"Thank you," Wys said with a slight surprise. There, it was out; just like that. The words rang in the Knight's head. All the luck in the world - no, Wys wasn't just lucky, it was as if Eyris smiled at him, for the first time in his life. A smile spread over his face, and then came the condition. He couldn't harm anyone with that knowledge. "Think, Wystern, think," the Knight told himself. Anyone, no...anything. He would definitely end up using Glyphing to harm another being, essentially Wystern was paid to protect; and that involved killing. In the immediate situation, Wys either had to lie or he had to find another opportunity. Now, when is the next situation like this will come up?
That Pycon just keeps coming up, over, and over, and over, and over. Any non-human harassing a human will be dealt with appropriately. Ariel lies to Wystern, made him waste a day. A little frightened ride, was a bit of an appropriate punishment, besides being so very amusing. Maybe he was a bully, but Ariel was a thief, for she robbed him of his time, and Wystern hated thieves; alas it was just too difficult to explain that one. Perhaps Leto doesn't know that Wys is a Syliran Knight? She said it right there; then again, she said a lot of things, most of them silly little Pycon lies. Just as well, the present company didn't need to know anyway, and Wys didn't need to explain. The Knight relaxed, trying to stop to slow the heartbeat; Wys was getting a little excited.
"Fine," Wys sighed, knowing full well that he was definitely going to break that promise eventually. It's not like Wystern used force against the innocent, there shouldn't be any problems. The code dictates his actions, and so do superiors, and their superiors, and then Dyres. Wystern was just another one of Dyres' little lapdogs that would follow any order given for the debt he owes to the Knighthood, not to mention his pay. It was all Wys ever learned to do, and that job he did well. Of course, most of the code dictates the conduct within Syliras, a little Reimancy in the face of a waste of space is comic on its own and it all happened far outside the city walls.
"Lead the way," he stated and started limping after the Drykas. "How did you get involved in this, anyway?"
