Theft. It took skill. It took calculation. And It demanded stealth. All of these were required if one wanted to get money, or trinkets, without being noticed. It demanded perfect, precise, and quick planning. One wrong move and you were in very, very deep shyke. Especially in Sunberth, where there were no laws in place to keep a person from beating you senseless. Otaia knew this well, although she'd never wound up being violently injured. This was because she was almost never caught.
But that didn't make her cocky. After a run-in with one of the more... gruff Sunberthians the season before, she was far more careful about being caught.
Otaia began the process by casually leaning against a wall, so as not to draw suspicion. She then scanned the crowd for someone to rob. This usually only took a couple of chimes, but sometimes took almost a bell. But someone was bound to walk by eventually. The drunk ones were ideal, but the kelvic was up for a challenge. After all, she might as well enjoy it.
Otaia stood by the wall, awaiting a worthy victim whose pockets needed emptying.
