Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Well it hadn't been anything like she had thought it would be. Lyn'nice had imagined multiple times in her head, there had been many scenarios she had played out over the year. Funny, how life made sure nothing ever went as you thought it would. In her mind she would be in the garden or lounging in some form of water.
The pains had begun days before warning that the child was on it's way. The other Konti of the Pearl House reassured her. However, she doubted any of the Konti expected her water to break just as breakfast was being served. Lyn had been sitting and waiting when a pain. Not just any sort of pain, but a deep pain that caused the Konti to cry out. It took her a few ticks to notice that her dress was soaked and that the source of this wetness was in fact, herself.
The Konti of the Pearl House seemed ready for this and somehow moved the new mother to be to the Gilia Center and from there to a source of water. The water helped.. slightly. A fellow Konti one whom had helped get Lyn there answered the question of the missing father.
It took half the day with calls of, "Miss Lyn breath. Breath." and of screams and swears coming forth as answers. Finally thank the goddesses, it was done. But, that's when the strange part started. Lyn heard the baby cry, good it was alive and seemingly well. Exhausted Lyn closed her eyes, "What is it? An Akalak, right?" She opened her eyes, to whispers and nurses standing around the baby. Now suddenly alarmed and worried Lyn piped up, "What's going on?! Why the whispers? Just let me see my son and-" She was cut off, "Miss Lyn... it's...a..girl." They were preparing to move her. "Oh, okay. So I don't get paid. Big deal. Just give me my little fish." The nurse looked at her with a look of awe, "Miss Lyn... I don't think you understand... It's a girl." The woman shook her head, "But, she's something more than a Konti."
A few more whispers, and the decision was made to give the child to it's mother. Taking the bundle into her arms, Lyn'nice pulled back the blanket and was left speechless. "You said it was a girl... But it's obviously a boy I mean, he's green an Akalak." "Look...closer Miss Lyn." With a confused look Lyn'nice removed more of the blanket from the baby. A gasp escaped her mouth, on closer inspection small pearlescent scales were visible on the newborn's cheeks and on it's shoulders. Lifting the tiny hat the baby wore revealed white hair. It was a girl. A god's mix. "She's an Akontak...by the goddesses... My daughter? My daughter? Is an Akontak?"
Once moved, still in awe the time came for her name, "Chea'lyn....Hronis. She may as well have her father's surname." She looked down at the baby "Heya Chea, welcome to Riverfall. You little green fish."
