Summer 6th 516 A.v

The Sun rose high into the Sky, and breathed life into the once cold, dark night. Yesterday was quite enjoyable, and a day that Skyard would commit to memory for the remainder of his life. He had fallen into bed yet again; alongside his incredibly gorgeous bond-mate, Kaie. In nothing but a few chimes he went from being a man without purpose, to being a man in love. Their encounter was swift, passionate and one that he never expected to occur again. He awoke beside his beloved bond-mate, and did not bother to voice himself. She rested atop his chest ,and the Lion listened closely to the sound of each and every single one of her breaths.

Birds chirped outside the water-stained window above their heads. Today would be a day that Skyard would dedicate to pleasing Kaie. Perhaps he would make an attempt at making her some leather; he learned overtime that their society and their people held leather in high regard. He knew that he still possessed his kit, and his several pounds of medium-grade leather. He attempted to sneak his way out from beneath her. He was not the most stealthy individual, and he would be incredibly surprised to see if she did not wake up.

He made his way over to his desk, and began to work away with a scalpel from his leather-workers toolkit. Skyard grabbed hold of a large portion of leather, and began to select which piece would be “perfect” for his project. He found that a single large piece would work, and he wanted to make sure that it was enough to properly fit her. However, the question at this particular point was what would he make for her. The Lion was never left with the choice to choose a perfect gift for his beloved woman. Although he had a fairly decent amount of mizas; he would rather not go out and buy a gift for her when he could make one for himself.

As a Myrian woman she likely did not value possessions simply because they were expensive. Sentimental value was far more important than the price of a gift, and The Kelvic immediately got to work. He began to wonder what things were common in her society, and instantly sparked a thought. He would make her a piece of leather that wrapped around her head, but he would need to visit the local market in advance. He knew exactly what he needed; perhaps he would purchase some feathers, and a few beads or strings of different colors. He had never been quite the artist, but as per usual he wanted to challenge himself.

He stood erect for a moment and adjusted his clothing as he made his way out the door. Skyard attempted to plan, and organize a list of things that he needed. He voiced the series of small things that he needed “ Feathers, I need two beads to go on both sides of the headband and feathers I'll get them blue, and..String.. a little bit of that too.” The Kelvic spoke to himself repetitively and attempted to memorize his somewhat lengthy list.

Within a few chimes he reached his destination, and spoke to a rather young woman. She appeared to be at most fourteen years of age, and Skyard spoke to her for a brief moment. “I am here to purchase two beads, four blue feathers, and a single piece of incredibly thin intertwined red cloth. “ He voiced his words to the young lady, and he immediately knew that he confused her beyond belief. However, she proceeded to walk to what appeared to be the storage unit and returned with a massive piece of red cloth. Skyard watched on as she proceeded to cut away at the cloth and tie it together in such a fashion that it became tightly coiled.

“The beads will cost you a total of two silver mizas, and the cloth will cost you two gold mizas the feathers are going to be an additional four gold mizas. The total amount that you owe me is 6 gold miza and two silver miza.”

The young woman spoke, and Skyard quickly threw her the coin and bolted for his home in order to arrive before Kaie noticed. He opened the door and attempted to sneak back in and set down his small amount of material. He immediately got to work, and sliced two horizontal lines in the leather; he did not want to give her a thin headband. Skyard wanted to make sure that she had something beyond his scimitar to cherish. He could only hope that she was not awake while he went out to shop.

Besides Ruby's precious whores in Sunberth, Kaie had known few barbarian women exonerated from shame after staying so many consecutive nights in a lover's bed. Some blushed at Riverfall's women's sanctuary the Myrian had previous stayed at, whispering confessions to confidants they had scrubbed themselves clean upon return from their conquests. The Falyndar native never understood the stigma placed on women abroad. Men could petch and whore themselves all through the city and none would bat an eye, yet if a woman was heard doing the same? Damaged cargo.

Asleep upon Skyard's chest, the norms of a society that would never adopt her were not to be feared. Her lover's embrace was warm. The beat of his heart in her ear as it laid pressed to his chest was soothing. Their nightly antics left her breathless. Their shared bond left every sensation and emotion heightened, a perk that guided their passion until the satisfaction earned was near mythical proportions. Yet what started as a coincidental pairing out of their control was slowly evolving into something deeper than mere physical intimacy. There was more emerging than a forced devotion and a persistent desire. Whatever it was, Kaie was acutely aware of its growing presence.

