72 Day of Winter

Walking out of the town towards the old barriacks turned healing center the large man walked with a slow grace as he observed the community with its sea based building style. The blue skinned akalak looked around him and after a moment turned her gaze towards the building that was ahead of him. Here out of the worse of the wind he didn't hold the cloak as firmly against his body as he had in the windy harbor.

Taith wore the simmering cloth that marked him as student in the Opal Order. Unlike others of the order he didn't wear and open robe with a body suit but instead wore a kilt, sash and in the cold the black body suit. On his shoulder just peaking through was a healers gnosis.

He paused as he came to the building. It was strange to find a branch of the Opal Order here in this reclusive town, but it was strangely comforting to find a place he was familiary with.

He paused at the entry way and looked around the building.
Do you think that you could ever, Through all eternity,
Find out the generation Where Gods began to be?
Or see the grand beginning, Where space did not extend?
Or view the last creation, Where Gods and matter end?
Me thinks the Spirit whispers, “No man has found ‘pure space,’
Nor seen the outside curtains, Where nothing has a place.”

Cousins In Light (Caelum)

"I'll come by tomorrow," Caelum was promising the silver haired woman who exited the clinic ahead of him. Sun shadows threw his face into temporary glare, an over-bright gleam off aged gold; but then he shifted, slouching against the door jamb, and the illusion dissipated.

A toothless grin was delivered Syna's exiled son by the old woman before she brushed past Taithrosa with a murmur and a surprisingly agile stride despite the cane she carted with her.

Weathered boots, worn riding leathers and a tattered, cableknit sweater still scented somewhat of salt and Laviku hung on the ethaefal's rangy frame, far from the robust health every other member of his fallen race could boast. He watched his the woman go, wiping his hands on a scrap of wrinkled muslin, before directing amber eyes towards the tall figure standing nearby.

"Can I help you?" He asked in that thick, drawn voice. His eyebrows rose as he caught sight of the blue skin that marked the stranger's race, and the rest of the details came after.

Rak'keli's own gnosis. The sign of an Opal Order Healer.

A friend of Cian's? He wondered.

Only then he caught sight of the face and recognition struck him dumb.

It was an old memory, though not made so by time so much as life altering events. A sea shore and the roaring music of a waterfall, questions and bitterness, brotherhood and umbrage.

"Taithrosa?" He questioned, mostly disbelieving.

The figure watched from the Amethyst Baths, spirited behind one of the Priskil pillars in the doorway. The surveillance had gone unnoticed until the Akalak turned in hesitation, looking around. The figure swept backwards, stepping out of any lines of vision. They could not be seen. Not at this stage.

When the Akalak had turned back round and begun to move into the Clinic, the figure moved out slowly, keeping close to the wall. They watched as the Akalak was greeted by an Ethaefal. The Ethaefal was known to them. Caelum. And with that, the figure left as silently as they had come.

Surprise registered on the face of the Etheafel as he saw his brother standing in the doorway. It was a surprise to run into any of the sons and daughters of Leth and Syna, but to run into one twice after having lost track of them. That was extremely rare.

The Akalak looking son of Leth smiled at his brother. His teeth flashed white against his blue skin and his silver eyes had a question in them as he moved forward. It was always strange to meet with others of his race. They both had once spoken a language complex and beautiful, but they couldn't speak it any more. It had been a language that had transended mortal words.

"Caelum." He said in surprise. "It is a pleasure to see you again brother." He said with his accented voice. "We do meet in the strangest places."

"You're an Opal Order healer now?" Surprise remained evident in the slopes and burnished shadows of his countenance, striking in the full light of day.

Hastily, he stuffed the wad of muslin into the pocket of worn leather riding trousers, thereby freeing up his hand to shove out for a handshake. "You've been to Mura then? Since I saw you in Riverfall, I mean."

It was disorienting, running into someone he had known upon a time at the edge of the world. A physician's absent visual examination was performed, an unconscious habit to seek out signs of injury or illness.

"Come in," he invited. "You're newly arrived?"

OOC: Sorry, We moved lost internet got internet had a baby and things finally settled down.

IC: Taithrosa looked down at the robes he wore and the mark upon his shouler and then looked up. "I am still one in training, but yes after we saw each other in Riverfall I did go to Mura and have been there since."

Taithrosa also looked his brother over and nodded his head and joined him in the building. "You have become a healer as well?"
