Lost in the city (Coba)

She was unconvinced, he had seen it in her eyes, and laughing at that, kind may not have been the right word to describe this women, She was strong, there was no doubt about that, but that strength hardened her to the outside world. That made Jason sad, she was a good person at heart, and he could see that.

He will suddenly look up and run back to all the shops that they have passed, yelling “OH CRAP I FORGOT TO PICK UP CALEB’S AS WELL” he will pick up an exact replica of everything that they have picked up already, except for the lantern, he picks up Caleb the Inartan glass lantern, paying for the extra five mizas out of his pocket. After this he will run back to Coba and start wheezing out of breath. “Sorry about that I forgot I’m picking up the supplies for my brother as well, He would have been crazy if I had forgotten it, also on the thought, I need to pick up cooking supplies for him, he cooks significantly better than I do apparently. I usually just throw it into a pot and call it food.”

He will look at Coba and say, “So horses, I don’t know much about horses, I heard of one that was shiny, but outside of that I’m completely lost. Almost as much as the subjects of con-men and food escapes me. So if you are ever able to help me on any of the aforementioned topics it would be wonderful.”

Lost in the city (Coba)

Postby Coba on January 19th, 2011, 5:48 pm

Coba stood silent and stoic as Jason yelped and ran about, retracing their paths. She raised an eyebrow speculatively at the explosion, seeing more of a young puppy then grown man. It occurred to her that he might have her in age, not that she could be sure, but of the two of them . . . well. As he came running back to stand with her again, she couldn't help but cracking a smile. Coba had a hard time keeping a straight face at a funeral. Chuckling under her breath, she turned to continue on the purchase path, gesturing for him to follow, though she doubted she needed to.

A sturdy pony perhaps? That would suit him well. Maybe a crossbred, for size and speed. Coloursplash? She snorted quietly to herself when he outlined his extent of equine knowledge. Shiny indeed. "I've helped you thus far, haven't I? I won't lead you astray. Very much." She made no promises about his morals, though she seriously doubted he'd be sticking around long enough for those to be corrupted. But as for horses. "We'd have to go to the Windmount Stables. But I doubt you need me to fend for you. Serena Windmount won't cheat you." Not that she knew the woman personally, but reputation served her well. It was also one of those perks as a side effect to living in a city such as Syliras.

Lost in the city (Coba)

Jason looked at Coba confusedly, he didn’t know where the stables were either. But he didn’t want to admit that, she would probably think even less of him after that then she did now, and that would be impressive. Since he just acted like something of a five year old when he realized that he forgot Caleb’s supplies, so it would be embarrassing to admit that.

She gestured for him to follow her, he didn’t have to say that he knew less about the layout of the city than he should. She had already assumed this not a good thing, but a useful one. “What kind of horse do you suggest I get, I want one that would be calmer. As would my brother, my skills are of the variety that would scare a horse. And how do you know that she won’t cheat me, I don’t know how you can tell that kind of thing.”

Still curious about a lot of things that Coba had said, he didn’t really know much about anything about this girl, and that made her interesting, she was very much his polar opposite. She was very fiery and very street smart, well he was very reserved and very bookish, this made her interesting in almost every way. Maybe they would get to travel together, that would be interesting, probably not though, she seemed the type that didn’t deal with problems again. And she might see him like that, he hoped she didn’t but she might. Well it didn’t matter, he was leaving soon, and it was unlikely he would ever see her again. Shame though she was interesting.

Bad News Everybody. School is picking up, Exams are beginning to happen, homework is growing time consuming, I may soon be evicted from my apartment, I'm dealing with severe and physical fights among several of my best friends, and I can't seem to find a time to get much needed sleep. I'm terribly sorry, but don't expect to see much of me for a long while.
