While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

A small smiles plays about her lips listening to his words as images form in her mind while they stroll along the path of their imagination and deeper into Syliras' forest. "Yes, of course Chitlins, a mix of auburns and blondes." Her mind muses upon looking down into their sweet faces by flickering firelight, a perfect blend of her and Karyk's features. She can almost feel the comforting weight of a sleeping child in her arms. There would be toddlers running knobby kneed and awkward through tall grasses laughing through innocent explorations. Blown kisses, 'I love you mommy and poppy,' and Never having to say Goodbye. Her breath begins to catch, "If life could only be so simple..."

Distracted by a twirl within his arms, thoughts and dreams circle about to flitter elsewhere like bright butterflies in her mind for another time. She laughs, finally realizing since being at their pond that indeed he could dance; and they danced well together whether pitching a tent or pirouetting down a woodsy path. Pressed close and pulled tighter she continues to sway slowly against his hip and thigh moving to the music of their heavy breathing and beating hearts.

Her gaze fills with this face easily grown familiar and cherished. Gone was the impending dread of missing him for a day, season, year, a lifetime; instead she looses herself in the depth of his eyes. One hand clasping his while his other moves along her spine, hers allow fingers to tangle into the soft curls of his beard as his tongue moistens her lips, pretending to ask admission while his breath whispers needs and wants. Her head tilts this way and that playfully as fingers disentangle moving up to the back of his neck before surrendering to a passionate kiss that bends her back arching with all of her weight supported in her partner's strong embrace.

Eventually Karyk pulls them upright as she clutches at him weak-kneed and breathless to whisper against his neck, "Every night we would dance like this in Leth's silvery light. Our silhouettes a shimmering reflection across the mirrored waters of our pond." She nuzzles her way to his ear to reveal, "Were it possible I would wish it so."

Graciously, gladly, and wanting the same she allows him to lead her into their next steps. Not accepting, for now, that this could be their final dance.

Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow (Karyk)

Karyk smiled at the woman's poetic phrasing of the future that would not be, also wishing it weren't the case. Chuckling, he grabbed Salara about her hips and heaved her up and dangled her over his shoulder, one strong arm wrapped around her waist like a load of lumber heading to the yard. He held her there firmly with his iron grip, and began walking forward through the trees, further into the Cobalt Wood.

Once Karyk found a well shaded tree, a fir of some sort, he set Salara to her feet beneath the sagging branches. Then he leaned in, pressing her firmly against its wide trunk, and leaning against her lithe body. One rough hand cupped her cheek, the other pulled one of her legs up aside his waist, as he pressed in, hungrily finding her lips, kissing her voraciously.

His kisses trailed down her neck as his free hand found her other leg, and hiked her up higher against the tree, wrapping her legs around his waist, so that the woman sat just a hair higher than him, the shipwright looked into her eyes, his heart racing, his lust heavy on his breath, his eyes filled with the desire, not just for the woman, but for the life that could not be.

The man leaned in, as if to kiss her once more, before moving past to her ear, where he whispered a few words that scared him deeply, sending his stomach rolling, but they needed set free from the man.

"I love you."

Karyk then pulled back, looking to the woman's face, part of him not wanting to give her time for a reaction, the other waiting for what he assumed to be the worst.

Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow (Karyk)

Postby Salara Kel'Halavath on July 12th, 2017, 10:07 pm

Swept off her feet in a completely different manner than expected, Salara being flung over a shoulder causes an echoing squeal through the woods followed by gasping laughter. Then giggling which soon fades. Swaying silently, bottom side up with long disheveled hair brushing the backs of his knees, soon Karyk would feel a sudden sharp pinch, irascible fingers finding a meaty hold on one firm, finally rounded cheek. "Nice view down here," she purrs delightedly as her palm pats the offended spot.

No surprise should she receive a retaliatory smack to her own bottom which pushes forth another yelp and giggles. The playful levity felt wonderful, when was the last time she'd truly laughed? Had it been so far back as their time at the pond? Surely not...

Tromping through the trees, Karyk selects a bough-shaded evergreen where she finds herself flipped right side up, landed upon her feet, back pressed to bark and front against the firmness of his unyielding chest. Gasping at tingles sparking along her thighs, higher and deeper as he encourages one long leg to lift and latch about his hip. She meets his hungry kisses with equally desperate desire.

