Timestamp: 14th of Spring, 514 AV It had been a long time since Liam felt like he was stuck in a rut as far as...Pretty much everything went. He felt so uninspired and empty the last few weeks that he woke up without really knowing why. His depressive state of mind turned for the better though, as soon as he heard a few loud knocks on his door. It was rare for anyone to actually visit his home, but to imagine it was for an actual job? Not even in his wildest dreams had he hoped for that, but there she was; A distressed damsel who was moonlighting as a knight in shining armor at the same time! As he stared at her, in surprise and worry, the woman held her face low making it nearly imposssible for Liam to take in her facial features. The woman made sniffy sounds as if she had a stuffed nose and when she finally did look up at Liam, she glared at him with an insulted look in her bloodshot red eyes. "Well, are you going let me in or what?!" She snarked inbetween the snivelling noises she made. "But of course, ma'am, how can I be of assistance?" Liam spoke with a silver tongue, bordering on an amused mocking tone of voice. It was just how he handled most rudeness, with a weird sense of humor. "I hope you don't mind the state of disarray my place is in..." He couldn't exactly say he wasn't expecting anyone, as this was his workplace just as much as it were his living quarters. Stating what would amount to giving a bad impression, and the last thing he wanted at this time was to scare off his only customer in who knows how long...As he offered the woman a seat, she brushed off her nose with a hankey and took a seat without a word of thanks spilled on Liam. "T-that place...It's not normal, evil even!...M-my baby, my poor baby!...I want you to dig up anything you can find out about that store, anything! I'll pay, of course, but you'll have to work for it!" Liam heard out the woman's commanding pleas and nodded as if he had even the slightest clue what she was talking about, but as he listened and sifted out the cries and sniffling, he deducted something bad happened to her child after getting a purchase at some store; And she wanted him to dig up the dirt of that establishment. "Don't worry, I'll get to the bottom of this. But I need you to tell me which store you want investigated, what happened and anything else that you can think of that is relevant or could help us!" Speaking while handing her another hankey and putting on his most concerned and serious face, truth be told, he wasn't sure if this woman wasn't just a crazy old hag; But her clothes made it seem unlikely that she was a crazed homeless woman from the slums. As he folded his arms, he made a low hmm noise from his throat as to spur the woman on to quit crying and lay out some coherent information regarding whatever happened and what he was supposed to do. |
