Alex’s rooting in ground work he could see was paying off but gods above if his side now didn’t sting. He’d blocked and counter attacked. He’d managed to force her into a position where she’d have to give up ground or take two big hits. Instead of a simple retreat like he’d hoped she’d take, she followed through. As he’d taken his knee and attempted to strike at her side she’d simply passed through the gap and avoided both of the strikes. Quite possibly the experience gap there showing quite highly still though. His gable of placing the tip of his sword into the joints in the stonework paid off as he felt a heel connect with the back of his knee.

His leg buckled under his weight and the leg he’d attempted to take a strike at her side with slammed down into the stonework using the sword embedded in the stones now to catch himself so he didn’t fall. Gritting his teeth he spun taking a stance the same as earlier except mirrored his body in a similar position but flipped instead of giving her a moment to catch a respite, he intended to dark in but that oppressive crushing feeling pushed out again. Like a torrent of flame, Alex wanted to flee, to retreat but instead of fleeing he planted his feet. Granted something about her felt off, felt like it wanted to tear his throat out. He had to fight now both that feeling of wanting to flee like a child and her at the same time. Fighting both a physical and mental battle.

Instead of fleeing he charged, head long. His leg screaming at him as he did so but no he wouldn’t be put off he planted her left foot towards her and slid his grip taking a big swing towards her, the arc of the blade horizontal too high to jump, too low to duck. He only knew because she stood near his own height. The strike was a simple broad arc but given the speed and power of adding his torso’s rotation into the strike. If the strike Missed then Alex was in trouble but not so much that he didn’t have a back-up plan. He’d use the momentum of the missed strike to carry himself around with the arc and spin himself into his default stance slightly off to her now left. A vicious attack but still tentative. If she was this oppressive when calm gods above only knew what she was like when angry. Despite his calm appearance he was fighting to hold it together internally.

The guy seemed to be taken aback by the fact that she slipped past him like that. Well, she kind of expected him to be unsettled. After all, most of the squires just lacked that combat experience. Not to mention how the woman had around 15 years headstart on most of the upcoming knights. It didn't mean she could slack off however. That much she already noticed. The guy seemed to react quickly to changes.

As that guy turned around and got hit by her oppressive aura, Revy noticed how he flinched for a second. He was afraid, fighting that fear, but still afraid. It would affect his decisions and reactions. Afraid people didn't always make the right choices. So how would this guy perform under pressure? If she had to work with him later, she'd keep this in mind. After all, one could deal with pressure or one couldn't. And those that couldn't, often died.

The guy seemed to charge in. With the way he was holding his weapon, the best thing she could do was deflect the blow. So she put the tip of her greatsword to the ground next to her on the side she expected the swing to come from. So that when he started his swing, she knelt down on a single knee and angled her greatsword over her, deflecting the blow upwards and away from her body. Surely he wasn't expecting that.

It didn't really matter how the guy reacted, as the woman immediately leaped up and forwards in an attempt to bury her shoulder in the guy's stomach. Of course she realized full well tha tit wouldn't injure him. But that wasn't her aim. Her aim was to upset his balance enough so she could work him to the ground and put her big sword to his neck. She hoped that the momentum forward and partially upwards would prevent him from using one of his legs as a sort of spring, like he did before.

Alex watched his trike come out with full power and full speed. The moment he felt the blade connect he saw it too. And cursed himself instantaneously. She’d angled her blade with her whole body behind it to send his sword sliding up and over her head. It worked needless to say sending it sailing over her but as the strike went out Alex followed through with the second half of his plan if the strike missed. Knowing the full weight of the sword as well as he did and the momentum of the strike he spun on his forward leg and rotated around, using the momentum of the blade and his own twist. A good thing too, for at the moment he turned she rocketed forward just clipping the edge of him as he planted his feet and grounded his stance again. Rocked by both her nature and her skill he took a half tick to compose himself.

Ok you want a close range fight. Fine.
Alex closed in on her again this time harder in face he was working against the need to run the want to flee, instead he attempted a thrusting attack towards her. However it wasn’t aimed directly at her. Instead of going for a full thrust he slid his steel clad hand down the blade and gripped it. Pulling on the blade lower down, he held his left hand on the handle and twisted the blade. Hoping to use the shorter range and by proxy faster swing speed to catch her off guard and strike her centre of mass with the pommel of the blade.

As the attack went forwards whether it hit or missed he had a follow up like she’d done to him he’d continue to rotate around again bringing his left foot towards the back of her knee. He hoped she’d be too distracted by the sudden shift of his blade to notice the kick. If that worked then he’d cemented a place and a plan of attack for at the moment he was being dominated in every aspect. He knew that and he knew that he had to try something to get out of this mess.

