His father worked in the icestone mines and his mother was well known for the beautiful building designs she came up with. Lor’eno was surrounded by miners and discussions of icestone as he grew up and accepted that as his path in life. At the young age of fourteen Lor’eno began working in the mines. Always known as an easygoing and friendly young man he quickly grew in the other miners’ esteem. Most members of Iceglaze expected Lor’eno to eventually take the place of Taberlia Iceglaze as mine foreman when she retired. Taberlia took the promising man under her wing and began grooming him for the position. In 497 AV the aging Taberlia stepped aside and Lor’eno became the new mine foreman. He is easily seen as one of the most approachable and likeable members of Iceglaze. A few years after taking his place as foreman he met an equally affable young woman, Volania Skysong. Within a year the two were married and most miners noticed their foreman wore a perpetual smile as he went about his tasks. Over the years the two have had a single daughter, Larrana. Most evenings the family retreats into their Arvinta where the sweet voice of Volania can be heard, occasionally accompanied by a shaky baritone though Lor’eno would never admit to joining in with his wife’s songs.
