Flick smiled warmly as the young squire spoke of his return. It was a much better topic than his depature. As he kissed her cheek, the kelvic moved her arms to wrap around his neck and held him tightly, eyes squeezed shut and small hands balled into fists. She kept her hold for a long time, before releasing him with a sigh.
"It's just like Riverfall, I'll be fine. I was fine there. But this time, I know I'm not alone. I'm not homeless. I'm not waiting for my death to walk around the next corner. Besides, it's not like I'm locked in one place." Raising an eyebrow, she looked at him with glittering dark eyes.
"Just promise you'll come back." She said with a smirk, light hearted and serious all at once.
