With the animals of Lhavit and the surrounding Unforgiving calming down this season, tension in the city eases. However, the extremely hot weather is unbearable for many, causing tempers to rise and creating some friction between Lhavitians. There are more parties than usual this season as people try to channel their irritation elsewhere, however most of them are held at night to avoid the blistering heat of the daytime.

1st: The Watchtowers flare yellow, signaling the end of spring and the arrival of summer.
3rd: A few days into the new season, most of the animals within the city seem to have calmed down almost entirely. Wild animals are still slightly skittish, but have also calmed down, and hunters are able to resume their jobs in the Unforgiving. Any remaining skittishness in animals dissipates over the remainder of the season.
☾ 5th: The festivities of Okomo Day are muted while the sun is out, with Lhavitians waiting to celebrate properly until nighttime to keep themselves and the okomo cool.
20th: The Mhakula Tea House offers free samples of a new fruity matcha, chilled to help combat the heat.
☾ 22nd: A meteor shower begins on the night of the 22nd; for the next few nights while it is at its peak, groups of people gather to watch and the observatory hosts observation parties. These nights are calm and a much needed reprieve for many.
26th: The meteor shower tapers off, but a few can still be spotted here and there for the rest of the season.
45th: The Midsummer Festival is held to honour Syna and the arrival of summer. The Taiyang wait for the sun to begin setting before their usual fire performances given the intense heat of the season. More arguments than usual are present this season as people exchange their red slips of paper.
☾ 68th: A brawl breaks out at the Obsidian Club, with plenty of people getting involved. The Shinya have to be called, and a few particularly rowdy customers are hauled off to spend the night in a cell cooling down and sobering up.
☾ 82nd: A particularly large party is hosted in the Surya Plaza when the sun sets; the host remains anonymous, but is a supposedly wealthy Lhavitian who simply wants to ease the tension of the season. There's a 2 kina entry fee, but food, drinks, and entertainment are free all night.
91st: The city celebrates as another season comes to a close.
Theme of the Season: Passion
This season's calendar is based on the theme of passion, whether that be love or hate or both. This is encouragement to explore things that your PC feels strongly about and to figure out where their passions lie. Whatever gets written this season, I encourage both you and your PC to do it with passion. Will your PC fall madly in love? Have a torrid affair? Find a rival? Get into fights? Or maybe they'll just discover some really intense pet peeves!
While the seasonal theme is a way of giving you ideas, it also serves as a challenge of its own. Sign-up for the seasonal challenge by posting below, and keep track of your word count for threads that involve the theme of passion; make sure to include links to threads. If you write at least 15,000 words towards this theme over the season, you'll be eligible for a prize at the end of the season! This season is a scorching and rather dry summer; the sun beats down on Lhavit without many clouds in the sky, and on the few days there are clouds, it rains heavily and makes things incredibly humid.

A maximum of 3 challenges can be completed in a single thread, and if doing multiple challenges in a thread each one should consist of at least 800 words; that is, threads containing 2 challenges should be a minimum of 1,600 words, and threads containing 3 challenges should be a minimum of 2,400 words. Single challenge threads should be a minimum of 1,000 words. If you have completed the challenges, then post them to my office with links to the threads.
