This lazy agricultural settlement rests on the swampy shores of the Middle Suvan at the delta of The Kenash River. The River's slow moving bayou waters have bred a different sort of people - rugged, cultured, and somewhat violent. Sprawling plantations of tobacco and cotton grow on the outskirts of the swamp in the rich Cyphrus soils, while the city itself curls around the bayou and spawns decadence and sins of all sorts. Life is slower in Kenash, but the lack of pace is made up for in the excesses of food and flesh in a city where drinking, debauchery, gambling, slavery, and overbearing plantation families dominate the landscape.

3rd Spring 516AV, Midday

When Savacea had entered the gates of Kenash, she was welcomed with a surprise. The city was a mess, chaos reigned it's head as slaves were removing debris and cleaning up large pools of blood. The most shocking sight however, was the bodies that were hanging, swinging two and fro from tree limbs. The streets were tainted with the overwhelming aroma of death and fear. Savacea wished this had bothered her, that it somehow shook her to her bones. However, it all made her that more curious of the new city.

She stayed at the Travelers complex, resting after her journey. On the third day of spring when the cleanup was complete she had went out and finally found a job at Lucre Pavilleon with Anessa Radacke. The details of the job were kept a secret but it was the perfect job for Savacea. She would pose as a waitress in the Casino, however she would poison targets specifically chosen by Anessa, and she would poison them. The set up was nice, she was able to continue learning her Poisoncrafting, while Anessa plotted to get ahead.

Today was the day she had to head out to the Ghalash Swamp that surrounded Kenash and the plantations, to search for plants that she needed in order to produce the poisons to use for Anessa. Savacea missed Tokia and working at her shop in Black Rock, but she would make a way for herself now in Kenash. At least she had a portable kit to make poison's, that would make the job a little easier, at least she hoped.

Leaving the crushed shell paths and entering the more dense swamp area did not affect Savacea. It reminded her of the Black Marsh, except there was no wailing of tormented ghosts out in this Swamp area. Long willows graced the swamp, it's long limbs swaying in the wind, as lichen hung to it's limbs making it appear wraithlike. She had chose to not wear her sandals today, as they would only hinder her out in the miry area.

Her feet sunk into the ground, leaving foot prints filled with water, as she traversed inside. Instead of wails of the spirits, she heard the buzzing of many insects huddling together in great clouds. Different types of fauna could be heard in the background, adding to the buzzing noises of the gnats and mosquitos. She swatted her hand in front of her face, dispersing a particular thick cloud of gnats as she continued into the marsh like land. Spring here in Kenash was not that cool, instead it was warm, and a fine mist had begun to settle over the swamp as sporadic rains would come then go.

Spotting the plant she was looking for, Savacea rushed forward, observing it before she harvested it. It was taller then she was, standing at 6 feet tall. Small white and green flowers adorned the plant, forming a circle that bowed downwards slightly. The flowers appeared to be 3 inches wide, with five petals and five stamens. The leaves were lance-shaped, pointed with numerous teeth growing in a haphazard manner on the leaf stem, having a blood-red tinge to the leaves.

The stem of the plant was mottled with greens and purples. This appeared to be the plant, Water Hemlock, that she was searching for. Taking off her portable kit, she opened it reaching inside for a pair of leather gloves. Placing the gloves on her hands she reached out and snapped open a stem. The stem was hollow, secreting a milky juice from being snapped. Confirming that it was definitely the Hemlock.

Digging her leather gloves into the moist ground, she uprooted a stalk of the Hemlock. The tuberous root was thick with root-stocks, taking out a knife from the kit, Savacea cut one of the root-stocks. It was multichambered and contained a yellow oil like liquid that turned a red-brown once it hit the air. The aroma it emitted reminded her of raw parsnip or slightly rotted carrots. Grabbing a vial from her kit, she sliced open another root-stocks, placing the vial underneath to capture the liquid of the hemlock. She sliced another root-stock and filled the vial of the oil like liquid.

Corking the vial she returned it to the kit for now. Taking her gloves off she produced her waterskin and splashed her gloves with water, rinsing off any of the juices that were on them. Once cleaned she placed them back in her kit, then dug the knife into the ground away from the plants, cleansing it with the moist ground and wiping the mud on some dry grass, she placed it back in the kit as well. Slinging the kit back on her shoulders, she was ready for her first night of poisoning someone at the Casino.

Savacea went to her room at the Traveler's Complex, dropping off her kit. She slid it underneath the bed, out of eye sight. Brushing the wild from her hair, she changed into her silk dress. Grabbing her Symenestra Torso Armor, she slid it on over the top of her dress. The armor was made from a soft, pliable Chitin. It had a sleeker outline to it, compared to other Chitin armor, providing her with mobility. Savacea slid her simple sandals on her feet, though she preferred being barefoot she was not sure Anessa would let her work with out shoes on her feet. She looked a little more approachable now, even though her physical appearance kept many at bay. Her arms were too long for her short, slender body. The large, long, and intense black crescent claws appearing like daggers protruding from her nail beds. Her red-glowing eyes a warning to any who were not a predator themselves, and of course the fangs that were visible when she opened her mouth. In a way, she envied the beauty of human women. Their normal brown or blonde hair, baby blue eyes, and proportional limbs. However, she preferred being unapproachable to people. She had a job to do and people would only get in the way, she did not need to be beautiful, she was poisonous. Savacea gave a small grin at that, sliding the vial of poison between the armor and her dress. Making sure the vial was secure, she left the West Bank and headed towards the East Bank were the Pavilléon was.

