Through The Looking Glass

60th Summer 515

"He's here again," a nearby masseuse said with an audible sigh. She was looking across the room at a middle-aged knight who appeared to have a headache, as he was currently massaging his temples. Currently, he was speaking to Ivis Balak. "I guess his headache is back."

"I wonder why he keeps getting those headaches though?" Nira'lia chimed in as she bore her curious eyes at the knight. The knight in question always came to the establishment to request for a massage, as he claimed that it helped with his headaches. Since Nira'lia wasn't a masseuse, she hadn't actually dealt with him in the past.

Krishia, the masseuse that Nira'lia was standing beside, was a young lady who wasn't well-versed in medicine but was a great at massages. Her sessions with the knight did help, but only until the next time he came back.

"Perhaps he has a crush on you," Nira'lia giggled. In response, Krishia rolled her eyes.

Ivis Balak soon beckoned for Krishia, instructing her that the knight wanted an aromatherapy massage. As he called her, the knight went ahead to the massage studio situated behind Ivas.

"Okay, I'll take my break after this session, then let's have lunch," Krishia told Nira'lia, who nodded in reply. As the masseuse walked away, Nira'lia looked down at the towels she was carrying. It was a slow day, with nobody arriving for medical attention, which was why she had offered to help around -- which she didn't know would lead to her being asked to fetch clean towels for the pool.

Through The Looking Glass

With fresh, clean towels in her arms, Nira'lia walked to the bath area and started rearranging the items on the shelves. She liked the fresh scent that eminated from the place and absent-mindedly wondered how exactly the establishment was able to achieve it; after all, most items were not cheap, and she wondered if they were able to achieve this by simple herbs and mixtures. Nira'lia made a mental note to find out later.

She was still rearranging the towels when a familiar voice came around the corner. "Nira'lia!" called Krishia's voice. Soon enough, Krishia had turned the corner and was standing in front of the Konti. "I convinced him to seek medical attention instad! You're not busy, are you?"

The young masseusse looked at the stacks of towels that Nira'lia was working on and decided that, no, she as not busy. Beckoning the Konti to follow her, Krishia led her back to the massage studio, where the Knight was sitting on a bed. He had removed his armor and was down to his pants and a plain shirt.

"Nira'lia, this is Jacob, he has been around a lot lately because of these headaches he gets," Krishia explained with a smile. Nira'lia knew all this, and she also knew that Krishia enjoyed doing her job -- but it appeared that Jacob had an underlying problem that woud be solved by more than a massage. "I convinced him to seek medical attention instead of getting a massage."

"A-ah, alright," Nira'lia nodded, slightly startled. She looked at the Knight who looked embarrassed at the situation. "Alright."

"Good luck!" Krishia smiled at Jacob and Nira'lia one last time before leaving the room. Nira'lia, blinking, looked back at the quiet man. They were in the massage studio with no medical items around, but she didn't think she would need them as there didn't appear to be any evident trauma.

"Sorry..." Jacob started. He looked at Nira'lia. "It is these headaches, they are very frequent and are even starting to take a toll on training and my job, but I don't appear to be sick aside from this. No fevers, no colds, nothing."