She felt the body of her beloved slip from beneath her ever so slowly. Replacing his touch was the warmth of the bed where he once laid. His absence was immediately unsatisfying to the Myrian woman, whose mind slowly roused toward the waking world with eyes blinking away sleep. Her amber stare watched his figure as he flitted about the room in near silence. Then, in all his secrecy, he vanished from his own domicile.

Kaie furrowed her brow and sat up. Legs swung over the side of the bed and her naked form crossed the room to find the window. Sure enough, her bondmate was continuing on his way into the city and leaving her long behind. The heels of her palms rubbed at her eyes once more. I could follow him and find out what he's doing...or I could just wait, the woman considered her options carefully. In a few ticks she sighed with a resignation to remain. She retreated back within the warmth of covers, pulling them over her naked figure to warm her tawny flesh. Whether she remained there because the fabric carried the comforts of his scent, or because she feared madness would bring her to follow after him was unknown.

In any case, when he did finally return, he'd find his Myrian lover exactly where he'd left her. Her brow arched, eyes dancing with curiosity, and voice carrying a false innocence as if she hadn't noticed he had ever left her side. "Go somewhere?"

Skyard heard her sweet voice whilst he worked diligently, and nearly lost his focus which resulted in him poking himself with the cutting tool. He ignored the pain for a moment, and turned his head toward Kaie in response to her question. “Yes darling I did. Yesterday was spectacular, but today is special. I am going to make you something nice albeit simple.” The Kelvic spoke before he got back to work on his “project”. After he made the initial and somewhat lengthy cut in the leather he began to thin it out by making a second series of cuts. He did not want her to experience any discomfort; therefore he decided to make it as thin and as flexible as possible. He proceeded “measure” using his thumb from what he thought to be the center of the leather. “One... Two.. Three” he counted to himself as he measured three of his thumb lengths and cut a hole in that particular spot.

Skyard wanted to leave no room for error; for he could never forgive himself if he told his beloved Kaie that today was special and didn't fulfill his words. He began the slow and grueling process of binding the intertwined red string to the leather. Skyard took some of the adhesive from his kit and began to spread it across the “half” points of the headband and attach the string to it. Whilst he waited for the liquid adhesive to dry he made two more cuts in order to complete the process. He used the remainder of the string and forced it through the small hole that he cut into the leather. Skyard pulled it through without any issue and attempted to tie a knot.

He had never bothered to learn how to tie a proper knot before, but he figured that if he forced the string around and through itself multiple times that it would work. Eventually it did, and as time passed the piece began to come together. Within a few more ticks the adhesive dried, and Skyard cut away the extra leather leaving behind a headband. The headband could only be described in a few short words; simple, beautiful, and elegant. The blue feathers hung from the red string attached to the side of the headband; whilst red intertwined string connected to somewhat dark leather formed the remainder of the piece.

Skyard quickly turned toward Kaie, and immediately stood from the seat he once rested in. The Kelvic parted his lips and spoke aloud to her. “Stand up beautiful. I have something for you darling.” Skyard spoke softly as he approached her bedside and attempted to tuck his surprise away. He tried to hide it from her sight to the best of his ability. Although he was not the most stealthy individual he could only hope that she had not seen it. “Close your eyes while you're at it love.” Skyard gave yet another command as he grasped hold of her hand in order to guide her from the bed.

The bond had always made Skyard feel somewhat like an open book to his lover. His emotions and a select few sensations he experienced were hers to share. The intimacy was mutual. Both their secrets seemed to reveal themselves to the other sooner rather than later, some ghosts of the past presenting more literally than others. There was no shame to be endured when they were discovered. Only warm, comforting embrace. Never had they actively tried to hide something from one another. At least not until today.

Kaie sat up from the bed and flopped forward to lane prone at the other end of the bed, body intertwining with loose sheets. A hand emerged from the warmth of the covers to prop up her head while she eyed her sneaky bondmate with perplexed expression. First he slips away before I wake. Now he returns with no explanation but promise of a gift? The Myrian narrowed her eyes and attempted to see around Skyard's slender, industrious frame in hopes of finding out exactly what sort of surprise he was planning. She rocked left, right, then rolled onto her back with a huff of frustration.

"Something?" Kaie pressed him curiously though she didn't expect the man to break so easily. It was enough she restrained the urge to wander over and spoil the mystery. Instead she relented to arise from the bed and set to dressing herself while he worked. That in itself was quite a task, for their clothes had been strewn nearly everywhere the night before. She found her loincloth at the foot of the bed, weapons belt on the floor nearby, and vest evidently tossed far closer to the door itself. Skyard suggested the completion of his work right around the time it took Kaie to find herself fully clothed. Having just found a seat against upon the bed, she relented to his will and stood once more.