The walk was long and the sun had began it's descent from the sky, before she could reach the Divide. The gates were a bother to Savacea, the guards had yet to recognize her as Anessa's worker, so they always stopped her. The gates gave off a power that was a little daunting and something to get used to. Guards were always posted at the gates, with two elaborately decorated stations for both guards and patrons. Black-clad steel leaves and vibrant grapevines decorated the surface of the gates. With red wine colored flower petals that adorned the floor and small lanterns illuminating the darkness. Robins adorn the fence and behind the gates the fountains could be seen, cycling wine into basins. Savacea wanted to sneer at the richness displayed, it was not in her nature for such finery. She needed and only wanted the bare minimum to survive. All the elaborate decorating and richness flashed in people's faces was sickening to the Symenestra.

The guards stopped her and checked on her story of working at the Lucre Pavilléon. Once it was all checked out, she was permitted to enter the gates, not having to pay the toll sine she worked there. With a sigh she patted her chest where the vial was, making sure it was still secure and in place. Entering the Lucre Pavilléon, she was met with more finery. Extravagant and elegance greeted her eyes. The scents of Rajor cigars and Morealis rum burn her nostrils slightly, making it swipe at her nose to try and banish the aroma. Though it was for not, as the scents permeated the air and seemed to linger there, always. Dice rolling upon tables, chips jangling in pockets, or rattling from being thrown on tables to bet with filled the air. However, music filled the Casino with life, almost drowning out the gambling sounds.

Making her way through the various card tables, roulette, and dice games she found Anessa working at the counter going over paper work as she instructed some slaves to do her bidding. She was never exactly rude to her slaves, she treated them well enough, even giving them an allowance and the possibility of freedom if they saved their chips. Spotting Savacea she put down her paper work, motioning her forward. Savacea came forward, looking around to make sure noisy ears were not listening in.

Anessa did not need to speak however, she nodded her head in a general direction and Savacea peered over. “He is the one. I want him to die.” Anessa told Savacea and she just nodded. It was as if a shroud of doom covered the two women, as they plotted another deaths. She never questioned Anessa as to who he was, why she wanted him poisoned, what he may have done to her. It was not consequential to her, she did was she was asked to do, she was paid to poison while acting as a waitress. She would save her money and perhaps leave Kenash, perhaps open up a business, she was not sure. All she cares about now, was gaining more insight on Poisons and doing Anessa's dirty work.

The shroud left them as Anessa gave a bright smile, “Welcome to Lucre Pavilléon, your first night as a waitress. Get to work now, we wouldn't want the time to pass us by.” Savacea gave a nod, bowing her head slightly in respect to the proprietor, then went behind the counter to get to work. The time would be soon to poison him, she understood the phrase Anessa placed in her seemingly nice welcome. Savacea had to be observant, keeping her eyes on the man, to manipulate him then poison him.

Once behind the counter she was sent off to serve the drinks to the paying customers. Carrying a tray of mixed cocktails in one hand she balanced another of rum in the other. Making her way through the crowds of people was slightly difficult, as she balanced her weight from one foot to the other, to keep the trays of liquid secure. They sloshed only a little out, as people began to grab which they preferred from the selections she was bringing around. Once the trays were emptied, she looked to see if there was any tips, which there wasn't as the greedy gamblers needed all their chips to throw at the games. With a sigh she returned the empty trays to be filled once more, eyeing the man Anessa pointed out earlier.

He was at the roulette table now, betting on the spinning contraption, with a fire in his eyes that one with observant eyes could tell was from an addiction to gambling. His hair was in disarray, the short brown hair spiked up, as if he had pulled his hands through it many times. Savacea observed that this could be from losing many times, the frustration of it making him run his hands through the locks profusely. His clothes were slightly baggy, perhaps a size larger then he really needed. However, they were of a finery that many patrons of the Lucre wore. Elaborately decorated silks in fine colors. Once the trays were filled, she grabbed them, balancing the trays on both hands as she made a second round through the casino.

Once patrons and gamblers were served their free drinks once more, she brought the trays back and looked at the one making drinks, “Make me a sweet cocktail, requested by a gentleman.” Savacea told the man, who nodded his head and quickly made her what she needed. Lifting the left corner of her mouth, she gave the drink a sadistic smile, it was time. Reaching her hand down the armor she brought out the vial, keeping it hidden in her fist she picked up the cocktail. Seeking out some shadows, she found a corner away from the crowds of gamblers.

