Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

This time, Ayatah found herself giggling at his comment. She felt almost drunk with anticipation and excitement. How long had it been since she had been touched by a man? Her skin prickled at the mere thought of it, that distant memory of fingers tracing down her spine and kisses down her neck. Utterly irresistible. She had waited too long, denying herself the simple pleasure of intimacy with a man for three, maybe even four years. And what had it gained her? Nothing but frustration.

The male's self-confidence in his own... skill as a companion only made Ayatah more eager to drag him back to her home. She could barely wait another chime, let alone another round of their sparring. Hastily Aya swiped away several loose strands of her hair out from her face. Once again she was getting ahead of herself, imaging those cold nights ahead spent in Skyard's arms. No, she could not allow herself to fall into that imagery future with a man she had yet to have a normal conversation with. She had a job, a son, to think about.

A pang of guilt gnawed at her stomach and Ayatah winced slightly. Kuame. The most important person in his life and he had slipped her mind just like that. She tried to ignore the sneering little voices in the back of her mind that told her: see? What a terrible mother you are. What Ayatah was doing, what she desperately wanted to do with this pale-skinned stranger, was perfectly acceptable.

And if their romance ended as soon as it started, what had she lost? Nothing.

But then again...

That hopeful, minute romantic part of Ayatah's mind that refused to give up on the endless possibilities this man might bring to her life. Attraction such as this didn't cross her path every day, or indeed at all. That surely must mean something. Maybe this man had been sent to her to unlock that deliriously happy future she had always craved. Marriage, love, kisses, laughter.

But all thoughts - the guilty, the hopeful and even the erotic - were pushed out of her mind when Ayatah felt the force of her companion's shoulder against her. He was closer now than before, and she could truly marvel at the gentle swell of his bottom lip. How she wanted to kiss those lips! When Aya tried to step away from his closeness - the warmth from his body was almost too much for her - her foot bumped against his own. This simple obstacle almost knocked the Myrian backwards, and all she could was reach out, grab onto his front and hope for the best. As she held on to him, Ayatah once again found herself laughing breathlessly. "Well. I'm certainly pleased to meet you." She said quietly, chuckling to herself.

Hand to Hand

Skyards ego had been the size of a continent, and he knew now that he couldn’t turn back. After he attacked the woman viciously she still hadn’t quite given up, and he loved every bit of her sheer will-power. She grasped hold of his shirt with a rather tight and firm grip.”Well, I’m certainly pleased to meet you” She spoke. Skyard finally decided to stop, and he wanted to make sure that he hadn’t put a single bruise on her body; before they enjoyed each-others company. Rather than continue to attack he simply moved his foot backward, and stood firmly with his feet beside one another. He took a brief moment to smile, and look Ayatah in the eye. He hadn’t cared too much for the spar anymore, he’d much rather surprise her and he didn’t care who watched. Spontaneity overcame all form of logic he’d had left in his mind at the moment, and he hadn’t ceased to lean forth.

The male tilted his cranium at a forty five degree angle to the right. He inhaled slowly and followed up the inhalation with an exhalation. Before he’d simply gone for it, and brought his visage incredibly close to Ayatahs own. He immediately placed his palms upon her hips, and pulled her in rather close to his torso. The sweet scent of the woman entered his nostrils as he inhaled again; before he completed the remainder of the motion. Skyards lips impacted hers and it most certainly hadn’t been brief. He’d known much better than to attempt being intimate with the woman here, but for now this was the most he could do. Skyard knew that he wouldn’t have any regret due to what he’d just done.

They’d both known precisely what they’d wanted at this point, and he felt no need to hesitate any further. Skyard longed to lock hands with the woman, and snatch her heart from her chest. If it were possible he would simply take off with her now, and claim her as his own. However he knew that if he thought too much about the future; he would fall for her far too swiftly. Therefore he decided to enjoy the moment he’d already had with her, and for the remainder of the day he intended to be with her. He knew very well that he would make great use of the time he had with her now. He wouldn’t even willingly waste a moment, and he knew that when he got an opportunity he should seize it rather than wait.

