"That is interesting. I cannot use two elements yet, I am trying to completely learn this one first." For emphasis Terag began to let res out of his hands in his usual etheral mist, and using attraction soon lifted the stone out of the ground until it was floating in front of him. "There are still many things I do not know about res and reimancy, but I would like to learn and figure it out..." As he talked, he reached his left hand out to the stone, grabbing a fistful of the stone with the power that all Isur had within their arms. It wasn't often anymore that he used it, in fact most of the time it wasn't even on his mind that he could mold stone so easily. He dropped the bit of stone in his hand back to the ground with a soft 'thump', the larger stone following suit as Terag cut off his res and it made a much louder 'thump'

"Water and steam huh?" His brows furrowed for a moment as he thought. "How do you make the steam? Do you just make fire and put water on it. How do you make them mix?" He watched her intently, waiting for her to show him. It was something he should learn soon, and if someone could give him information than even better. Besides, this lady could use fire already which was the next element he had promised himself he would conquer.

[The Bronze Wood] Witch and a Smith (Ashe)

The young woman listened to the strange man as he said 'That is interesting. I cannot use two elements yet, I am trying to completely learn this one first' then she watched as a mist-like res poured out of the man's hands and stone rose off the ground to float in front of him. Being able to take a piece of the ground and keep it aloft without physically holding it made young Ashe smile. To her, the possibility of her finding a teacher while napping in the woods was much higher than when Ashe lived back home in Sunberth and she was thinking of asking to become Terag's apprentice.

However the illusion of finding a teacher was discovered as such when Terag added 'There are still many things I do not know about res and reimancy, but I would like to learn and figure it out... Ashe was disappointed, Terag was not a teacher, but instead yet another student also bound to the lust for knowledge, and she felt disinterested when Terag molded the stone before letting two pieces of it fall to the ground. Both of them sounding completely different than the other when they hit the ground and Ashe could see the look on the Isur's face when he was thinking "Fire and steam huh?"

"How do you make the steam? Do you just make fire and put water on it. How do you make them mix?" The Isur asked and for a moment she wasn't sure how to vocalize exactly how to make steam. Ashe knew that she was not perfect at making steam flow from her hands and sometimes there was too much water or too much fire. Regardless the young woman answered "First we should start with mostly water and then we work on heating the water with fire. Until you have steam" and to demonstrate she focused her djed out of her hands to form a thick res which in turn became water between her hands. For a slight chime she pushed even more res around the water and focused on heating up the water.

The young woman focused intently on the heated water until she transmuted the res into steam and kept the boiling water suspended in between her hands.

As the girl began to transmute her res in front of him Terag stepped forward to get a better look. It was just as she said, she was creating steam in front of him. He had to admit, however, the process was not nearly as interesting or entertaining as he had hoped. Would he have to do the same thing in the future if he wanted to combine elements? For water and fire it seemed useless just to make steam, something easily made otherwise.

"Can you at least control the steam then? Or perhaps is there a way to create steam outright? It seems slow to make it this way." He watched her a moment longer, looking her over in full once more. No hidden weapons that he could see, of course that meant little for someone who could use reimancy. They always had something ready to hurt you, he had seen what just a bit of imagination and ingenuity could make back home while he had been to the Silver Tower for a trip with his father. Of course you could always use special handcuffs, his father mentioned them once, to stop them from letting a reimancer channel res. Terag figured he might have to look into it.

Once the woman was done with his questions, answering them or acting them out, Terag would look down at his hands again. In both of his hands he would push the res out into his palms. In his left hand he forced the mist to condense into a stone, in his right hand he tried to will it into fire. The res seemed to move, or at least he thought it did, but there was no real reaction. It simply swirled in a different direction for a moment. With a sigh he let the mist in his right hand expand and fade into nothing and dropped the stone in his left hand before wiping his hand off on his pants. "Interesting. Anyways, where do you plan on staying then for the time being? If the city is too much and you cannot return home, are you staying in the woods? That is not safe either."

[The Bronze Wood] Witch and a Smith (Ashe)

Ashe ignored the glances of the strange man, as she was too heavily focused to even notice, at least until he asked "Can you at least control the steam then? Or perhaps is there a way to create steam outright? It seems slow to make it this way" and at that moment, she let the boiling ball of water drop to the ground making a puddle of mud. The concept of creating steam crossed her mind once before and every once in a while she could accomplish such a feat. But there was no need to, Why not use water reimancy and fire reimancy to boil a stew or some kind of thin vegetable soup.

Her thoughts soon came to the conclusion that she was starting to get hungry as the young woman's stomach felt uncomfortable and soon Ashe couldn't follow what Terag was looking at. Perhaps it was his feet or even the ground underneath the both of them, the young woman couldn't tell, and Ashe contemplated asking the strange man. But it was too late, Terag let out a sigh and wiped his hand on the pants that clothed his lower body.

