Going Forward [Sariana, Sylkra]

Sylkra almost snarled when Nira'lia tryed to touch the horse. From the second she saw the horse she grew a fondness to it, and now was protective of it like it was her baby. She hadn't even communicated in any way with it yet... although she liked it so she wanted to keep it safe.

Sylkra's eyes flashed with shock as Nira'lia said she was a wolf. Was it that obvious? She had a little bit larger canines, and her eyes were like the moon... but, that wouldn't give away she was a wolf would it? She couldn't help but ask how she knew.

"How did you know?" she said.

Oh no... did she unsettle the konti? She was sorry, but it was too late. So she tried to change the subject by saying, "Of course you can come. I need someone to help me get to Alvadas."

Going Forward [Sariana, Sylkra]

The palomino strider sniffed the slightly webbed hand of Nira'lia, tail flicking slightly and ears forward. He had no qualms being petted, and allowed her hand to rest on his golden muzzle. Sariana smiled as the konti spoke, her sapphire eyes widening for a moment as they turned to look at the Sylkra. A wolf? Now that someone pointed it out, the drykas could picture the young woman as a wolfish sort of character. The brunette liked the idea. Wolves were strong, good hunters and good runners. Loyal friends to their masters or pack. And a judgement of character couldn't be made over the make of someones race.

As Nira'lia suddenly realised she had no way to keep up with them, Sariana turned away from the girls to fiddle with the saddle bags tied to Vrathetu's flanks. The kelvic, obviously shocked at her unveiling, quickly recovered by stating her agreement to have travelling companions.

"We're safer in a group too. Safer then travelling alone. Plus we can pool our resources and skills." Turning back from the saddlebags, she pushed her long raven tresses away from her face and slapped the stallions rump.

"As for travel, Vrathetu isn't just a pretty face. We can ride double easily enough." Tossing his pale mane, the stallion nickered in what sounded like agreement. Smiling warmly, the drykas warrior looked between the two.

"See, he doesn't mind at all."

The Konti looked startled. She gave Sylkra a questioning look, wondering if she had done something wrong. When Sylkra spoke up, Nira'lia realized that she had blurted out the fact that she knew Syklra was a wolf.

"Oh, I... I was just guessing. It's not the first time I've seen a wolf Kelvic before," lied Nira'lia. She didn't want to divulge the fact that she had taken a peek at Sylkra's chavi. Nira'lia knew her lie was lame, so she was grateful that the conversation had moved forward.

The Konti was thrilled that the stallion allowed her to touch him. Nira'lia smiled to herself and gently pat his muzzle.

"I guess if Vrathetu here would let me ride him too, that would make it quicker... though please, I don't mean to impose. I don't want to be any trouble, so I can walk just as well, as long as it's okay with you two," she replied, smiling at the two. "And you're right, I do agree that we would be safer in a group."

Nira'lia stopped talking and put her hands to her side. She glanced at the road before them, and then back to her new companions. This was a new chapter to her life, and Nira'lia couldn't wait to start it. And, these two people -- she would be with them for weeks, and she felt very fortunate at their seemingly random encounter. However, according to her mother, it had been pre-determined -- and Nira'lia agreed, and was happy at that.

Sylkra walked over beside the horse, still protective of it. She held herself from snarling and patted the horse too. It was the only other animal accompanying her on the journey. She carefully eyed Nara'lia as she patted it, making sure it didn't take any harm.

When the moment was over, she walked back over to her spot. She was happy for finding these people, she would need travel buddies. Was it pure luck they ran into each other, or something else? Either way, she thanked the gods for these people. Sylkra walked back over to the horse and waited for a response from Sariana.

Smiling, Sariana nodded at the two women, reaching over to stroke the striders nose as he snorted gently.

"Well then, that settles it." She said matter-of-factly. Around them, the breeze blew lightly and swirled around the group before sailing off towards Syliras. Their first destination. The drykas looked out at the landscape and nodded to herself. To all stories, there had to be a beginning...and for the three women, there's had just begun.