"What is it?" A final attempt to pressure him into revealing his creation in vain. Clearly the bit about her founding surprises unbearable was something up her not yet shared. He seemed to be proud with whatever work he had completed for her though. Who was she to deny him his moment due to childish nerves? The Myrian reluctantly closed her eyes and led her lover lead her.

It's a, uh...petch. Something for the sword he had given me? Maybe? A carving? The suspense was fatalistic. Any extra touch from Skyard in that moment would've warranted an unintentional flinch response.
"I swear if you're about to just guide my hand between your legs, I'm going to find your own sword and lop it off," she teased, redirecting her own caution with a shield of humor.

Skyard ignored each and every one of the questions that his beloved Kaie asked. He did not want to spoil the surprise despite the fact that she despised them, and it seemed to bother her. She suddenly made a statement that shocked him a bit, but he had an outburst of laughter. “This woman, is so violent but I can do nothing other than adore it!” The Kelvic thought to guide her hand toward his manhood, but he did not want to risk getting hurt. Therefore he decided to pull out the gift that he hand-crafted for her, and opened it as wide as possible. Skyard proceeded to slide the beautifully made head-band over her cranial structure.

He gave yet another command after he placed it over her head, and gently kissed her lips. The moment he pulled back the Lion voiced “Open your eyes, gorgeous.”in a somewhat soft tone. The moment her eyes open she would likely notice that he wore quite the large grin. Skyard wanted to make sure that she knew how much she meant to him at any and all times. Although she had already been aware of what she became to him the moment he bonded to her.

The headband looked exactly the way that he expected it to, and it fit smugly on her head. Somehow he managed to estimate the proper length and width without having known any of the basic mathematics that required. He was somewhat proud of his work, but knew that it was far from perfect. Skyard wished that he was more skilled; perhaps he would set a goal to perfect his craft.

“That is by far some of my best work, and I had quite a difficult time with it.” He spoke again softly, and wrapped his arms around his lovers waist. Skyard did not hesitate to step in as close as possible to her. He quite enjoyed the warmth of her body, the beat of her heart, and her lovely earthy scent.

The lion hoped that she would enjoy the gift, and continued to think about how he would surprise her today. Maybe they could go out and enjoy a meal together, or perhaps they should spend the night on the beach where they first met. Reminiscing with a companion might have been a simple idea, but it would be incredibly romantic. He patiently awaited a reaction, and the few ticks of silence which followed his words made him a bit nervous.

Kaie's lips twitched with amusement. Her lover had found her thoughtless banter humorous, and the sound of his laughter indeed had a bit of a calming effect. Before long the dreaded waiting game was finished. His initial touch did yield a bit of a flinch response from the Myrian, whose head lowered a bit before she relented to his will. Some sort of leathery ring had been placed upon her head. She felt the tender touch of his lips upon hers. She waited until given the command to open her eyes before she did just that. Then her amber hues blinked with wonder, and both her hands raised to discover what exactly she was bestowed with that left such pride on Skyard's expression.

Fingers followed the leather, finding there existed two intertwined sections of it that wrapped around her head. Something bumped against the side of her face. Her brow furrowed, and one of her hands meandered over to extend the red string into her gaze. A couple of bold blue feathers were attached to its end. Their edges were delicate but soft to the touch. A gentle, genuine smile spread across the Myrian's lips. "It's beautiful," Kaie admitted with a flash of teeth though eyes were still locked upon the feathers between her fingers.

She had never owned a head band before. It wasn't there she'd never liked them or thought them silly. Plenty of Myrians in Taloba had been known to sport them. Even some of the soldiers preferred to wear one before venturing into the jungle with their fang, sometimes out of superstition or force of habit. The gentle pressure around her skull was new but not uncomfortable. "It's perfect. You're perfect." Kaie pressed her lips to her lover's and wrapped her arms behind his neck. The pads of her fingers danced along his flesh. "Thank you, Love." She planted another kiss upon his lips, pressing her body against his.

As truly thankful as she was and hoped he perceived her to be, there was the norm of reciprocity that lingered in the back of her mind. After all, Skyard had made a morning out of hand-crafting a present for his beloved all while she rested. He was patient, kind, and courageous. They shared an intimacy that revealed his sensitivity and his vulnerability. He was the most tender, thoughtful lover she'd ever had the privilege of a pairing with. And yet he could be the toughest son of bitch with massive fangs bared when required. To call herself fortunate in that moment would've felt to her like an understatement. She was far from an artist. Yet she wanted him to feel the same as he'd made her in that moment.