Wantonly indecent her breath moans as another leg is lifted, pulling and shelving her just...OH SOOO RIGHT... There. Everything within her melts fluidly as she looks down into the depth of his eyes finding something different growing within... insistent, possessive, and determined to break free. What is it? One corner of a lower lip tucks between her teeth as it rises to be spoken

~LOVE~

He pulls back seeing first shock, then wonder, a clouding of confusion and just before her eyes close upon it, hurt. In the length of that blink thoughts spin like shooting stars across her mind culminating into one bright point - Everything, she could ever want but would never ask for, Given, only hours before being ripped from her grasp. She knew it wasn't a dangling tease, a play on her emotions, or a trap to manipulate their decisions because it seemed he was as surprised as she to hear it aloud.

Suspended animation, legs wrapped tight about his solid core, arms braced against his shoulders, both hands clasping the back of his neck as if holding on for dear life. His watching eyes waiting still for hers to open. She could feel the pulse of their fledgling bond as a scorching heat burning beneath her left breast. It Was Pain Full. As honest as she ever was, he'd always see truth in her eyes which open to reveal - that she loved him too - but to say so at this point would break her.

"Oh, Karyk." Two whispered words shout a kaleidoscopic whirl of dreams, frustrations, wants, desires, and disappointment. "Don't we make a pretty pair of fools?" Dipping in low, long and deliberate she covers his kiss swollen lips with hers. Breaking breathless, her lids flicker up revealing molten gold, "Show me."

Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow (Karyk)

Postby Karyk on July 13th, 2017, 4:17 pm

The flurry of emotions that Karyk watched pass through her face, did nothing to lighten his worry at her reaction. Nor did he realize he was passing through the same stages as she was, if only a bit ahead of her in time. His breath was caught in his chest, awaiting something, anything, expecting the worse. He'd only said those words to one other woman before, and he'd ruined her, destroyed that relationship with his own selfishness and emotional abuse. By saying them again, he feared that he'd subject Salara to the same. And maybe he'd already had. At the pond, she tried to tell him to stay away, that it wasn't good for him to chase after her.

But the shipwright hadn't listened. He wanted her. And yet here, mere bells before they must depart for who knows how long, he said it again. Put it all out there before the inevitable. Minds were made up. He was still going to Ravok, she was still going to Riverfall, and that was how it needed to be. And she looked hurt. That's where the emotional slide seemed to stop. Pain.

Karyk heard her whispers, could hear the pains and fears and unsatisfied hopes and desires within them. He smiled a bit, yes, there were indeed a pair of fools. And clearly they'd never be anything but the other's fool. But Karyk was fine with that. Better a fool with a heart, than a tool with nothing. He felt her lips find hers, and he pressed back softly, before the separated once more. Only now her eyes were open, those golden orbs staring into his very being. His first thought was 'I hope our daughter gets those eyes.' He grinned goofily, and pressed his lips into hers, raising her legs a bit more, as he pressed her more firmly against that tree.

They were leaving soon, so Karyk had no intentions of leaving anything on the table. He was giving her everything, she deserved no less. Karyk broke away from their eager kiss, his eyes a mix of love and lust, appreciating that golden gaze that had him hypnotized. Holding her there with just his hips, Karyk lifted his shirt up and tossed it away. And his hands wouldn't be stopped as he relieved Salara of hers as well. He leaned into her, kissing at her neck and down to her collarbone, taking his time and going slow. Gently hiking her up a bit higher, he kissed his way along the bone, before trailing down the valley between her breasts, as both hands squeezed at the backs of her powerful thighs. His lips softly kissed the swollen orbs, and teased at each eager nub.

Karyk then stepped back, pulling the woman closer into his chest, before setting her back onto her feet. He lightly pushed her back against the tree with his finger tips, smirking, as he kicked off his boots, flinging them away. Then he settled his eyes on her, as he began to untie his breeches which had become quite tight. As the knot came undone, he watched, curious as to how long she could hold his gaze before she had to look, as the breeches slid down and he stepped out of them. And so there he stood, in all of his Zeltivan glory, as he stepped forward, a bear cornering the mountain lion.

