Defending Yourself (Aello)

As happy as Alenias was to hear Aello's praise, her worry for the woman kept her from giving another brilliant smile. Instead she moved quickly to Aello's side in case the woman fell over. Using just her left arm she tried to help as Aello moved to sit down, but there was little help needed. Crouching on the ground next to Aello she listened quietly to her words. She didn't feel particularly tired, but Aello knew best.

When Aello whispered Alenias blinked and tilted her head slightly in confusion. She didn't know what meditating was. Maybe that's what Aello was doing? She should probably try to do it. Sitting down on the ground she studied Aello's position for a moment, and then crossed her somewhat awkwardly. Positioning her arms like Aello as well, Alenias closed her eyes and waited for something to happen.

When after a time nothing happened she opened her eyes and asked softly, "Aello?" but it seemed the woman had fallen asleep.

Was that what meditating was? Alenias wasn't tired enough to sleep, and so she went and gathered up Aello's things. Placing the pack and bow next to Aello, smiling at Yune as she settled back on them, Alenias started stretching like Aello had said. She was happy that Aello was teaching her how to fight. Next time something bad happened she wouldn't be scared, and could help keep Aello safe.