Kaie's teeth slowly pulled at his bottom lip as she retreated her head to break their kiss. Something Skyard would find all too familiar became evident in the eyes that locked to his. "Now here I am without a gift to give you," she mused aloud and slipped her hands down to his chest. One of her brows lifted in a playful arch. "You spent your whole morning making this for me..." Her left hand slipped lower along his torso. The closer it explored to his manhood, the more agonizingly slow did it move in its direction. " I think it's only fair we spend our afternoon letting me please you."

Skyard could not have been more pleased to see his beloved woman smile so brightly. The love of his life stood before him, and pressed herself against him; he no clue how to react. She took him by storm, and again he was left with a split decision. Skyard was generally an incredibly thoughtful individual but in this case he left the decision with his instincts. His heart rate increased heavily, and as she spoke he became entranced with her words. She could change his mood on a whim, and make him smile with a single word; She was everything to him and then some. Whilst he felt her lock lips with him he responded as he normally would, and tilted his head to the right. The kisses he returned were passionate, and fueled with emotion.

He enjoyed the touch of his lovers forearms as they coiled around his neck, and her warm embrace drove him to the brink of insanity. The Kelvic did not hesitate to grasp hold of his bond-mates hips, and gently sink his teeth into the flesh of her windpipe. The Kelvic noticed how quickly his pattern of breathing changed, and how much more aggressive he became with her. Skyards lust was spontaneous, and his hands immediately grasped hold of her backside. He uplifted her and carried her to the bedside; after which he threw her against the soft bed and grasped hold of her hands.

Skyards movements began to intensify, and he released his grip upon her hands in order to caress the soft flesh of her stomach. He could feel the muscle tone beneath the skin, and he lowered himself so that he could run his tongue along her muscles. The Kelvics hot tongue explored her flesh until it reached her navel; whilst his hands took part in opening her vest. The moment that his cranium reached her vest he leaned forward and removed the button with his teeth.

He was in no rush, and did not want to accelerate the process of undressing her any further. His goal was to please his woman today rather than focus on himself. Skyard began to kiss her sternum gently, and lowered each and every kiss that followed. Within a few ticks he had finally reached her loincloth; the only thing that separated him from what he wanted to reach. He wasted no time in teasing his bond-mate, and began to nibble along the innards of her thighs. With each and every soft bite he delivered his visage lowered until he found his face buried in her womanhood.

Within a split-tick he began to fire away with rapid use of his tongue. He made sure to flatten and widen it so that he could cover a larger surface area. Skyard wasted no time, and enjoyed the bitter-sweet taste whilst he licked his lovers flesh. He stopped for a moment in order to breathe, and immediately went back to work pleasing her. Skyard had never gotten to enjoy the taste of his lover in such a way before, but he did not mind doing favors for her on any occasion.

Awakening in passion [ Kaie]

Human. Animal. There was no visible seam where one began and the other ended. In one tick Skyard was a soft lover, the next a primal being under the possession of his lust. A mischievous smirk spread across Kaie's features as her lover flipped his switch and forced her down upon the bed with rough finesse. His fingers intertwined with hers and the weight of his body pinned her hands in place. The Myrian coquettishly bared her teeth. The lion lunged forth to seize what flesh he imprinted upon. Her sensitive, exposed flesh trembled against his initial touch. The tantalizing heat of his teasing tongue had her biting her lip, spine seeming to involuntarily arch in response like a magnet drawn to his love.

With vest opened and torso exposed, Kaie was content at the moment to give into his affections. Kisses trailed along her sternum, explored past her breasts, and foreshadowed a whole new world of pleasure he intended to bring her. Nibbles quickened the pace of her heart and challenged the smooth rhythm of her lungs. The loincloth proved to be no obstacle for her lion, who raised the intensity of their encounter with eager flickers of his tongue. The Myrian's lips parted. Eyes fell closed, and at one point, a reflex to his experienced gestures gradually lifted her back off the bed. Such was his prowess that greed contemplated wholly possessing the vulnerable woman.

It nearly pained her to press her foot just enough against his shoulder that it might encourage his retreat from below. She sat up and shoved him away from her with two hands, feet finding the floor soon after to follow his forced withdrawal until she'd back him to the near wall. Kaie pressed her body against his. She lifted her chin to lock her gaze with his. She leaned in, but forbid their lips to touch. Instead the Myrian sought to challenge his resolve with her cruel lingering before she'd give him a taste. Kaie leaned forward...and then lowered down without losing his stare. Did Skyard even see her blink before she took him in her mouth?