Skyard unlocked lips with the woman for a brief moment, and spoke in response to her aforementioned statement. “I can most certainly say the same.” Skyard leaned in toward Ayatahs right ear as he spoke to her in an incredibly soft tone. He spoke slowly and seductively or at least he attempted to do so; after all he did enjoy teasing her. He wished to continuously promote reactions from her. Each and every time he gave her a prompt she responded positively, however he hadn’t known rather or not she would in this instance. Skyard leaned backward again and moved his cranium toward her visage once more; before he pecked Ayatahs lips with his own briefly. He decided to ask her a single question this time.

Shall we go now, or would you rather wait?” He beckoned the woman, and smiled following the question.

Ayatah barely had time to react before Skyard's lips were pressed against hers, firm and unfamiliar but not at all bad. She considered in that brief tick how all the men she had ever kissed did so in their own fashion. Such a simple act, like breathing, and yet it varied so much. Her mind flittered to Razkar, the great love that evaded her years ago, and how his embraces had been filled with fiery passion and the jungle heat. Then there was Duron; the Cerulean who had never kissed anyone before her.

And now there was Skyard. Not forceful, but very much present in that blissful moment. Ayatah sensed that they were both holding something back, either their lust or their wariness of each other and their surroundings. This was all so bizarre, but yet so... easy at the same time. Instinctively Aya's hands roamed from Skyard's chest to his neck. She pressed her fingertips gently against his skin, feeling his pulse and delighting in the closeness. She wanted to hold him there for as long as possible. But the disgruntled huffs from their fellow classmates broke the illusion.

Ayatah had kissed three men in the past five or so years. The ones before them, or rather before Razkar, no longer mattered, and anyone in between the three of them existed only in a land of wine and drunken fumbles. And out of all three of them, Skyard was by the most... promising. His kiss had excited her the most by far, and not just in a carnal sense. Yes, Aya wanted to rush him back to her private quarters, of course, but she also wanted to unlock his mind, to familiarise herself with his body and self and his thoughts.

"Now." She murmured, quite disappointed that the kiss had had to end. But she would waste no time in stealing a second kiss, for immediately after speaking Ayatah rose herself up, pecking him shortly on the lips. If they were going to stop kissing, she wanted to have the last metaphorical say.

Turning on her heel, Aya took Skyard by the hand and led him out of the classroom. To the annoyance of their instructor, and perhaps the other staff of the Tuvya Sasaran, the Myrian tugged him through the hallway and outside, turning left and hurrying down the streets. She said not a single word, not wanting to ruin the excitement of their rendezvous with awkward questions and introductions.

Nothing killed the mood like so, where are you from?

By the time Ayatah arrived at the front door to ground floor apartment, her hands she were shaking with anticipation. Her skin was flushed from the hurried walk home, and as she glanced to Skyard's face, the breath caught excitedly in her throat.

Now, now now.

How long did it take for one woman to unlock one door? This was by far the greatest challenge Ayatah had experienced, not to mention the most frustrating.

Now, now now!

The metal key rattled in its lock, turned, clicked and unbolted. Aya practically burst into the entrance hallway to her home, only to turn sharply back around and lunge herself at Skyard. She could only hope he was ready to catch her.

If there had ever been any doubt over her heritage, surely it was more. Ayatah was only too willing to demonstrate to Skyward that primal, Myrian fury in the way she kissed him, undressed him. She was a tiger in the night, and finally she had caught her prey.

Skyard thought for a brief moment, and his heart hammered away beneath his chest cavity as he grew excited with her responses. He’d been tempted to take the woman in public; however he knew that he couldn’t do that in public places. He knew that he would’ve been absolutely disgusted if a pair of people got “frisky” before his eyes, and he had to witness it. Therefore the moment the woman said “Now” he hadn’t objected in the least bit, and the moment she returned his kiss. He could feel the warm, tender and soft flesh of Ayas’ lips; he’d entered a temporary state of euphoria for a brief moment.

