A few of us are going to get together (sort of - over the net) and have a bake off this sunday. It started out as a project Cayenne and I were going to do together last sunday, but as such things go there were things that got in the way of my participation - taxes and kittens! So, we decided to do it this sunday. We're all going to bake together and post pictures of the results. As far as I know, its Cayenne, myself, Miharu, and Stitch who'll be playing. But you are welcome to play as well. We're going to make a tricolored rye braid bread.
The recipe is here along with a picture of the bread. If your interested, we're going to start late morning (for me) or early afternoon for the more western folks. It doesn't actually matter what time you start - just that if you want to play you do. We'll post results here and maybe have some sort of competition or something with the resulting images! For the record I've never tried this recipe and I am not normally a bread baker, but this sounded so much fun. So, though it takes a bit of time, don't be afraid to give it a try! I have no idea if mine will even look photographically worthy, but its still a whole lot of fun trying. I know Stitch is already pondering putting twists on the recipe himself.
