The Nine Lives

Since she was a child, Dev’Ania dreamed of becoming a fortune-teller. Her dream was accomplished when she moved to Lhavit and became an apprentice to the Alheas Crone. Though she had much fun working under the guidance of the Crone, she was soon taught all she could learn and it was time for her to go out on her own. She now wishes to continue her fortune-teller career by creating a welcoming shop for all to come and get their fortune read.

When a customer enters the small shop, they are greeted by Dev’Ania along with the smell of burning incense and the meows of Dev’s kitten, Ember. Most of the time, Dev’Ania is already sitting at the small table which is covered in a piece of red fabric and decorated with a glass ball that is used for scrying and candles. If Dev is not seated, then she is standing behind the counter, organizing or writing in her notebook.

Dev greets her customers with a smile. Often she will say something along the lines of “Welcome! How about a reading today,” and then she will list her services and prices before sitting down for the reading. During reading, Dev will light the candles on the table. Ember will often come over and jump onto Dev’s lap or rub against the customer. On the wall next to the table are shelves that contain the items Dev’Ania uses for her readings. After readings, Dev will walk her customer out the door, waving goodbye to them.

Approved! I encourage what you are already planning in the way of growing your own ingredients and continuing to consolidate as much of the business' focus in-house as it were. The more your character can do to benefit the business on their own without relying on outside sources, the more efficient and profitable it can be.