Everything seemed to be a twisted challenge when it came to their love. An undue competition, even. Skyard had given a commendable performance with the use of his oral abilities. The Myrian was determined to showcase some tongue tricks of her own. Up. Down. Around and around. Was Kaie ever as willing to be this creative off the battlefield before? Not one to leave anyone left out, she was sure to give attention to the audience of two sitting just behind the organ commanding her attention with one of her hands. By the end of the afternoon she had one goal: to ensure Skyard could never say she never gave him anything.

Awakening in passion [ Kaie]

She began to force him off of her; like a wild animal cornered by a predator. His beloved Kaie had always been quite the fighter, and he absolutely loved it when she decided to take control. She forced him back, and began to tease him as he had done her. The Kelvic fond it particularly erotic when she threw him backward, and much to his surprise took him in her mouth without hesitation. She moved so swiftly that he did not even have time to prepare nor react. The Lion was swiftly robbed of all the air in his lungs, and felt as if he were being suffocated. Yet, all in one instant his breath came back and he realized that his bond-mate truly meant what she said.

She had gone out of her way to please him to the best of her ability, and he knew that she felt as if she had to repay him. However, he did not care for physical gifts and knew that she was all that mattered to him. The Lion would always go out of his way to ensure her happiness with him, and would rather die than bore her. She practically walked with his heart in her hands from day to day, and he wanted to do all that he was capable of to show her that he truly was in love with her.

The pleasure hit him in multiple waves, and tick by tick the sensations only grew more intense. His breathing pattern was altered for a moment, and became far more heavy and slow. The Kelvics hands grasped away at her sheets until the color left his hands. Skyards grip upon the bed tensed so much that he felt his hands become completely numb temporarily. Was this what it felt like to reach the peak of physical pleasure, and to experience the nirvana that was lovemaking?

Skyard admired his lover from below as his jaws clenched; she made his toes curl as she licked away at his flesh. He wished now more than ever that he could call her crazy, but he knew that she was crazy in all of the right ways. Even if they were to argue the problem would be resolved in almost an instant simply because they understood one another beyond what was considered “reasonable”.

Suddenly, Skyards body tensed and then violently shuddered almost simultaneously; this sensation had been far different than the one he felt the night before. Her oral talents were beyond belief, and she could practically take the soul out of a mans body with a single touch. The moment she made contact with his family jewels his entire body reclined all at once.

His eyes uncontrollably rolled back as the muscles in his legs tensed unexpectedly, and he released a somewhat audible moan from his parted lips. His once heavy, and deep breaths began to calm themselves as he felt a sense of relief overcome the intense involuntary movement. He spoke incredibly softly to his bond-mate “I love you, Kaie.... Shall we go and visit the library today? I do believe that we should spend time there together, and enjoy one another while educating ourselves.”

Awakening in passion [ Kaie]

True to her word, the Myrian woman pulled no punches. The intimate connection bondmates shared allowed Kaie an insight shared by few lovers in Mizahar. The fluctuation of his emotional and physical responses to her actions guided the path of her creativity. Heavy, slow breaths and the tensing of his muscles as she brought him closer to his end provided just the right motivation. His body shuddered. Affirmations of pleasure escaped from his lips. His final physical expression of satisfaction brought the encounter to an end.

"The library?" Kaie rose to a stand again, the smirk upon her lips in the wake of her performance diminishing to a general look of bewilderment. "After all that, the first thing that comes to your mind is surrounding yourself with books?" She exhaled a laugh and shook her head in mirth at her lover.

The last time she'd been in a library must've been when she resided in Zeltiva following the calamity experience by the Scars in Sunberth. There she had been recruited by Matthew and Noven in searching for information about a clan of her people. It had been an infuriating task and slightly offensive. Barbarian literature had no place claiming knowledge on anything Myrian in nature. At least that was her opinion.

"What could there possibly be that's so special to you, Skyard?" she teased him, starting to close the button securing her vest. There was no hiding it. Well, if there existed a way, it was a skill Kaie had not acquired quite yet. The prospect of visiting the building that housed great rows of books imprinted a lingering sense of apprehension.

The Myrian was willing to be an open book for her lion. Yet, in their relationship, it was him that was capable of doing all the reading. If the Common word above a door wasn't "tavern", "Inn", or "shop" it might as well not have been presented to her eyes at all.