His hands cupped her face, taking charge of this situation, as he kissed her once firmly, before hands and lips slid down her body. He kissed down her firm stomach, one hand gripping a breast, the other firmly on her rump. Lower and lower he kissed, teasing at the waist of her pants, before breaking away. He undid her boots, and slid them off, tossing them away. Then powerful fingers slipped into the waist of her trousers, and dragged them down excruciatingly slowly, as every curve and inch of bare, smooth skin became exposed. And soon, her trousers joined the erratic pile of clothing.

Karyk kissed his way up her thighs, over her waist, his hands sliding up the back of her legs. As he rose up, still kissing a flowing trail higher and higher, she'd find her self once more lifted, and pressed against the tree, thighs parted with Karyk between them. He pressed his lips firmly against hers as he pushed into her, the two of them becoming one. His hips moved slowly, his breath hot and heavy as he kissed her gently, loving the two of them alone beneath that pine tree.
Follow your heart, and the plot will follow.

Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow (Karyk)

Postby Salara Kel'Halavath on July 22nd, 2017, 10:00 pm

This was More Pure than anytime before. Emotion. Passion. Pleasure. Mind blissfully lost in the ecstasies of their full-hearted efforts. She writhed in their embrace to meet each soft-bearded tickle as it announced the next warm press of his lips upon her body. Her arms braced around his neck supporting and guiding him along a broader range while she whispers nothings or purrs in turn with moans across those most sensitive spots – behind earlobes, hollow of throat, the joint between shoulder and arm; and then pleading groans as moisture heated her nipples, hardening one then the other. If only his fingers would squeeze her thighs a little higher…

But instead they push her off and away, overseen by Karyk’s approving smirk. Needing the tree’s strength to remain upright Salara clutches at the trunk while lower lip rolls into a pout, impatiently waiting while he worked off his breeches. It must have been a tight knot because, knowing she was good at getting into things quickly, it was all she could do to not step up and help. But finally…

The pink of her tongue traces her lower lip as her molten eyes drop in immediate appreciation. She would limit herself to nothing this day. The effigy standoff between apex predators did not last long as she pushed from the tree to meet him half way, bold fingertips taking their turn in leading moist kisses of her own upon him until coarse hands tenderly cup her face, lifting her for his turn to tease her final garments free, on their way to further exploration and pleasure.

To her, there was nothing imperfect about him. Mind. Body. Soul. Together they had experienced so very much at every extreme and discovered within the other an eager partner. He was her equal in so many ways. Their strengths complimented each other nearly as well as their bodies melded. A dichotomy of senses from touch – friction between rough, firm bark at back and smooth, firm flesh to front; sound – a variable ensemble of breaths; the smell – primal; all orchestrating them both towards ultimate shuddering surrender.

Having found their way to the forest floor upon a bed of pine needles finally satiated and thoroughly tousled, the winds blow evergreen scent to cool their sweaty flesh while echoes of their loving shiver through her in phantom rewind. Soon Salara extracts a leg from their entanglement with a shy smile, “There is something I would give you.” Dexterously reaching toes out for the last clothing to land into the pile she snags a cuff of her trousers, bringing it close with bended knee. Passed to her extruded hand Salara pulls a small leather pouch free from a tie loop. “You remember the seamstress, Margaret? She helped me make these after Priskel’s Pond when I returned to thank her again for sharing those hens.” She chuckled fondly, “I think she now claims credit for bringing us together.”

Loosening the pouch strings she tilts the bag with a gentle shake over her open palm. Two cords slither into her hand with a soft rattle. Entwining two fingers within the circle of one cord she raises it before their eyes, dangling its charms down along her wrist. Two long, whitely polished canines, one slightly smaller, their natural curve facing each other; betwixt rested a sandy-red, stone fishing weight. “The alpha mates from Zeltiva and a stone from our pond.” Pinching the knots she slides the loop wider, settling it over her head, pulling her hair through and tightening it so that the teeth rested just above the swell of her breasts. “Mine,” she prepares its mate in display, “and yours.”

Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow (Karyk)

As she held her token out she wanted to tell him her truest thoughts, return his gift of spoken love with something more equal than a hand-made token; but she feared what it might mean to him if she did. Their paths were clearly set to part. She would do Karyk a grave disservice to place any other hold on him if he could find happiness without her. She was giving him away because it was the right thing to do, no matter how badly her heart beat in anguish at the thought. So she did have something to say.