While in the shadows of the corner she opened the vial, placing two drops of the hemlock root oil into the cocktail. Swirling it with her hand she replaced the cork securely, then placed it back in her armor, letting the material hold the vial against her chest. Two drops could kill him, though it was possibly to only place him in a coma for a few days. It would start off as tremors, many would take it as the shakes from stress. He would vomit, have a problem with his movements and possibly become paralyzed. Then he would convulse and die or go into a coma for an extended amount of time. Hemlock had a high toxicity to it, many people did not realize that the plant was life threatening not only to humans, but to livestock as well.

Smirking down at the now spiked drink, she peered over at the man, who was still playing roulette and losing. He ran his hands through his hair, making it spike out further, as his fist hit the table in irritation. Perfect timing for a cocktail.. Savacea thought, a devious smile spreading across her face as her red-eyes locked onto her prey. It was time for the deed to be done.

Tossing her hair over her shoulder she straightened her dress out and sashayed to the man. Sure she was not as appealing as a human, but some men like the other-worldly looks she possessed. She was something different, unique, among the cesspool of normalities. After all, Symenestra possessed a type of beauty to seduce people during the Harvest and Gleanings. Though they were frightening, there was something about them that drew others towards them. She would use what ever means necessary to accomplish her goals, as she made her way to the roulette table the man was playing at.

“I think you need a drink.” Savacea said, her Symenos accent hugging her common words, making it come off almost lyrical and soothing. Her voice captured the man's attention and she watched as the different emotions played across his face. First there was shock, then fear, then curiosity. Perfect.. Be curious my dear. Savacea thought to herself, making a closed mouth smile spread across her features. The man's eyes softened slightly, as he took in her monstrous beauty. The way she stood out among the crowds of humans, the elegant elongated arms, the body of a dancer, and smiled back. “Perhaps you are right little lady.” The man said taking the drink from her clawed hand. He sat the glass in front of him, not taking a drink yet as he turned his attention to Savacea. “You knew here. I ain't seen you here before.” The man inquired his eyes roving over her body. The way he inspected her made her cringe slightly inside, but she kept her face neutral and her tone pleasant.

“Yes I just started here. Today is my first day actually. I saw you from across the room. You looked stressed so I thought I would come relieve some of that stress.” She told the man, her hand rubbing his arm slightly, as she peered up at him seductively from under her lashes. The man shifted a little from side to side, not sure how to take Savacea at first, then settled down putting his hand at her waist. “Well perhaps a pretty lady like you will bring this fella some luck.” He told her in a burly, flirtatious tone as he grasped her side bringing her closer to him.

Being close to the male made her want to stick her fangs into him and let her venom flow into his veins. But she couldn't, she had a job to do, something she needed to finish. So she had to deal with it, deal with the flirting and seducing, for now anyway. He would regret it all once that poison hit his system.

Savacea rubbed her body against his, in a seductive manner, “You feel as if you work out.” She told him, laughing softly as she ran her hands across his chest, feeling him. The man blushed and chuckled, “Perhaps I will show you that work out later tonight.” He said with a wink, his hand gliding from her back to grasp her behind, letting her know exactly what kind of work out he wanted to do later. Savacea did not back down, though a part of her was in utter disgust, she pushed through licking her lips with the tip of her tongue, “Mmm.. I think I would like that kind of work out.” She told him, leaning up to whisper in his ear, “If you could handle me.” She giggled like the girls she despised so much, licking his ear with the tip of her tongue. The man shivered ever so slightly, his hand grasping her more firmly.

“If ya don't stop we won't make it to the back.” He told Savacea, making her give him an enticing smile, “Perhaps I don't care who sees.” She told the man, playing on his fantasy that he let out in the words he spoke. He obviously wanted someone who did not care about openly displaying affections for the public eyes, so she played on those wants, bringing him closer and closer to the end. The man looked flustered, the pleasure of her words lit his eyes with wanton, “You should try this drink I had it made specially for you.” She told the man, picking the glass up and bringing it to his lips.

He winked at her and drained the entire contents in three gulps. It would not take long for the Hemlock to take effect, so she winked at the man sliding her hand up and down his chest, “Why don't you finish your game and I will meet you in the back of the Casino?” She told him, her red-eyes staring into his brown ones. The man blushed and ran his hand through his hair, nodding, “I will see you soon vixen.” He told her, as he watched her walk away. She put a little sashay in her step, just for the hell of it, as she went back to the counter to serve more drinks. She really disliked being so intimately close with someone else. It made disgust build up in her, not only for herself but for the person it was directed to. However, she would seduce the shyke out of who ever she had to, in order to do her job and get what she wanted. Morals were a thing of the past, her moral compass no longer went due east or west, it spun in a chaotic circle.

In a bell he would be in the back of the Casino and she would let Anessa know. So she could do as she wish with the man. Whether it be to interrogate him in his poisoned state since everything would be like a dream and he would not remember much of it or to just finish killing him before the poison. Savacea did not know, she was not privy to such just yet, she poisoned and left them to it. Going back to being a waitress for the rest of her shift, delivering food and various drinks to the patrons and gamblers.
