Harvest Mix-up [Job]

"Nng!" Saede lifted a large crate full of potatoes onto a long wooden cart pulled by a horse. It was almost time for the harvest festival, and everyone was either storing or selling their crops. The black farm-horse stood there waiting to be loaded, almost seeming pleased that everyone was doing work except for him. When she had signed up for mercenary work, carrying vegetables was anything but what she had anticipated. Although, the job did pay, and that was one of few perquisites for her. She'd been sorting, packing and loading crates of food for about two hours now, and her muscles were starting to protest. She's just finished loading all the potatoes for the man that had hired her, and now it was time to start working on the corn. She jogged back to the barn, giving her arms a brief respite before searching for where the corn had been temporarily stored. She searched the small barn packet full of different crates of vegetables. They were everywhere. She had to squeeze through the tightly packed wooden containers to get to the area where she had seen some corn sticking out of a crate. Here it is! She thought to herself. The sooner she gets this done, the sooner she gets payed and goes home.

She pulled out the box she had found, and checked inside to make sure that it really did contain corn. Surprise! It was filled with corn, but among the tall green stocks, she notices traces of red as well. Strawberries. She groaned to herself as she imagined the nightmare of having to separate every single strawberry from the corn pile and put them in their own containers. After a brief moment of self-pity, she heaved the box out onside onto the ground to organize it. Hopefully the other boxes wouldn't be like this as well. To her dismay, every box that was supposed to have corn was littered with strawberries as well. And the boxes that were supposed to contain strawberries had only a small amount of strawberries in them. I guess this is where the other 80% had gone. The crates were pretty large too, being 5m x 3.7m x 3.6m (m= Meters) she had a lot of work to do. After going in and out several times over, she brought out all the boxes of both strawberries and corn/strawberries. Saede started by picking the strawberries out of the mixed boxes, and putting them into one of the strawberry boxes. She found this was extremely inefficient, and after about twelve minutes, she came up with a better idea. Saede picked up one of the almost empty boxes of strawberries and dumped it into the other. She did this with all nine near-empty containers, filling four of the nine corn boxes she was assigned. Now that the other boxes were empty, she could take out the large corn rather than the small strawberries. She felt quite pleased with her plan, and her eyes changed to a darker shade of blue. I will get this done. She said to herself. Sorting made for boring work, but she was determined to complete the task she was given. She did the task well, making sure to place everything neatly into the box and cleaning out every corn/strawberry left in the box before moving on. At one point she debated having a snack, but mentally shamed herself for even coming up with the thought. I'm no thief! I don't need to do that anymore. Saede was so engrossed in her work, that she hadn't even noticed when somebody came to check up on her work.

"Hey you, why hasn't the corn been delivered yet?"
Came a deep voice from behind her. She half jumped, dropping some corn back into the crate and turning to see the supervisor, arms crossed and tapping his foot. Clearly he was not pleased. She looked up at the man from her kneeling position and simply stated,
"The boxes were mixed up, see? The workload here is almost doubled."
She supervisor walked to the crates and peered over them. Seeing that she was separating the corn from the berries, he sighed.
"Well, alright I guess. Keep working, I'll put another guy on wheat while you're busy."
The supervisor turned away and Saede continued to work, at roughly the same pace. That was correct, she did have wheat after this. Although, she was glad that the supervisor had started somebody else on it while she was doing this. She was slightly disappointed that he hadn't send somebody over to help her, but she would do fine. She sorted the corn and strawberries for the next two hours, and when she was finally done she was bored out of her mind.
Now to pack them. This part was much faster, as all she she to do was find a proper lid and tie them down with rope. She found the respective lids and rope, and tried to remember the knot she had been instructed to tie. Start with a loop at the end of the rope. Continue around the rope and dip underneath it, and then finally back through the loop. This should form a strong, figure eight knot. The instructions she had received with nothing if not reliable. The knot was easy enough to tie, the trick was remembering it. She had forgotten it while she did the potatoes, and the supervisor had made sure to drill it into her head after that by telling her to say it to herself one hundred times while she tied them. The combination of reviewing and doing was effective, and now she knew it fairly well. After she had tied the lids to the corn and strawberry containers, she started to carry them over to the cart. It was tiring work, as the large crates were also filled with vegetables and had no proper handles. She carried each box over, mentally keeping track in her head how close the was to finishing. Two in nine.. Three in nine.. Four.. Thank goodness that the wagon wasn't too far away. Still, by the end of it her muscles somewhat ached with pain. All this heavy lifting was doing too well for her. When she finally finished, she let out a large sigh and leaned up against the wagon she had loaded.
"Hey! Quit Slackin' off!
There's still wheat to do!" Yelled a voice from across the road. Right, that.

Saede had finished working by sunset, and was eager to go inside and rest. She'd been payed not only with money but with a bit of experience that makes any task like this worth it. She walked back to her home within the Syliras walls, and plopped down on her bed, ready for a good rest.
OOCI'm not sure if I get payed via my job pay at the end of the season or for each individual job during the season as well. If this could be included in the note section of the grade for this, that would be great!
