Marek had caught a nice load of fish, mostly herring bit he got lucky with the red snapper and even caught a ling cod and a few black fin though. Nothing too outlandish but it was a nice haul. He did have some bad luck when his net tore and dumped an entire cast net full of fish back into the ocean. That was...unfortunate to lose that many fish all in one go. But he did try to make up for it. All totaled he had four hundred pounds of herring, five red snapper, two black fin and one ling cod.
Marek had taken to a particular part of the bay it was advantageous thanks to the Mako having a shallow draft. That meant he could pass over the shallow and jagged rocks that would normally cause damage to much larger ships. This had a few pro's and cons' the pros were he could fish with little competition but on the other hand his nets scraped against the rocks and became fouled and frayed and that's what happened Marek just closed his net and began hauling it back into the boat when a part of the net got looped or tangled in something below and when it broke loose it popped one of the strands in the net loose.
As he pulled his net closer to the boat the net opened more and more before opening fully. The entire net full of herring sluiced through the hole and back into the water. Marek would have closer to six hundred pounds of herring to sell rather than the four hundred pounds of herring he did have. But it was what it was and he'd have to take some time and repair his net. Luckily he brought spare nets and gear with him.
But at the end of the day he had a load of fish that he had to sell. So he set a course back to Syliras harbor. The Mako ran low but not as low as he had it in before when he had nearly fifteen hundred pounds of fish to sell. But that had it's pro's and cons too having a lot of meant one could sell a lot of fish and make a lot of money, on the other side of the coin it meant that one ~had~ to sell a lot of fish or be stuck with a lot of dyeing and rotting inventory which got riper and riper smelling over the days.
After a few hours the city of Syliras was seen from Mareks position at the tiller. It didn't take too terribly much longer before he entered the harbor. After passing through the check point Marek dropped his mizzen sail and let his main sail push him slowly past the larger ships that were moored in the deeper parts of the harbor once the docks came in site he dropped his main sail and let the Mako drift towards the docks guiding with his rudder and oars.
