Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

Alex saying the word ‘safe’ was starting to be a reassurance to her. Both in that he was probably strong enough to follow through and the constancy to it. The time she had been in the city had so far been free of problems. It was a nice weapon, and it carried with it the connotations of safety.

Alex gently showed her the locked mechanism. It seemed simple. Why had she not worked that out immediately? She put it down to her lack of familiarity with locks in general. Most of Avanthal did not bother unless it was hiding something important. She could freely walk into the Barracks weapon room and more often than not nobody would even notice her presence. Things were very different.

He returned to the table, starting to mess with his soaked shirt. Nemori became aware her clothes were slightly damp from where he had been pressed against her, but it was not super uncomfortably so. Not like when he walked in. She distracted herself by clicking the blade in and out of its locking mechanism a few times, getting used to the movement of it. The stick itself would be suitable for bludgeoning if it came to it, but having a thorough understanding of the weapon was far more effective. Part of her still hoped that she would never have to use it, part of her was hopeful it would blow over before the situation arose. An idea she wondered if was born out of naivety.

“Nemori. You’ve not had any real practice with weapons have you?” Alex’s voice distracted her and she glanced up. Slowly processing his words.

“No need. Safe. The…." Was they a common translation for the Icewatch? The protectors of the city were a major reason she never bothered. Aside from the stray fox or hungry wolf they was nothing to both her, and she never wandered as far away for that to be a risk. That conversation, however, was far to complex for her to convey in the fragments of common words she knew. "Icewatch protect. Children of Morwen, trained good marks from her. The Icewatch Trained very hard for it.” The slip into Vani felt more natural to her, although she was not sure it really mattered with that specific word. Even if she had known the common term anyone hearing her use it would be as suspicious in either language.

Description "Alex Common" Alex thoughts "Myrian" "Fratava" "Others"

Alex watched her fiddling with the mechanism learning how to use it effectively. Best to learn whilst safety wasn’t a massive issue. However as of the city right now it was anything but. Though his question seemed to jog a memory for her. Her words came out in their usual fragmented state however the vani which peppered them was the same word twice. At least that was what it sounded like. But from how she spoke he connotations were similar to something he’d seen.

“So you have a guard. Who are marked by Morwen?” He started slowly as usual trying to keep an even keel and a regular tone. “Sounds like something I know.” He paused for a moment a look of genuine regret in his eyes but an understanding also lingering there. Sometimes not saying anything had more impact that saying something.

“I know a lot of cities like that. And that explains why neither you nor Infilia, are comfortable with a weapon.” He sighed lightly leaning over and pressing his elbows into his knees. His eyes scanning her and watching the angle and shift in her grip on the weapon. At least he wouldn’t be trouncing over any training they’d already received. “Well now I know you haven’t trained before.” He began again with a slow build up. “Once it’s not pouring down with rain, I’d be happy to take you out and teach you how to use that fully.” Again words slow but the meaning of them and the sound of fortification and offer of his help again should have been enough to help pull her attention towards what he’d meant. He’d help her learn how to fight in a city that wanted her head.

“For now though, I’d be careful with that or you’re going to hurt yourself.” He smirked lightly wondering about where exactly he could take her to train in relative privacy within this city of stumbling madness.
