A stroll with a Gentle Giant (Jerroa)

Postby Tebridiar on November 26th, 2010, 8:43 pm

Tebridiar turned to look at the Jamoura.

They werent really that much different at all.

Different species, perhaps. But they both had a tragic past. Tebridiar wondered when she would be able to reveal the full ins and outs of it to anyone. She had bitten her tongue for a long time. How she missed her mother... and her father. You could not wish for better parents.

They used to run, hand in hand, across beautiful fields, golden and green, covered in beautiful flowers only her mother could name. And they would talk for ages, under the shade of some twisted tree, and get lost in eachother. And then they would all transform, and be their true selves, happily. As if those days would last forever, and never end.

But those days were long gone.

And it was like a hole had been left inside her, it had festered away unnoticed for many years. And whenever she put any thought into it, the pain was blinding. She still couldn't talk about her parents. Not to anyone. Her childhood was too happy, and it had been ripped away, leaving gaping wounds that could not heal. The still openly bled from time to time, and they were always throbbing, a constant reminder.

"Jerroa, I still have my boundaries. If I tear them away, Ill collapse. Take away the walls of a castle, and its open to attack, anyone can break in and take whatever they wish. In the end theirs nothing left. Yes, I need my walls. Ive kept all the emotions in and they are starting to resurface again. But I need the walls. Or I won't live. They are built right into me now. I just wish nothing that happened to me could happen to anyone else." On the last few words her voice seemed to crumble and a few tears seemed to escape the cold brick and cement that had built itself around Tebridiars inner core. But she soon closed the holes, and the tears stopped dripping.

First off I need to say to Jerroa, I already told you you cannot enter Endrykas without help. You must have a guide. This thread is invalid for that reason. I offered to mod your entrance myself, and that offer still stands. However this thread is locked.

If you want to make a similar thread in the Sea of Grass then go right ahead. But at the moment you are not capable of finding the city.

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to send me a PM. But I'm locking this thread.

-Vinnie

EDIT: The problems that I brought up have been changed. So this thread has been unlocked.

A stroll with a Gentle Giant (Jerroa)

He felt a pang.

"Don't close yourself away from everyone. It might seem easier to shut yourself inside, but in the end, it will destroy you. You seem a very emotional person, Tebridiar. Don't lose that."

He patted her shoulder reassuringly, accidentally applying a little bit to much pressure. He was too strong for his own good, he nearly knocked her ot the ground!

"Oh, I'm so sorry miss!" He said, trying to help her up. "Im too strong to manage... I tend not to use that side of me though, I'm more into reading halfway up a tree really." He seemed to not find this strange. "Anyway, if you feel emotions are too much, you should find yourself a mate, someone to bond with. They might, I don't know... help you a little bit. I've never met a kelvic quite as independant as you, so I don't know if it would suit you... but you need a bit of stability, it seems." Jerroa added wisely, pondering for a moment.

A stroll with a Gentle Giant (Jerroa)

Tebridiar knew kelvics were meant to find bondmates.

And, to speak the truth, she did feel a little bit hollow on her own. She just had to make do with close friendships for now. She didn't feel like she could submit to someone easilly, she would have to find someone who would look after her as she would look after them. It would be the perfect relationship, she just had ot find the perfect person...

"Jerroa, I'm not too sure about bonding. Because of the points you made, basically. Im not submissive. I like being equal. I think everyone should be equal and I wont be some little slave to a guy Im only being with out of convenience to satisfy my own instincts. Its not fair to my mate and its not fair to me. I have to love someone deeply. Really invest everything I have into them and watch them grow. And hopefully, thye will do the same to me. Tear down the walls and build me back up again. They'll need to be very strong..." Tebridiar enveloped herself in her mind. Would she forever be condemned to wlak the earth alone? It wasn't how a kelvic was supposed to be. But then again, she wasn't... normal.

Jerroa chuckled. The Gold Lady was fiesty, fiery. Something he wouldn't have guessed from her delicate appearance. But yes, red was definetely her shade.

"Tebridiar, you do understand... A lot of kelvics bond to submit, but others dont. Some bond out of friendship, some bond out of love, and some, like you said, is for convenience. You don't have to bond anytime soon, you need to look for a while, Tebridiar. You might find it in someone you don't expect." He nodded to himself. "I myself plan on finding a nice, kind Jamoura woman. Yes. I don't want to outlive my mate."

Jerroa was worried about his lifespan. He didn't want to get bored.

A stroll with a Gentle Giant (Jerroa)

Postby Tebridiar on November 29th, 2010, 5:45 pm

Tebridiar suddenly felt pity towards the great ape.

She bent down to be on his level, which was about the height of her shoulder. He had funny, twinkly little green eyes. She gave him a big cuddle. He was really, really fluffy, and warm.

"Its okay, Jerroa. You will find someone perfect for you, eventually!" Tebridiar wondered how it must feel to live so long everyone you love will eventually wither away... "You have a long life ahead of you, may you find peace. However, I have a shorter one. We tend not to die of natural causes. My Master always threatened to drag me to Ravok if I didn't do as I was asked."

That made her shudder.

Ravok. The ancient city, that sat on a lake. Only humans were welcomed there openly. Most people who werent humans were humiliated, harassed, eventually enslaved.

Jerroa hugged back. She was a friendly little lass.

But his eyes widened in shock.

"Ravok? He threatened to send you to Ravok?" His blood ran cold. They hated anyone who was different, from the peaceful Charoda to the warrior Akalak. Anyone who wasn't pure was soon disposed of, in one way or another. It was horrible.

"Thats no light matter. I am very glad you got away from him. It was probably the best decision you'll ever make, girl. Now you can see what you want to see, do what you want to do. Your free, and that is a good thing. I don't approve of slavery whatsoever. Its wicked." He frowned, thinking of all the things he had seen in Sunberth.

The poor slaves never stood a chance. It was rare that one ever escaped the clutches of their master.

Tebridiar was surprised...

Another person that shared her passion with freedom.

"Its disgusting. I mean, your taking away everything from someone. They feel like... empty. Can't say anything they aren't allowed too. It's pretty brutal sometimes. He wanted me to do things I didn't agree with, Jerroa. He wanted me as a wife, I think." She sighed. She felt depressed even talking about it.

A wife?

The poor girl was very, very young.

"Your too young to be a wife. To my eyes, you look about... hmmn, middle of your teens to a human. What age are you?" Jamoura's lived for nearly 1000 years. Kelvics, he understood, often died young, due to their instincts leading them more than their heads.

She looked young, but sort of old aswell... mature beyond her years. She was very contrasting... Distant, yet Relatable... Warm, yet Cold...

She just seemed very confused, very stuck in the middle of things.

It was hard to explain her personality... very hard indeed.

Jerroa was surely trying to work her out, trying to figure out her personality.

It wasn't easy. She couldn't even describe herself.

"Well, Jerroa, Im four years old..." She wondered if he knew about Kelvic lifespans. "But I feel way, way older. And hopefully I act it too. But I'm a bit... well, different than humans. I feel mature but I act a little strangely..." She wondered how to phrase it.

"Your wise, and you'll grow old. Whereas Im a little bit lost, and I'll probably die young. Too young..." She frowned. She didn't like thinking about things like that.

"What age are you, then?"
