| Winter 2nd, 514 AV Voices rang clearly through the crisp winter air, competing for Kennen's attention as he stared wide eyed at all the brightly colored tents. Every wonder imaginable was on display, exotic swords and bright gems. Colorful tapestries and tents filled with archaic books, all assaulting his vision with there magnificence. His feet carried him past tents that had just as vibrant merchants shouting out to him. He had thought to come here in search of someone to take him to Windreach, but where to start? There were so many. . . things! That was the only way to describe it, no matter which way he turned there was something designed to dominate the space. It was a clear voice ringing out over the others that finally caught his attention, "Best falcons anywhere, Highly trained and only the best quality! Straight from Windreach!" He found himself turning and walking over to the tent before he realized it. A short fat bald man was standing behind a table, his attention fixed on a big blue muscled man. The two seemed to be talking to one another, a proud looking falcon standing on a bow-perch between the two on the table. To the casual eye, it definitely did seem to be the perfect specimen. Overly large, muscles rippling over its chest, and plumage all in order. But Kennen felt his heart stop as he noticed the bird. Despite its apparent appearance, it was behaving oddly and in ways that indicated deeper problems and perhaps lack of care by its owner. Despite being a loud, vibrant place, the falcon had no hood on and seemed to just be staring at one spot. It seemed as if the proud bird was locked into that, unwilling or unable to stop staring at the Akalak despite all the prey animals that were on sale in the tent opposite it. He couldn't be sure without actually examining the bird closer, but he knew deep down that something was wrong with the bird. As he arrived at the table next to the big akalak, he opened his mouth cutting off the fat merchant, "Sir, whats wrong with your falcon?" The big man next to him looked down at him and scowled, but then turned back to the merchant who had turned red at the words. If looks could kill, Kennen would have breathed his last breath right then and there but as is the merchant had to settle for words. "Get out of here you brat, My birds are nothing but the best! And unless you want to duel over it, you'll leave now!" The words echoed out, and for the first time since he had arrived the bazaar was finally silent. It was as if the threat of a duel had attracted everyone's eyes, curios bystanders trying to figure out who would use those words and perhaps wondering if there was to be a show. "I don't know about a duel, but Falcons aren't supposed to be so still! There are tasty foods for it over there, and it doesn't even care. All it does is stare ahead. Something is wrong!" Kennen spewed out what he had to say before realizing it probably wasn't the best idea. His eyes went wide, his face pale. He had no way of fighting a duel, or knew what that entailed, but he had continued on anyways spurred by his curiosity about the odd behaving bird. And after his words, murmurs began to fill the silence. Those questioning whether or not the small boy knew what he was talking about, and others wondering how the merchant would handle a kid ruining his business. With all eyes on him, he began backing away nervously. He was confident he had been correct, but he had no wish to fight in this new city. He hadn't even been there a full two days and already he was starting trouble, that couldn't be good. One after another, he took hesitating steps away from the merchant before turning to bolt through the crowd, ignoring the yells from the merchant and the beckoning calls from the Akalak to come back. His feet were on auto pilot, weaving in and out of the gathered crowd trying to put distance between him and the merchant but he didn't get far. THUD. Running full speed and without paying attention to where he was going, he had managed to run full force into someone, going into a sprawl on the ground. With a groan he would slowly push himself up onto his hands and knees before looking up to see what damage his flight had caused. OOC :
