Alenias Basic Information Race: Kelvic (Blue Jay) Birthday & Age : Summer 21st, 508, 5 (Looks to be in the late teens to early adulthood) Gender: Female Physical Description Though Alenias stands at 5’ 6” her slight build means she only weighs around 120. Her long hair, which falls around her thighs, is a pale blonde. Her face is rather plain except for her nose which is rather sharp and slanted, much like a bird’s beak. Her near black eyes seem just slightly too small for her face, and are usually looking around quickly at the surroundings. Having little sense of fashion her hair is quite often is disarray. Alenias' extended time in the wilderness has only increased her wild appearance, and the combination of bouts of illness and the gnawing emptiness inside her have left her looking somewhat gaunt with sunken eyes and hollow cheeks. It's also staved off the obvious maturing of her body, though her figure does still show more of a woman's curve to it than a girl's. As a Blue Jay Alenias appears pretty typical for her species, with brilliant blue features on her top/back, and plain white ones on her front/bottom. Character Concept Alenias’ view of the world is skewed towards the larcenous slant, and as such her view of possessions is “You have what you hold”. So if someone isn’t actively holding an object that means it is up for grabs. This also applies to her possessions, and so anything she values is kept close and held tight. The only exception to this rule is where someone lives, and she is fiercely defensive of wherever she might be calling home at the time. Things that sparkle are one thing that can almost always catch Alenias’ attention, and she will snatch them up if she has a chance. The only thing that really discourages her larcenous tendencies is a large imposing presence, like that of a armored guard or very large merchant. Thanks to Aello's instruction Alenias now does understand the basics of paying for things, but she is still more like to take something than attempt to buy it. Character History Alenias was born in the city of Ravok to a prostitute who worked in one of the brothels there. At first the woman was happy to have the baby girl, but when Alenias started growing faster than any normal human would she was cast out as a freak at just a season old. It wasn’t long after she was cast out by her Mother that Alenias was found by Treanas, and true to her Kelvic nature, she was more than happy to do what he asked of her. Treanas, a simple thief and child of the street, was pleasantly surprised to find that Alenias had a natural talent for hiding and snatching things from merchants he counted on for survival, and so took her in as an accomplice and helper. Alenias was trained by Treanas in the arts of larceny, and the two made a decent living for a couple years. Staying together in a rough “home”, that Treanas had discovered as an abandoned storage room on a larger building, Treanas was happy, and thus Alenias was happy. In the Fall of 510 AV Treanas left Alenias, saying he had some business to take care of, and telling her to wait for him. Obediently Alenias waited, surviving off the streets as Treanas had taught her, but as the season turned to winter without his return she grew anxious and began to search for Treanas throughout Ravok. Part way through the Summer of 510 AV Alenias found Treanas, in a manner of speaking. This brief reunion was brought about by Trevinus Nitrozian, who turned out to be Treanus' older brother. Not only had Treanus hidden his true name and privileged birth from Alenias, but also his worship of Priskil and service to The Rising Dawn. It was this service that he had left Alenias for, to steal some documents and a dagger, and Trevinus had brought Alenias to get information out of his younger brother. Treanus finally revealed what he had done when Trevinus threatened Alenias, and then was left to die as Trevinus left to retrieve the dagger. Taking Treanus' dying words to mean he wanted Alenias to go keep the dagger from his brother, the little Kelvic left to find Siriana and to keep the dagger from Trevinus. Though they were chased, the two managed to evade Trevinus and his men, and hand off the dagger to another follower of Priskil. After Treanus' death Alenias wandered the streets of Ravok until she found Aello. Quickly taking a shine to the woman Alenias happily followed her lead, and after a dangerous struggle with a wolf she bonded to the Aello. Delighted to have someone to take care of her again, Alenias dedicated herself to following Aello and being useful to her. Aello trained her a bit in how to fight, which mildly helped when the two were bullied by some guards while eating at the Silver Sliver. When the dust settled two city guards were dead, and Aello was arrested for murder of a guard. Terrified of losing a caretaker again Alenias went to the only person she knew of who could help, Siriana. Siriana reintroduced Alenias to Treanus' ghost, and together the two of them managed to free Aello from the Ebonstryfe prison, after which Treanus moved on in the cycle of reincarnation. Knowing the Ebonstryfe would be looking for them, Aello and Alenias kept a low profile and spent much time in the wilds outside of Ravok. During this time they met Nex, another Kelvic. Though distrustful at first, Alenias soon warmed up to Nex, and experienced her first taste of physical attraction with him. Though things did not progress beyond a kiss and some snuggling, Alenias was far happier with her life than she could have imagined previous. As is often the case in Mizahar, this happiness did not last forever. While out in the wilderness with her companions Alenias became sick, delirious with fever, and during a particularly stormy and confusing night she found herself separated from them and lost in the woods. When Alenias finally recovered from her illness she could find no trace of Aello or Nex. She spent an entire season searching for them, but eventually had to admit she was truly alone again. She lived for a time among the other birds of the forest, but with time the growing emptiness within her, the desire for to be bonded again, drove her back in the direction of the only home she had known, Ravok. Now, after enough time that most the people and adventures of before are vague, dreamy wisps, Alenias has found herself once again on the shores of the city on the lake.
