was "recommended" by Jilene that he try obtaining some companions to help with his "anger issues" and "loneliness", but from the start the two animals gave him nothing but trouble. After paying for them, he had to wrestle with the hunting dog to get his leash on, and half way fought the war dog to do the same. Then after that problem was solved, he had to drag them both to the Quarter and tie them to the tree so they wouldn't run away. The Akalak let out another sigh. He was tired already and they hadn't even gotten past the naming yet. Not that they hadn't been named, it was just that the darn mutts wouldn't answer to them no matter how many times he called them. The dogs were intelligent creatures...for dogs anyways, but they were just so stubborn that they would've been mistaken for mules. "Lets try this again" Lo'campo said to himself as he stood up and approached the war dog that he deemed scar due to the scars he left on the Akalaks body when trying to control the animal.

Scar greeted Lo'campo with a low growl as he moved closer to his area. An unpleasant fellow indeed, but Lo'campo was not intimidated by a dog of all things. "Scar, stand" Lo'campo ordered the dog in a firm voice, following the training book that the merchant gave to him. He spoke again now going through the motion signalling the dog to stand, only to have the dog change positions and continue to lay down. Lo'campo was annoyed now. He didn't see how other dog owners could get their animals to do as they pleased. He moved closer to Scar who still growled at the man showing his teeth. "What is your prolem?" Lo'campo asked the animal who continued on with it's rant. Seeing no progress, Lo'campo moved his attention to Rem, the hunting dog. Rem was different from Scar, sleeping and ignoring Lo'campo instead of arguing with him. Lo'campo tried the same commands as he did with Scar, asking Rem to stand, then calling his name just to see if the dog would respond, only to sit and watch the animal ignore him.
He was getting no where with these animals, now cursing Jilene for putting the idea in his head to get the mangy mutts. He sat down again pondering how was he going to get them to do what he wanted.

Time elapsed before another idea struck Lo'campo. Quickly running into the building and fetching some unused meat, Lo'campo made his way back out side to bargain with the two."Ok, Here is the deal. You do what I say, I give you this piece of meat. Agreed?" Lo'campo looked at the two dogs who now were alert and looking at the piece of poultry hungrily. He had them just where he wanted them as he took a few steps closer to the animals. Lo'campo moved his hand away from Rem who made an attempt at taking the meat from his hand. He was glad to see that the dog had energy and wasn't as lazy as it portrayed. He was now in control of the situation, just as he wanted. He looked at the dogs, the dogs, looked at his hands then quickly to the street as if there was an unsuspecting presence. Naturally Lo'campo turned, letting his paranoia get the best of him. Wasting no time Scar moved in and out quickly taking the meat from Lo'campo's left hand causing him to move to his right where Rem did the same. The blue giant was startled for a moment before realizing what happened. Outsmarted by dogs, the thought upsetting the man. They had some nerve. He looked at the two muscular animals, wondering what he was going to do with them.