The woman still couldn't get used to that blade she was carrying. If she had been using her longsword, that guy would have been on the ground already. She hated that she couldn't move the way she wanted. Alexander managed to avoid that body slam of hers purely because she couldn't get up fast enough with the weight of that sword in her hands.

By now he should have gotten used to her trying to close the distance, she judged. So how would he react if she kept her distance a bit more? Though she was trying to figure out a plan, her opponent thrusted the tip of his sword at her. More out of instinct then anything else, she brought the blade up to knock that hostile steel upwards. However, it didn't go as expected as Alex suddenly shifted his hands and struck out with the pommel.

Because she struck out with her own weapon in an attempt to redirect the thrust, she couldn't manage to dodge the blow. Instead she let go of her sword with one hand and used the other to catch the pommel. This way she could soften the blow and push herself away from him at the same time, creating some distance. She made the right decision there, as he tried to pull the same move she pulled on him before.

Right now she wasn't planning on launching another attack. Instead she lifted the sword above herself, her right foot leading, her left back. Her arms were about level with her eyes , the tip of her sword pointed towards her enemy. The moment Alex would make a move, she'd make hers. Stepping in circling her sword above her head for a diagonal slash from his right shoulder to left hip. Until then, she just sat there, like a trap ready to spring.

His plan had partially worked he’d shown her that he could think on the fly. He could vary the basic techniques and that working plated in steel offered more advantages than just defence. He’d gripped a hold of the blade with the chainmail and plate encased hands but both strikes the kick and the pommel caught nothing but air. Another failed attempt, nothing but misses and failed strikes. And now despite the fact he was lighter and freer he could feel his stamina fading. Swinging something this large for this long was taking it out of him.

He needed to do something big or something very, un-predictable. How about he do just that? Alex walked towards Revy slowly. A slow pacing. Half disheartened and shaken by the rolls of flaming intensity but Alex attempted to quiet his mind. To take a brief pause and focus himself. The point of her blade at him something he’d taken measure of as he watched. Alex stepped in, the posture of her blade. The stability, the positioning. He could see the wavering of the tip of her blade. Alex continued his slow walk until. The moment that Revy brought her warms around for the large diagonal swing Alex pulled a page out of her book of tricks again. He used the flat of his blade to redirect the slash and placing his hand flat against the flat of his blade he let it slide along his sword.

He now took a large step in and brought the pommel of the blade to her mid-section again. Going for the same striking attempt again, however this time due to his deflection of the blow her momentum was carrying her towards it. He prayed he wished this would work. If not then he was out of options. He’d have to come up with another plan under pressure and under a close range onslaught. If this strike missed then he’d have to back off and attempt to create some room again he’d have to plan out another series of strikes something or else he’d just have to concede. If he could get one hit in. Just the one it would cement something his patron had been teaching him. To adapt and use his opponent’s techniques against them.

Too late did the woman notice what the guy tried. Yet he didn't do it correctly. If she had to deflect a blow like that, she'd put her sword vertical to the floor, deflecting most of the power there. Yet the blow did not deliver it's complete power as her blade slid a bit along his. Even improperly executed, it still reduced the blow just enough that she couldn't just slam through his block.

She almost cussed out loud, for having failed to see through his intention. But at least he wasn't too fast. In the slight time in between her hitting him and Alex retaliating, she could regain her footing. Thus when that pommel hit her, she didn't lose her balance. It really rattled her and she groaned because of it, but at least she still stood there right in his face.

Her first course of action was to step in, and attempt to knee him in his jewels. It didn't matter how much of a tough guy one was, any man was weak there. She had learned this back in Nyka and always attempted to abuse this whenever possible. Should he buckle, she'd follow it up right away by grabbing his head and just slamming her knee into that as well. She dropped her sword for it, but it was an acceptable loss she thought.

Finally a break through. The subsistent hit was resounding though he’d managed to deflect her blade he could feel that that wrist was going to be sore in the morning. Still for the time being it had given him the fore front of the power to push through and land the pommel strike. An air of triumph around him which quickly fell as in that flash of an instant he saw that Revy had not fallen but instead closed the gap. Alex stepped back now a push of the fear now seeping through like staring down a roaring line now so close.

He saw her knee fly up and into the space where he had bene prior. A half second longer there and eh dreaded to think what might have happened instead, no he leant forwards lightly and felt his blade impact along the flat with her leg, using it to halt any further movement should she try and snap her foot out to close the distance. To his surprise though he saw her blade fall from her hands. What he didn’t see was he hand snaking behind and grabbing his head, trying to force him into her knee as she pulled back for a second strike on him. He managed to hold back long enough but that was the best he was likely to get.

