Sometime in the afternoon
Around Alvadas
The sky was clear in Alvadas, yet the sense of danger remained. Monsters had invaded the city when the djed storm struck, taking advantage of the illusions that mutated them and the breach in the walls. The citizens had stood up together with the government agencies to protect their city, and now that the walls were rebuilt the Womiyu had been painstakingly hunting and clearing the area of monsters.
Yet, their job was not done for rogue mutations exist; the city was not truly safe yet until there was a hundred percent extermination rate. That was not Eri's concern, for in his hands held a small piece of parchment.
In the aftermath of the djed storm people had to evacuate in other seek safety, and there were plenty of merchants who had to leave their products and stocks in their shops, only managing to bring a few items with them in the hurry. On hindsight, they realized the importance of the other items they left behind. The agony of knowing that monsters continued to roam and destroy anything they come across, and opportunistic bands of looters roam to enrich themselves caused these merchants to begin hiring mercenaries to retrieve the more valuable goods.
This was where Eridanus came in. Using his combat abilities as proof of his reliability in that he would not be killed the moment he stepped out, he offered to retrieve such goods at a price. After a little haggling, a merchant who dealt in certain magical supplies stepped forward, and had confided that his shop was in the part of the city that was the least stabilized, for the Silencers had been focusing more on the central areas.
He had agreed, and so he trekked to the less safe corner of the city, his eyes reading through the list again to refresh his memory before keeping the parchment. His twin blades were secured by the weapon harness strapped on his back, but he did not wield them unless there was a need to.
Stepping forward tirelessly, his eyes sought the run-down streets of the city, attempting to identify the obsidian triangular-shaped roof that was the identifying characteristic of his employer's shop.

A glowing ruby ring
A leather knapsack with a drawing of glassware outside
A thick wooden staff
A vial of light blue liquid
A tiny transparent case containing pale green powder
