Hunting (Lyam)

Sylkra took off her skins and put them in her bag just as Lyam left. She stuffed them in her bag then shifted, quickly picking up her bag and following Lyam. She could tell he was really uncomfortable in that dirt and blood. When they reached the lake and Lyam was done, she looked at him, and put her ears back. There, on the other side of the lake, was a ginormous mountain lion, ready to attack.

She growled and snarled, hoping to scare the lion. But instead it let out a roar and jumped to the other side. Trembling, Sylkra growled even louder. It didn't care. It tried jumping on her, but she was too fast. Jumping to the side, she bit it as it leaped.

She hoped Lyam was shifting and helping her.

Hunting (Lyam)

Postby Lyam on April 15th, 2012, 3:04 pm

Lyam had taken so less care of his environment that he had even not noticed the giant predators on his back. The curious expression and the growls of Sylkra warned him before the mountain lion jumped toward them but it was a bit late to react correctly. Lyam first wondered what such a beast was doing on the forest and why it tried to catch wolves instead of deers, but then guessed that maybe Sylkra could need some help, eventually, if possible, if he were not to busy, thinking about unimportant things while she was avoiding mortal jaws. He shook his head and put out the water he had on the eyes and shouted a single word that sounded like an order “Run!” Then he went out of the river and shifted before barking to attract the giant lion’s attention while Sylkra ran away. The huge predator turned indeed his head to see the second wolf that had suddenly appeared behind him while its little mind tried to figure out how the human could have disappeared to let his place to a wolf. Lyam did not wait longer and took advantage of its distraction to follow Sylkra in the forest. They finally had been lucky: if a mountain lion was much stronger than a wolf, the former were running much faster. Soon, the predator was far behind them. Still, they were out of breath and the forest remained very dangerous. Lyam shifted, took no care about his naked body and gazed at the other Kelvic. “We shall not stay here, it’s too dangerous. I propose you to shift too, it will change our flavour and we could so drop the mountain lion once and for all.

Hunting (Lyam)

Sylkra panted as they ran through the forest. the lion practically scared her to death, so when Lyam shouted to run she happily obeyed. They ran through the forest together, Sylkra keeping a steady pace with Lyam. Once they reached the clearing, she dropped her pack, still in her mouth, and shifted.

Once human again, she reached in her pack to grab her skins. She was sweating from the rush of the attack. Lyam looked like he didn't care he was bare, but neither did Sylkra. She agreed with Lyam, "Yeah, we should. But I still don't know your name?"

Sylkra accepted to shift and slip her clothes while Lyam remained naked. She did not seem disturb however, so he did not try to change anything. He smiled gently when Sylkra underlined the fact she still did not know his name.

Sorry about that,” he just answered “I’m Lyam.

Then he listened carefully to the forest, looking for any sign of the predator. Making a wry face, he added “I’m not sure where it is. Well, I know a better place, would you follow me?

Once again, he did not wait the answer but walked instead of running. They went along the forest about half an hour until the last tree disappeared to reveal a wonderful plain lightened softly by the moon. In the middle of it was a little pound where some ducks were sleeping. Just smiling to the girl, Lyam jumped forward and shifted in the same movement to run with his four paws and plunge again in the water. He barked noisily to scare some ducks before shifting again and becoming a boy who was just bursting out laughing. “Come on, come!” he said to Sylkra who was still in the grass with her clothes on her. “Let’s finally begin to have some fun!” Then he swan toward her and made her a big smile… before splashing her with fresh water.

Sylkra followed Lyam through the thick trees until they reached a medium sized pond, with a couple of ducks in it. She took off her clothes once more and shifted, putting her skins and pack inside a hollow tree. She went over and sniffed the ducks, to make sure they weren't harmful. Then Lyam splashed her, and she knew he was looking for some fun.

She leaped into the water, making a big splash all over him. She swam around for a bit, not going near the ducks.

"Hi there Lyam, it's nice to meet you!" she smiled with another splash going towards him.

They were playing in the water loudly like children, splashing each other with lots of laughs. Swimming faster toward the girl, Lyam caught Sylkra in his arms and made her sink under the water. The sensation of his skin against this of the girl was first strange to the young boy, even in the water. He had never touched or been touched by a girl before. Well, he had been by Nadya’s hand of course, when she was curing him, but it was very, very different. It had in fact nothing to do with this new kind of contact. But anyway, he ignored that feeling and pushed Sylkra to begin a little fight in the water.

Sylkra loved it when they were underwater, his skin touching hers. It was a different feeling, but was a lovely one. She enjoyed it while it lasted, but soon, he pulled them up out of the water again, and gave her a little push. What did this mean? Was he looking for a play fight?

Of course, stupid. said her conscious. He likes you.

Well when you put it like that!

Sylkra pushed him too, then made another splash going straight toward him. She felt a child again, playing in the cool water.

Hunting (Lyam)

Postby Lyam on April 15th, 2012, 4:21 pm

The fight lasted a moment and ended without any winner, like any child’s game. Lyam sighed with joy, a bit tired of all they had done in so few time: running, hunting, running, swimming, being hunt, running, walking, running, swimming, fighting, playing… He smiled to Sylkra and finally asked after a long silence when they both recovered “I’ve never seen you before… Have you been in Zeltiva for long?” He had much more questions to ask but remained on a polite silence, waiting for Sylkra's answers and maybe questions. However, he couldn't help his mind to think about this strange feeling he had few minutes before. Sylkra was indeed the first wolf Kelvic he met since he had left his parents. Was that linked? He decided it was, knowing clearly that he considered Sylkra as a 'one-night friend'. He did not know her and he would certainly never. This night was very fun, but that was it... Completely lost with his feeling, Lyam's attention went back to Sylkra.

Sylkra had fun, splashing about with Lyam. She had never felt what she did... it felt, foreign. Never had she had the feeling before. She hoped she could continue her travels with him. They seemed, linked somehow. Sylkra snapped out of her thoughts when Lyam asked. She responded, "Well... I guess you could say so. I came here about a season ago."

She gazed up into his bright green eyes and added, "But that's not that long."

Well… that’s right.” Lyam smiled when she hinted that they could have missed each other with ease in that big city, all the more as they had been both in Zeltiva for only one season. They remained silent one moment, facing each other in the water. Lyam shivered. “Wow, far less cool when you’re not moving.” he said about the water. “Dyou wanna come back in the city?” he then gently asked, just in case she would be frozen too. “Or… dyou wanna do something special before coming back home?