Right now he was in a bad spot, pinned between her. Alex weighed his options, he could hope to fake damage in an attempt to get free and regain some ground. That would give her time to get her sword or he could press the issue. Push forwards and try to knock her on her back through the sheer eight of him and his now hunkered form’s force. Alex went with option two pushing into her abdomen from the lowered angle attempting to get his shoulder into her gut and knock her off balance. He’d try to clasp his hands together and lift her and the full weight of her armour off the ground for the briefest of seconds, long enough just to slip her footing out. He’d take maybe a blow or two to the head in the meantime but if it meant that he’d ruin her footing he figured it would be worth it.

He’d sacrifice his sword too in this motion meaning that both would be disarmed. And hopefully Alex again could level the playing field. With a blade it was damned near impossible to hit her and without it was looking to be somewhere in the same vicinity of possibility.

The woman had him now. All she had to do was drill her knee into his face and put him in his place. He had proven to be a far bigger pain in the ass to her then she wanted. She couldn't use him like a dummy and that wasn't what she thought at first. The woman thought that she could've at least yelled at him for having a completely terrible stance, or anything to be honest. Yet he seemed to have been trained well at least. Unlike most of the squires she had fought.

What happened next was anything but what she had planned. Instead of her planting her knee in his face, she felt herself lift off the ground when the guy charged her. She reacted nearly instantly. Instead of trying to maintain her balance. She just let herself be carried like that. This allowed her to retaliate by wrapping her arm around Alex's neck, or at least attempted it. The look in her face was fierce yet ice cold. The squires who were looking knew that look in her eyes. She was serious. She wasn't treating this like a spar anymore, but like an actual fight.

If she managed to succeed in the lock, she'd tighten her hold as strong as she could, most likely to the point where he'd have trouble breathing. She did not hold back in the least, which was something he might feel. "Yer dead meat.", she hissed at him. The first thing she said after actually having started the fight. She was riling herself up and getting angry as a result. Something that always been doing unconsciously.

Alex had gotten her off the round the momentum carried him through and both of them to the ground. A sense of accomplishment filled him however the moment her arm tightened around his throat his arm snapped up to prise it off as best he could but all he could do was hold her at bay. He could barely breathe a small trickle all that managed to sink down his throat. She was genuinely trying to kill him to end him. A thought accentuated by her words. Alex thrashed his head back and forth his arm trying to prise her off of him his other arm out and to the side, he tucked it in and began to attempt to slam her repeatedly in the side. Something he’d find out very quickly if it worked wasn’t going to help.

He could feel his vision beginning to darken he was on the verge of passing out when a voice called out from the distance. As his limbs began to go limp.
“Hey, knock it off!” A strong voice called out less of a request more of a command. One of the weapon masters in the area had seen what was going on and had sensed the killing intent from Revy. Wisely he’d decided to keep an eye on the situation and was telling Revy now almost at sword point to let go. During the exchange Alex kept trying to hit her in the side until his arm fell slack and his vision blacked out his arm falling limp.

He was unconscious now as the weapon master tried to get the situation to end and wouldn’t shy himself from violence to end the event. “Squire Revy Hiroe, let the boy go or you’ll be facing some serious repercussions. This is not a death match this is training.” His blade pressed against her shoulder letting her know he was serious. Only two options now.

Despite the flailing of that guy, he didn't know how to deal with a lock like that. His punches just hit the plate armor, dealing no damage what so ever. Not that the woman would notice right now, as her anger just started to boil more and more. She had to get herself under control, or she was really going to kill him. Something she wouldn't want if she weren't this angry.

The woman only realized what she was doing when she felt the tip of a blade pressing against her shoulder. Though the plating was in between, she did feel a bit of pressure. Enough that she could also hear what he said. That was at least enough to let her release the guy. Despite her anger, she at least had enough rationality left to not make a fuss with the knights again. She doubted that there were knights that had forgotten the mess she created a while back.

She just looked at the squire with cold eyes, before she turned around and grabbed her stuff. Though before she wanted to leave, the knight called her back. Apparently she wasn't gonna get off of this scoff free. "Squire Hiroe, I'll be seeing you on the court here from now on every morning at sunrise. You're to clean this court and the equipment here for a fortnight. Hopefully that'll help you stop that murder intent of yours in combat", he said. Then he turned to Alexander to see if he could wake him up.