Biting the gristle back of her lower lip, her gaze drops away as her hands fold his gift into her lap, "I have something to ask of you." Hesitantly she begins with an obvious swallow, "If you have a chance at happiness, Karyk, take it. Having this time with you was more than I could ever have dreamed. For some reason a god or goddess has looked kindly upon me. I don't expect it to ever happen again; but for you, you may still." Did he understand what she was saying? Surely so because truly they were often of one mind.

Her eyes rolled in sockets of sand, "But if you would, do think of me now and again?" She didn't think he would ever leave her mind. It was all the better that they would be so far apart so she wouldn't ever really know... She could always imagine him waiting; or perhaps, in her mind, coming to find her. To sweep her off the streets of some foreign land and finish what they had started. Would there ever be a time she didn't look over her shoulder or around a corner and not hope to see him? How often would she yearn to meet him at their pond? Salara did not want this for him. She chuckles then bitterly, at herself, "Listen to me prattle on about such obvious things."

Blinking in an effort to loosen her dry eyes, she finally looks back to him, "Karyk Stormwind, anyone can see that you are a fine, good man. You will have your pick of them and now you will know what to look for." Yes, there was a hint of pride, a fierceness that could never be repressed long, "A happiness like ours but better."

She had set the bar, as had he for her quite truthfully.

Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow (Karyk)

Postby Karyk on September 2nd, 2017, 5:01 am

Karyk laid on his back, one arm beneath Salara's nubile form, his chest still rising and falling heavily from their passionate exertions, sweat glistening across his skin. He smiled feeling Salara pull away, their skin sticking for just a moment in the satisfying way that only lovers know. His eyes were drawn to her breasts as they bounced in her shuffling, before shifting to watch her long legs grab her trousers. He let his eyes graze hungrily up and down her form, tempted to just roll her over on her back and have another go.

But as she pulled the leather cord from them, he watched amused. "Ol' Margo, of course she does. She sai' the same t'in' 'bout Nat and her secon' 'usban'." Karyk's eyes watched as she poured out the long fangs, clearly from a wolf, and his heart immediately knew what she confirmed shortly after. The stone was quite the surprise, however, and a broad, toothy grin split the shipwright's face in half. Karyk watched as she adorned her necklace.

Reaching out, he took the one she offered him, and slipped it over his head. He loosened it so that it hung just a bit below his beard. His eyes were locked onto her fang, as he rubbed his own, smiling like a fool. Gaze traveling upward, the wind was ripped from his chest the moment he saw her eyes. He could see the intent there. The look that spoke of someone doing the hard yet necessary thing. His neck and chest grew tight, and he could hear his heart beating in his ears as he listened to her speak.

Yet again, she was giving him an out. Just as she had done back at their pond, right after the kiss she'd stolen from him. It was clear she didn't want this fate, and he knew sure as shyke that he didn't. But their choices, their responsibilities, were tearing them so far apart. He could feel that heated stinging as tears started to fill his eyes. As her eyes rolled and her comment to hide her pain came forth, Karyk's hand was there to cup her cheek, and turn her to face him. His watery eyes looked straight into hers, "Always."

And as she continued, speaking kind words, and essentially giving Karyk to the women of the world, he knew he must do the same. Or something of the sort. His mouth a thin line, as he looked at her softly, before taking in a deep, emboldening breath.

"Donchya ever ge' caged Salara. By anyt'ing. Not by chains. Not by cities." Not by anyone. "Ya're meant to run wil'. Tha's wha' drew me to ya... tha's wha' made me strong 'nough to make this caravan. Ya're the call of the wil' Salara. Never forge' tha'."

Karyk wasn't sure if that was even close to equal, but he didn't care. It was genuine. She had inspired him, enlightened him, emboldened him. He may have fumbled and stumbled trying to figure out this leading a caravan shyke, but he was a better man for it. And none of it would've happened had he not met her out in that forest. Leaning forward, he pressed his forehead to hers, his eyes closed, before leaning down, putting them nose to nose, "An' ya fin' 'appiness too, 'owever it comes to ya."