"Interesting. Anyways, where do you plan on staying then for the time being? If the city is too much and you cannot return home, are you staying in the woods? That is not safe either" Said the Isur. The idea of what to do next made the young woman freeze with fear, Surely staying in the woods was not the greatest place to rest, especially if young Ashe were to be resting against trees with the clothes on her back and whatever she could bring from Sunberth. The only reasonable option was to find a place in the city and even then the city had a set of problems. But then again there was a solution to one of her problems, Ashe was hungry, and thirsty.

For a long moment Ashe remained silent and she contemplated asking Terag for a place to stay or at least direction to the cheapest tavern. "I dunno" the young woman groaned rubbing her hands against her forehead, pushing her hair back, and closing her eyes for a moment.

" City seems like the only place I can really look at" She added opening her eyes again and reaching down to her backpack. "Perhaps I'll ask to stay wit' you? Or at th' cheapest tavern? 'Cause th' city I could get used to" She finally said sliding the sleeves back on.

[The Bronze Wood] Witch and a Smith (Ashe)

Terag raised his eyebrow for a moment when the lady mentioned staying with him for the time being, he figured she must be joking and just chuckled. ”Stay with me? Oh no, we have just met. Besides,” he figured he should leave out that he might be traveling away from Syliras mid-season, ”we do not know anything about each other. Not appropriate, no? Besides you look much too young, people get wrong idea.” He smiled a bit at his jest.

Terag thought for a long moment before speaking to the young witch again, ”Though there are taverns you can stay at. I do not know the price, only their names: The White Swan Inn and The Herald’s Arms. I think at any rate. I hear there is also some other places to stay, like a house but many of them in building. I do not remember the name, but you can ask around to figure it out.” He raised his black hand again to stroke his goatee for a long moment, shrugging when he could not remember any other places for rent. ”I think you could also pay for a home to keep, if you plan on staying in this city. It is your choice though.”

”If you would like I can show you the way back to the city? If you are lost that is. I will probably head back there later but I can leave early. Or perhaps you could stay with me while I practice? Need to work on this, I get little practice in the city. Your choice though, I tend to not mind. Easier going with the flow rather than standing against it like a rock, no?” He watched her for a moment for her reaction, her answer would decide his next course of action.

[The Bronze Wood] Witch and a Smith (Ashe)

Postby Ashe on September 27th, 2015, 2:04 am

Ashe was silently hoping that he would actually think of having another person with a similar arcane talent stay with him. But at the sound of a chuckle she crossed off the potential option of staying with the stranger from her mental blackboard as the man said "Stay with me? Oh no, we have just met. Besides,we do not know anything about each other. Not appropriate, no? Besides you look much too young, people get wrong idea."

She tilted her head for a moment trying to make sense of the jest, The strange man looked to be a few years an adult age, then the young woman laughed with Terag trying to conceal the hint of confusion. At least until the laughing died down between the two and gave rose to brief silence before the man added "Though there are taverns you can stay at. I do not know the price, only their names: The White Swan Inn and The Herald’s Arms. I think at any rate. I hear there is also some other places to stay, like a house but many of them in building. I do not remember the name, but you can ask around to figure it out. I think you could also pay for a home to keep, if you plan on staying in this city. It is your choice though"

The new information made the young woman want to scream, so many choices, but little idea of what is best, and for a moment she placed her hand on a tree next to her. Not sure what to do with herself and she listened further for Terag's advice. "If you would like I can show you the way back to the city? If you are lost that is. I will probably head back there later but I can leave early. Or perhaps you could stay with me while I practice? Need to work on this, I get little practice in the city. Your choice though, I tend to not mind. Easier going with the flow rather than standing against it like a rock, no?"

A chance to observe someone's practicing Reimancy? Perhaps if it is different elements than what she knows? Or another chance to be reintroduced to city life...

For another moment Ashe thought about watching Terag's practice and she smiled "I could stay with you for a while, perhaps you could show me the way back when you have finished with practice?"

[The Bronze Wood] Witch and a Smith (Ashe)

Terag smiled slightly as the other smiled. ”Alright then why do not we head back then, yes? Today was a free day, I can always practice another day. Not a big deal.” He had brought no belongings with him, so he turned and took a few steps toward the edge of the clearing in the direction of the city before stopping and turning around. ”Grab your things, yes. I do not think you want to leave them here, would be bad. It will start getting cold soon, if you forget them it might be too cold for you to get them later? Maybe? I do not know, the weather here is still strange to me.” With a shrug he turned again and walked till he hit the edge of the clearing and waiting for the woman to catch up.

Once she had caught up and was ready to follow him he made his way into the forest, leaving the clearing behind him. He remembered the path well at this point, as he often came through this area in the woods to find alone time or to practice. It was almost strange, stopping every few steps to look behind him to make sure the witch was following behind still. Stranger still that he had agreed to this, he still knew very little about her and little about what her motives were. She wasn’t hostile, were any motives past that even his business?

”So have you been into the city already? Or will this be your first time?”