Skyard felt her touch against his neck, and chills were immediately driven up his spine. His legs trembled for a moment at her touch, and his heart skipped a beat. His breath felt shortened by the sudden sensation; her touch threw him off. He hadn’t been expecting her to grasp him the way that she did, and simply accept how close he’d been to her. Skyard enjoyed each and every blissful moment, and felt as if they were the only two present in the room. He snapped out of it however the moment the kiss stopped.

Skyard hadn’t ever kissed another woman before, but he most certainly wasn’t about to tell her that. Majority of his life had been spent learning to battle. He knew nothing more than to fight, and she had been his first in practically everything at this point. He would only further continue to pretend, and never allow her to know until afterward; for he’d stolen her lips, and she’d done the same. He wanted to explore each and every inch of Ayatahs body, and he couldn’t stand the amount of waiting he’d done. The moment she grasped hold of him by the hand he hadn’t known what to do.

Whilst he’d practically been dragged toward Ayas home, he observed her silky hair as it swayed from left to right. He paid attention to her somewhat slender figure, and a smile crept across his visage. He’d anticipated this moment, and been incredibly happy; for he knew that today he’d finally found a woman he could be interested in. Majority of the women he looked at were unattractive; however in his eyes she was perfect. She was by far the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen. As far as he had been concerned she was the most beautiful woman in all of Riverfall. They’d finally arrived at the destination of her home, directly at the front door. This was the moment Skyard waited for, and he took a deep breath as she struggled to unlock the door.

He heard the brief “click” of the door as it opened, and watched as she glanced backward at him. The door flung open, and she burst into the entrance of her home. The woman behaved like a wild animal, and Skyard absolutely loved it. He practically saw the woman unveil her instincts right before his eyes, and the very moment he stepped inside he watched as Ayatah flung herself at him. He extended his arms outward, and wrapped them around her waist; she had been rather lightweight therefore he hadn’t had much trouble upholding her. Without hesitation he’d stepped backward into the somewhat open door; he’d almost lost his balance and fell backward. Which caused the door to slam shut behind them; he followed suit with her kisses.

The soft flesh of his lips impacted hers several times in repeated fire; Skyard hadn’t been skilled with kissing quite yet. Despite that fact he attempted to be as passionate as possible; whilst he kissed her and she almost immediately undressed him, he turned about. He threw the woman’s back against the door itself gently; he hadn’t attempted to hurt her. Yet, in the heat of the moment he stopped caring and unlocked his lips with hers before he kissed away at her neck. His heart continued to thump, and he could practically “Hear” his heart beat due to how rapidly it raced. At this point he knew that he’d most certainly enjoy each and every moment of the “encounter”; he hadn’t hesitated to undress her as well. The remainder of the day had been one filled with absolute passion, and pleasure.

Such a Beautiful Thread . . .

Wowzah! What a heated thread! This was very fun to read, and I will just have to tell you guys this: Your characters are so brazen! I mean, there were a few times I felt embarrassed. xD Reading the chemistry between Ayatah and Skyard was so fun, and I loved how both allowed their instincts to really show through. It made a lot of sense to me for a Myrian and a Kelvic to behave that way. Sky's confidence, despite never having kissed a woman, was very amusing to me. All in all, this couple is adorable and super sexy.

Unfortunately, I need both of you guys, Ayatah and Skyard, to deduct some Winter 515 seasonal expenses before I can award any grades. Once that's done, PM with a link to the thread and I'll update this with your grade and you can edit your request in the Riverfall queue.

. . . I brought it a Treat.

Phew! Well, damn, guys, this was steamy as the sauna section of hell! I loved the dichotomy between fighting... the other thing, or the implications of it. How very Myrian of you BOTH, haha! The flirting and gradual seduction was pretty good, although it was clear from the get-go how this was gonna end up. One would almost think Skyard had some kind of lust-stoking gnosis going on for him!

Can't really critique much as far as grammar and spelling goes, but one thing I did notice, Skyard was repeated references to your "incredibly calm" manner. I know that's to emphasize his confidence, but the repetition grates after a while. Try to stretch your vocabulary or just leave it as read: actions speak louder, after all.

Other than that, I LIKED this.

Oh, and please make sure you go back and edit your post in the Request Thread to reflect the fact this one is now done and dusted. PM me with any questions and later 'tater!