He pulled away from her slowly, and Karyk rolled over onto his side, facing away from Salara, his hairy ass presented, he reached for his pack. Delving into it, he grabbed the rough hewn mallet he made for Salara. Rolling back over, Karyk presented it to her handle first, "I made this for ya." He said nothing more on that, both because he didn't know what to say, and he felt it said enough on its own.
Follow your heart, and the plot will follow.

Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow (Karyk)

Postby Salara Kel'Halavath on September 26th, 2017, 4:58 pm

Karyk’s plea to her wild side was startlingly unexpected. She hadn't known how much her beast had moved him but as he spoke she realized he really did, or would understand why she couldn’t go to the slave city, Ravok. Pressing a closed fist to mouth it was all she could do not to cry, ‘Run With Me!’ Wide-eyed her headshake promises not to forget. Foreheads pressed close she sees her reflection in the dark of his eyes before, thankfully, they close as his breath whispers over her lips. He doesn’t see the crack of her frown at his welcome to ‘find happiness,’ knowing ‘however’ would be the question. Whispering back, “I will try,” is all she can promise.

His love and admiration had never been so apparent as his blessing of freedom, albeit unwanted, broke a high-strung tension that she hadn’t noticed humming within her amongst the whirling emotions of the moment. One released tension led to another as he turned hairier side up. Oh goodness, did her fingers itch for wanting to give it a swat. She hiccupped a giggle while he shifts to and fro digging through his pack. He would turn back to see one hand firmly griping the fingers of the other, both held tight to her chest with a not-so-innocent twitch to her lips. “With all that hair are you sure you aren’t half Kelvic?”

Had she ever felt so much in so many ways in such a short time; again the mood shifted as quickly as fickle winds, solemn, as he pulls forth her gift. Fingers clasped now to chest in a more desperate embrace, she sees what he has offered and knew immediately - thank goodness she’d decided to keep her tent. He held the tent mallet, a perfect representation of him - strong, trustworthy, driven, always ready to be useful. Clinched fingers relax, reaching out, lightly brushing along his forearm and across his hand as she lifts it from his simple display. Sensitive fingertips quickly find the rough edges of an engraved message so turns it to be read aloud, “May your tent only fall when you want it.” The inside joke reveals a familiar grin lighting a twinkle in her eye, “I will keep it near and perhaps even learn how to use it properly when I want to.” Then her smile slips into something softer than he’d ever seen - a fond, wistful, happy combination. Her fingers continue caressing it’s textures – imprinting the hard and soft, rough and smooth of him into it’s feeling, “The perfect gift for irreplaceable memories. This is more than just a tool. It’s become a tool with heart.”

It started as a little jangle, that moment when nerves begin to twitch as an anxiety encroaches, the little push that says you couldn’t take much more so it was time to leave. Almost casually she sets her gift aside to reach for her breeches, pulling each leg on up to hip. “Thank you, I… ah…” What does one say with unwanted goodbyes? “I ran across Sharay, explained that I couldn’t come with. Said goodbye.” A breathless sigh, “She wasn’t pleased but took it well.” In almost a whisper, “I’ll miss her most.”

Seeming distracted by articles of clothing, he might notice the shake in her normally steady hands. Her body was instinctively preparing for the pain she knew was coming. The remainder of the day was growing short but it was long from over. Finally, clothing respectfully donned, adjusted, tweeked, and fidgeted with in unconscious delay she brings her eyes back around to his, “You, Stormwind, will carry a piece of my heart with you always – freely given. Kelwin knows this is going to hurt like blue blazes, but I’d pay the price any day for such time with you.”

Stepping close her fingers rise to cup his face tenderly, “You have been the best time of my life.” Melting her lips into his she pulls back all too soon, unable to ignore the arguing between her heart and mind making her feel nauseous. “Karyk,” it wasn’t as much confession as it was plea, “mercy, I cannot bear another tick. I must go. Gods be with you and keep you safe, my heart.”

One step backward, then another, Salara turns upon her heal to travel back along the path in a much less leisurely fashion, pausing only to pick up her satchel and tent at the edge of the clearing. By the time she reached the gateway for travelers to access the shipyards of Syliras, what nerves lingered had burned raw then numb as she grumbles uncharitably in an effort to toughen her resolve, “Follow your heart.. what a bit of shyke.”
